Oodles of Noodles - grilled cheese stuffed with Mac n cheese
    Adam K.

Want melty cheese? Having a Meltdown is the place to go! Most of their menu is grilled cheese, but they also have quesadillas and mac n' cheese. I've been a couple times and if you hit them up off peak hours, food can be ready in 10 minutes. Otherwise, be ready to wait with all the other folks here to get their cheese on. Every sandwich I've ever gotten here was OOZING with cheese. They don't skimp, which I love (my wife finds it overkill, but to each their own). The Four Cheese Melt is a cheese-lover's best grilled cheese. The Philly Cheese is solid. On our last visit, we went with spicy grilled cheeses: -Kick in the Can - this take on a jalapeño popper was delicious. They did not skimp on the pickled jalapeños either! Nice and spicy and also included bacon, cream cheese, and cheddar. -Slap in the Mouth - this Buffalo chicken sandwich was nice with plenty of buffalo sauce, chicken, blue cheese, and mozzarella. My only complaint is that they chicken was in huge chunks rather than diced up, so some bites were a little more chicken-forward than well-balanced. But if that's my only complaint, this is a solid sandwich indeed. The mac n' cheese was solid, with a nice bit of garlic to it. Child #1 got the Oodles of Noodles grilled cheese, which had this grilled cheese in it. A delightfully cheesy bundle of carbs! Waffle fries were solid accompaniment, would get again. Overall great place for celebrating melty cheese; you won't be disappointed!

We tried the reuben, the mother clucker (chicken parm) sandwich and waffle fries. The fries were nice and crispy. The reuben was out of this world! We absolutely loved it. The mother clucker wasn't my favorite but there is plenty more to try on the menu. I'd recommend giving this place a shot!

    They just started serving breakfast!!

The hours have changed so call ahead and confirm! This place was empty the morning we went; the food took quite a while to make and overall lacked the pizazz or extra flavor we were hoping for. If you want a breakfast sandwich and don't have the time to make it at home then this could probably help you out; just plan to wait a bit!

Another great food truck in Chincoteague

When coming to Chincoteague during the off season, your not sure what may be open. To our surprise Having A Meltdown was on the first Sunday of March. We decided on the Meltdown, the Don't Pesto Me and the special of the day which was a cold sandwich of chicken salad, lettuce and cranberry sauce. We added to that an order of waffle fries and a lemonade. This is our feedback: The Meltdown - is a perfectly grilled, four cheese melt. It was gory and delicious and stacked high with cheesy goodness. The Don't Pesto Me - was a very good sandwich with lots of flavor. It is a bit messy since the pesto (olive oil) easily bled through the bread. Th Chicken Salad was very good and should be considered a regular menu item. The waffle fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked the way we like them, extra crispy on the outside and soft inside. So good! The lemonade was outstanding and was served in a quart container. All in all, Meltdown is a great addition to the ever increasing food truck culture in Chincoteague.

What a gem this place is and I couldn't even finish half a sandwich the portions are absolutely huge not sure how they put out this much food on one sandwich for $10 we got the Ruben and split it and it was absolutely delicious tons of meat perfect amount of sauce the only thing I needed more of was napkins and they gave us a bunch! kids got the lemonade and the lemonade with the strawberry was my favorite absolutely delicious... highly recommend!!!

Absolutely amazing! Super friendly, super fast, everything is made fresh right there in the food truck. They even have 2 benches you can sit and eat at outside. Very clean! Would totally recommend!!!

So glad we decided to stop at this little taco truck! The food was awesome from start to finish…read more The kids loved the tacos and quesadillas, and the shrimp tacos were absolutely out of this world. In my opinion, this is the best Mexican food on the island and honestly some of the best I've had on the East Coast. A shoutout to Woody's next door too--the setup with the games, hammocks, and outdoor space made it such a fun place to hang out while everyone ate. It turned a quick lunch into one of our favorite stops of the trip. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town!

The window you order from is covered and there are picnic tables and chairs outside to sit in. When we got to the window we were greeted and the staff was nice. They answered all of our questions and were patient with us. I ordered the Cajun shrimp tacos and a carne asada taco, with rice and beans. It came to $25 which felt kinda expensive. The tacos had good flavor, the carne asada was tender. I enjoyed the Cajun shrimp tacos the most. The shrimp was a good texture and tasted good. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas, so I threw those away and just ate the meat with the rice. In the town alot of restaurants and stores are in the same area within just a few minutes of each other. This food truck is right in front of the water park, so if you get lost look for the slides. I'd come here again. Check them out!!
