I love this airlines! I flew to Maui from SFO then back. The people are so nice! On our way back from Maui to SFO I had a panic attack because I thought we were going to miss our flight. When we got there we were told to go to another line at the airport and when we got there was the wrong line... (airport) not Hawaiian airlines We were last because of the mishap but we made it WHEW! Staff were so lovely and friendly They checked my carry onbag for free since it was a full fight. We had assigned seating and we got the very back which I didn't mind because it was just us two Only downside is your by the bathroom on I'm on the plane right now so praying someone doesn't stink the bathroom up! The flight attendants on both our flights were great! I didn't get to eat because we were in such a rush this morning so I got a small sample box. On the flight here they gave us a breakfast sandwich. Not sure if they do anything on the flight back I'll update! But the flight attendant was so sweet he gave us his own water bottle This is our first experience in Hawaii and it was amazing! We got lucky I got assigned a window seat on the way home. My partner was assigned but she let me have it :) I really like this plane and the flight attendants and the people are really sweet

Sometimes, the longer route gets you there ahead of your original schedule.... Here is my story. I am trying to get to Sacramento. There is only one flight from Honolulu. In the summers, the Honolulu flight will arrive Sacramento close to midnight. I checked a flight from Kahalui to Sacramento and turns out that flight arrives Sacramento at 7:30 ish..... What this means is I will have to fly from Honolulu to Kahalui for my next segment. Well, it worked out well and I arrived Sacramento at a DECENT hour. The staffing at the Kahalui Airport are simply filled with ALOHA. The terminal facilities are not the newest but is clean and safe. There are decent sized sundry store, a coffee shop and a little eatery in the terminal area. Note- Your Honolulu TSA check in is valid if you're heading out on Hawaiian's flights to the continental US Note 2- I admit Hawaiian has had internal POS system changes causing major issues. To that, I admire the front line Hawaiian employees who had to deal with irate, stressed, distressed travelers. Kudos and Mahalo Happy Traveling

An airline that had many pros but equally as many cons that made my overall flight to Maui mediocre. =PROS= *Meal: flight from SAN to OGG included a chicken tomato pesto bagel, cookie, sweet onion chips and beverage (complementary rum and punch). *Restrooms: plane had four relatively clean restrooms. *Outlets: in the comfort seats, there were multiple places to charge from while the average seat had a USB port for charging. However, I wouldn't pay for the upgrade since it didn't have that much more leg space or changes in seat quality. The pull out table was also very clunky for those with extra room as it came folded so items didn't fit as well as the standard plastic table. *Online Entertainment: a positive with a caveat. Had a decent selection of movies, TV shows, and music but we had difficulty connecting our phones. Thankfully the laptop connection was easier to set-up so we copied the url into our phones. Otherwise, we needed the app (that we didn't know we needed preemptively). =CONS= *Rude Staff: one of the flight attendants snapped her fingers to one of my fellow passengers and pushed people aside when the flight landed. We moved to the emergency section and informed that our bags would be relocated with us so we wouldn't have to wait for everyone getting their items after the landing--they weren't moved. *Cleanliness: upon sitting, I saw a leftover band-aid from the previous flight and during our landing, staff came on midway and started cleaning the chairs while passengers were still on. They started releasing some of the cleansing spray that irritated the remaining people on the plane. In all my previous flights, the attendants consistently came around to collect rubbish while this crew left a plastic bag on the bathroom doors for everyone to drop off. Yes Hawaiian Airlines helped me get to Hawaii but with minimal input. I wouldn't pay extra for premium seats as there appeared to be little upgrade between the base and comfort options. Gotta work on that service because I wasn't feeling that aloha spirit.

I've flown with Hawaiian airlines for a couple of times, and the experience is fairly pleasant. Their staff is nice and booking system is user friendly too. The airplane model is relatively new though still somewhat crowded.

12/4/2022: Checking in~Still globetrotting . . . Somewhere~lol! Egregiously unnerving, HA charged me $30.00 for checking in my 30-inch Pullman luggage this morning: Seemingly outrageous, HA will charge me $30.00 AGAIN when I board another HA FLIGHT!!! Unhappy!!!!

Great job all around. But I couldn't believe I had to buy a seat for my companion panda, Oreo. HA's A330 fleet is getting kind of old.

We flew from LAX to OGG for the first time, and I have to say that Hawaiian Airlines was the best!

It's an open air old school airport with the island breeze flowing through and lots of travelers coming through . Staff is not as friendly and you would expect. A bit on the pushy side actually !! Bag came a bit late but the Uber pick up was very close and we got on our way shortly after. On our way out was the longest line and heard it can get to a 3 hour wait !! Still too small and they may have to think of an expanding soon!!

Wanted to take the wifey on a much-delayed quick mini honeymoon to early celebrate our upcoming 15th wedding anniversary! PLUS it was a great time to finally see Mom again at home! Kahului Airport (or the OGG) is still basically the same as my last visit! No frills type of airport - safely land & the payoff is the lovely view of the island of Maui...and the smell of paradise! Worth it if you ask me! Oh, and now they've got a California Pizza Kitchen too now in the terminal's food court - only one on the entire island! I don't care if the Kahului Airport hasn't been fully modernized yet to today's standards and I don't care if there's no slot machines by the gates (HA!) - I love when I fly back into this place! It indeed truly still feels like HOME to me! Stay the same, my nostalgia thanks you!

Southwest is my usual go to when flying domestically. I like the open seating and I especially…read morelike free bags as I am a major over packer. This review is specifically for flights in and out of Maui. This is one of the longer flights Southwest offers and you are not going to get those random cheap flights here. Cheap flights here happen in the off season. That being said, I thought what I paid was slightly too high considering the amenities that are both included and not included in the flight. As far as customer service goes, Southwest is always friendly and also funny. Flights take about 5-6 hours from LAX. Both flights I took from LAX to Maui were on the 737 MAX8 which is definitely more spacious and comfortable that the planes they use on most of their domestic flights in the main lands. We actually found it had more legroom and width of the seats. What they are missing are screens for TV or movies. What they offer is Wifi and access to movies through their app. The selections of movies, TV shows and music was decent and the app also showed flight times, altitude, etc. For a flight this long, I would think they would offer an in flight meal. That they don't, but they do offer a larger snack pack that has crackers, cheese, snack mix and fruit snacks. They also offer another light snack later in the flight. Drinks are your usual suspects but you can also pay for adult beverages as well. The lavatories are kept clean but quite tight for a bigger dude like me. I haven't taken a super long flight in awhile and this flight far exceeded my expectations.

Many rows in the back were open and they had me sitting next to an elderly couple. I had moved to an open row and they forced me to make the older couple move together so I could sit there. They're excuse is "because the plane is balanced" Before when they had open seating they only required a certain number of people to sit in the back part of plane and didn't specify where just as long as it was in the back. Probably another ploy for corporate greed so you buy your seating.
