There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. The restaurant is near the Ilikai Hotel & Suites, between Kahanamoku Street and Kalia Road. Parking is limited, so plan to use a garage or walk if you're staying nearby. Goofy's is a small, casual, hole-in-the-wall restaurant on the second floor, accessible by stairs. The outdoor waiting area has a sign-in sheet, a few high chairs, benches, and a posted menu. Day 1 We started with the Kahlua Pig Eggs Benedict, topped with hollandaise made with lilikoi butter and served with Okinawan sweet potatoes. The pork had a wonderful smoky flavor! We also shared the Niu Acai Bowl, topped with lilikoi butter, coconut sauce, papaya, strawberries, banana, coconut mousse, chia seeds, and flaked coconut. Smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet, the coconut mousse was the highlight. Day 2 We returned for the Goofy's Beef Loco Moco, featuring two large over-easy eggs over a grilled beef patty and fried rice, all smothered in delicious brown gravy. A hearty, satisfying meal!
