Spare rib plate
Linda K.

I wanted to give this place a try for the 2nd time. But the 1st and the 2nd time was the same quality. As you can see in the photo the spare ribs was sitting for a while maybe even for a day. Not fresh and it saddens me because this would be really good if they just take the time to make when you order VS cooking first thing in the morning and reheating food up. Let's do better

7/8/20 I came here for lunch as I was driving through for work and was craving something on the healthier option but unfortunately they only had fried foods to offer. I ended up ordered the fried fish mahi mahi. It was delicious, I just wish they had something grilled or baked to offer. My fish came with rice and steamed cabbage. Everything was fresh and cooked right away. This location was very busy and people were coming and going non stop, so I take it, this is a hidden gem type of spot. I would still return here as the fish was very tasty, but maybe for a cheat meal in the future.

These are my favorite foods to get here and it never fails! Too yummy, they have new workers and their service was great. The place looks well kept and have all the sauces closer to front which is convenient. Always come here when I'm craving some Katsu!

I got a taro smoothie, too sweet in my opinion. The food items look tasty but I didn't try. If I'm back in the area, it might be worth a try

Love these small, unique eateries. It was small, but nice and fairly clean. Not the average place to grab a bite to eat.

The food is decent but the woman working there is incredibly rude. There's nothing worse than being served by someone with no manners.

Finding this restaurant was a bit of luck as we are seldom in this area, but had a doctor's…read moreappointment coming up after lunch and were hoping to find something fast, casual and original. This bright restaurant certainly fit that description! We were impressed by the Hawaiian feel and decor right from the start. We were welcomed so warmly by the young manager and his staff. He explained the menu and some of the options and also that Thursday was a discount day if you ordered a dish that featured chicken as the main protein, because it was Thursday. My partner chose a chicken bowl on a bed of coconut rice (12.99) and I chose the combination chicken breast and shredded luau pork plate (17.99) also with coconut rice, and a delightful mix of sautéed broccoli florets, diced zucchini, onion, and finally shredded carrots. There were four accompanying sauces to sample. I liked a combination of the spicy teriyaki with the pineapple teriyaki. The Sriracha was too hot for me because I'm a wimp when it comes to hot things, and I just didn't love their peanut sauce very much. I think the recipe could be reworked. But I liked that they offered peanut sauce as an option! They also served us a tasty Hawaiian style macaroni salad made with cavatappi pasta. Portions were large, and I love their presentation for dining in, especially the angled bowls. Even their take-home was in high-quality reusable plastic containers , showing the care they gave for even the smaller details. Dessert options include an individual pineapple upside down cake (4.99) and choice of large size chocolate chunk or salted caramel cookies (2.99). There was a serve yourself drink station. Because my partner had the chicken protein he was gifted a free drink. They have locations also in Simi Valley and in Ventura city. The Palmdale location has been opened already for 17 years! We plan to come back here again for certain the next time we're in Palmdale. Plenty of free parking as it's part of a large shopping area, but easily seen from the street. So in short, this was a great find!

I actually looked on Yelp to find out the daily special since I'm a regular here, and noticed the…read morephotos were so outdated and reviews were meh... which was confusing. I've come here for years, and the food is always great!! A few of my faves, the macaroni salad, pulled pork sandwich, chicken bowl with coconut rice or noodles, Caesar salad... my husband has had a few of the seafood dishes and he's never been disappointed either. The service is always excellent, everybody is nice, so welcoming right away, and the food is always incredibly fast. I mean, I'm able to come here on a 30 minute break, get my food and eat, and still have half of my break left. The outdoor patio, and inside seating is comfortable, clean, and well kept. One of my favorite places to go!

BLEH!!! If I could rate zero stars, I would! So I was in Lancaster for an interview, right?…read more Wondering how I would adjust to this place if I were to actually get an offer, I looked for anything that might have reminded me of something familiar. As I'm cruising down the street, I see a sign. Lancaster might just be OK after all. "Aloha Hawaiian Grill". YES!!! That's what's in order, a plate lunch! As I enter the empty establishment, I make a conscious decision to NOT choose impulsively from the menu. Approaching the counter, I ask for an extra second to think. "I'll have the Kahlua Pork", I said to the man behind the counter (owner). Who, by the way, is not from the islands at all. He's from Santa Clarita. =/ That should have been my first clue, huh? He was nice enough to bring my food to me while I sat at a table. Hhmm... My Kahlua pork was more cabbage than pork, but OK, I can deal with that, as long as it's delicious, right? Whoops, they missed on that one too. It was not good. After the salt, it was simply bland. Perhaps that was the reason for the salt. Also, if you know me and my affinity for Hawaiian food, you'll know that I save the macaroni salad for the end. Oh no you didn't!!!! This crap was nasty! I don't have ANY idea of what they had in there, but it tasted like the macaroni was stale. It had this nasty taste that I had to get a refill (Took it, I wasn't going to pay for it at this point) in order to wash that nastiness out of my mouth. DISCUS TING!!!!... and I rarely make that claim. Oh, and when I visit a Hawaiian establishment, I expect the background music to be... oh, I dunno... HAWAIIAN?!?!?!?! Donna Summer's, "Last Dance", though a timeless gem, just didn't sit too well with me. Save yourself 10 bucks and don't go here. Bad, bad , bad!!!!!!!
