We had our event catered from Ahi Hawaiian BBQ recently and everyone loved it! People were complimenting the food all night and it was almost all gone. Our event had about 70 guests and our order was more than enough: 1 large Chicken BBQ, 1 medium Chicken BBQ, 1 large Beef BBQ, 1 large Chicken Katsu, 1 large Mahi Mahi, and 1 large Macaroni salad. We moved to Lancaster from Honolulu in November of last year and found this place! We were pleasantly surprised that the food not only tastes like what we are used to back home in Hawaii, but is even better! The staff is super friendly and greet you when you come in and even bid you farewell when you leave. The food comes out very quickly and my stomach is always so nice and fat when we leave! I also highly recommend their smoothies! The brain freeze is worth it. I liked that you can make your own combo item. I wasn't feeling too hungry the day I went so I got the mini meal - beef. Meal includes 1 scoop rice, 1 scoop mac salad, some warned cabbage for garnish on bottom, and beef for $9 with tax. Beef was very moist and has much better flavor than the Hawaiian BBQ in Palmdale. Mac salad has the perfect amount of mayonnaise. I got white rice, but I like that they do have brown rice as an option. They have also have boba and smoothies. Flavor of the food is great. The macaroni salad really is good. I had the chicken and beef combo. Yum! Friendly and quick customer service. I'll definitely be back. Only problem is that they don't trim all the gristle off their meat. If you are someone who gets grossed out from gristle, don't come here unless they change how they trim. Tried this place for the first time based on the good Yelp reviews. I ordered a Loco Moco and a Katsu/Short rib combo via the Yelp app and it was ready 15 min later when I got there. Food was DELICIOUS! I always order Loco Moco at a new Hawaiian bbq place since it's my favorite and as a way to objectively compare different restaurants. They're flavors were spot on but the one thing I didn't like was my egg yolks were not runny. I'm not sure if this is because I took it home so for now, I didn't take off a star. The Mac salad is probably the best I've had. Katsu was still crispy even though it was in the box for over 20 minutes! I will definitely go back and try it in the store but for now, I'm hooked! read more

I was very disappointed in this restaurant, they do not cut their chicken into appropriate portions, so that you can eat without a knife, they used to shred their cabbage salad, this time they just threw huge pieces of cabbage on the bottom of the dish, so sad that they have become so LAZY, I will not be back (EVER), there is a great Hawaiian place on challenger and J, check them out, they are authentic to their Hawaiian culture, they have always been amazing! Overall I will say this first, YES. The menu options are very broad when it comes to this Hawaiian BBQ which I thought was amazing. You can carry out or dine in.
