I visited Crusoe's Legacy on 07/15/2026…read more My chicken was cooked fine, but it could've used more seasoning. My sister's wings were underseasoned as well, and they were pale in color. However, instead of just offering to replace them, the server went back to the kitchen, and then came back to relay what the chef said about why they look the way they do.

I'd never really noticed this bar before, since I entered from the back, but I'm so glad I stopped in. The patio is spacious and inviting, the inside is super clean, and there are plenty of tables perfect for groups. TVs are everywhere, there are a few slot machines if you like to gamble, and of course a dartboard--because what neighborhood bar is complete without one? The service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and quick to get our food out. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I had the fried chicken and two sides GREAT! The portion sizes were generous, and I truly have no complaints about the food at all. We didn't try the cocktails this time, but everyone at the bar looked happy and well taken care of, and the bartenders were clearly on top of things. Crusoe's feels like the kind of neighborhood spot you can count on: great service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'm so happy we found this place--it's definitely going to be our local watering hole. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out!

After looking at a handful of menus on the street, we de died on Good Company. Service was great. Very attentive. They immediately asked if we had any dietary issues and then promptly after hearing out needs, made a handful of recommendations. We started with the cauliflower. It was excellent the light sauce and pine nuts really made this dish top notch. The vegetarian and GF adults then split the Caesar salad and the squash seasonal salad. Both were so flavorful, filling and entirely unique. If you're a salad eater, I'd highly recommend either one of these. The carnivore in our group ordered the Italian beef with French fries. Unfortunately they were out of the Italian beef so he had to settle on the wings. The wings were a solid lunch after an appetizer, but the sauce was not what was expected. Overall, the menu is simple, maybe 15 items in total and they probably need to have more for carnivores who are looking for something other than a hamburger and not too heavy for lunch. But for the other 2 in our group, we walked out super satisfied.

There were a few people in the dining area and a person at the bar. Our host welcomed us and asked if we had a reservation, we did not. He led us to a table and indicated our server would be with us shortly. We reviewed the menu and reading about them and their philosophy, the menu, the drink options and so forth. One of the staff behind the bar came and took our order. I stuck with water and we ordered chicken wings to share, I also got the Cucumber Tomato Salad for my meal, it sounded so fresh! Chicken wings came out fairly quick; delivered by the host who seated us. They were really good. The skin was crisp and the buffalo sauce a good flavor. We both enjoyed them. They came with a Green Goddess dressing, I am not a fan of that dressing, but the wings were good on their own. My salad came out and it was as refreshing as it sounded! It was the half salad, and it was a generous portion. Cornichon, Oven-Roasted Tomato, Crispy Shallot, Chopped Egg, and Dill Buttermilk dressing. It was perfectly dressed, and great proportions on the ingredients. My daughter ordered the Patty Melt advertised on Union Loafers bread and that clinched it for her. She indicated it was very good. The food was delivered by someone other than our server. After our food was delivered no one came back to check on us and we waited quite a while before we could get someone's attention to bring boxes and our check. While we were waiting the employees were setting up for dinner service, adding mini aperitif style glasses and then a couple came in for an early dinner and their server was so awesome, he came over and chatted with them offering samples of some kind of alcohol, he was so friendly! If we had been a little later and had him for a server, it would have changed our whole experience! We both commented that on our way out after we had eventually got settled up

Entry into the Restaurant and the order counter is straight ahead with a bar and bar seating to the right. Open, large dining area. If there is a line to the counter you have a great little area full of local goodies. Cute little books like Goodnight, St. Louis, foods like Louise's Granola, drinks like Southside Alchemy Bloody Mary, and so much more. Service behind the counter was superb! He was friendly and helpful, patient with our group. We were given a number after we all got our order in, and we found a table. We chatted while we waited for our food. Food runners/servers were also outstanding! Dropping food off, inquiring if we needed anything and assisting with questions. I had never had the onion rings before, and we had ordered the regular and the ripped. I liked the flavor of the regular, they were on the bigger side and I usually like skinny ones but these were delicious and crunchy. The ripped ones had a kick, if you like that. I got the pimento burger with cole slaw. I had also never had the cole slaw and it was really good! Crisp and tangy, more creamy than vinegary. I get the pimento burger that comes with 2 patties, pimento cheese, and fried green tomatoes with every intention of cutting it in half to save for the next day, it was so good with the gooey pimento cheese and the smash burgers with the crispy edges I could not stop eating! Nothing to save for the next day! Burger gone, slaw gone, a few onion rings gone. No room for a shake to end the meal although I have heard they are great. Great service, great food, fun space.

The burgers are super thin with really crispy edges, so if you like that style of smashburger, you'll probably love them. I liked the Split Open and Melt more than the Lumberjack, and the onion rings were probably my favorite side. We also had the watermelon lemonade, which was sour, punchy, and really refreshing. It was very kid friendly too. They had books for kids to read at the table, which was a nice touch, and the whole place had a relaxed, casual feel. It is a little pricey for burgers and fries, but overall we had a good experience.

The worst aspect is the ventilation which needs much work. We came out smelling so greasy and smokey. We seated ourselves and waited a minute for our waitress to assist us. She kept saying she was new, that it was like her second day or something and didn't quite know the menu. She also didn't know how to make a drink, with that being the case why are you allowed to make any cocktails. If you have a limited cocktail menu but an extensive bar selection you would think their cocktail specials were on point. Nooooo. The BF tried a margarita special and it was awful. I tried a special crafted cocktail that was cool that our waitress asked the guy bartending to specially make because she had no clue about what I was talking about. I hate going to a spot where I make drinks better than the bartenders on hand and that's your job. The BF ordered the the garlic burger and I ordered the Korean wings which NEVER came out because our waitress forgot to order them. So I shared food with the BF. The burger was extremely underwhelming, not seasoned at all. How do you specialize in burgers and mess that up. The best item we ate was the fries and the comedy show was good. I love dinner and entertainment. We are burger enthusiast and if this what your restaurant specializes in I expect to be wowed. We saw all the social media hype surrounding this place and were so excited to try them. To find out it was ALL just hype is a real let down. No we will not be returning, the burgers and service speak for themselves.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the food bc I had dinner plans, but I did stay for a couple drinks. They have a great selection of spirits and cocktail specials. My friend got a tequila sunrise, so I followed suit. The pour was quite generous, I must say, and I'm def not complaining. The drink was smooth, with the perfect amount of tequila and sweetness. The bartenders working were both friendly and sociable. The vibe was relaxed and is a great alternative when things get too crazy at the dam. While I only got drinks, I'll for sure be back. The smells alone (all good of course) will have you lingering back!

Price vs. quality of food. While my food was prepared correctly, some of it lacked flavor and was underwhelming for the astronomical price. A $36 crab cake should be substantial and not a flat little disc. The crab also was a little funky tasting to be honest. It was served with a tiny over-dressed salad. 2. The wait staff seemed a little confused. They brought the table the wrong items a few times. Other than that, it was a decent experience. I will most likely not return because I just do not feel the food justifies the price. I thought a celebrity chef restaurant would be more memorable, not so.
