Would have loved to try this, the reviews were good. But every day that we tried to visit, the sign was out that they were closed due to the heat. It was 82. Sorry, but it's summer in Virginia. If you think this is too hot, maybe a food truck isn't the business for you.

Delicious firebrick oven pizza! Think personal size pizza. We got two for our family of four (kids 8&6) and it was plenty for us with a few slices left for a late night snack! Ordered at the food truck and he brought it out to our car when it was done!

This is really good pizza. Not just really good beach pizza to enjoy on vacation but if this trailer was in my neighborhood, I would be there all the time. Located next to Whippy's, Cosa is a trailer situated in a yard with a small gravel parking lot that fits about six cars. They have small patio tables and chairs for outdoor seating. If you look into the trailer and yard you'll see their very own wood burning stove. We ordered the meatza and americano. The americano is a bbq chicken type of pizza and it was so good I ate it all. In one sitting. Literally an entire pizza. Love the thin and slightly charred crust. So naturally I ordered another pizza-the lemon ricotta version of a white pizza. Just as delicious. While we were there they actually sold out of pizzas at 3pm, that's how popular it was. Added bonus they gave my puppy a Cosa tennis ball! Will be back!!!

Located next to Mr. Whippy, Cosa serves delicious wood fired pizzas. We arrived right when they opened and two pizzas (12") took about 20 minutes to make. Got the Pepperpony and Meatza. I enjoyed the Meatza which came pepperoni, italian sausage, prosciutto, red onion, and arugula. The dough was slightly burnt and bubbly. Toppings were generous and fresh. Don't be too eager to eat a slice because it's hot and your toppings will slide off. I enjoyed the crust which was soft, slightly chewy, yet crispy at the same time. C&N enjoyed their Pepperpony pizza, which also came with a good amount of pepperoni. Parking is available in the lot where Cosa sits. Entrance is standard car size and I found quite a few people (us included) turned right before the entrance to the parking lot. Note there are no restrooms here. But since it's next to Mr. Whippy, you could grab some dessert or coffee when you use the restroom there.

Great pizza! All of the crusty goodness of a wood-fired pizza. So far, the best pizza on the island that we have tried. The margarita was tasty and had the right balance of cheese to sauce to crust. We called ahead at lunchtime and it was a 1.5 hour wait (it was a rainy day so likely higher demand). Definitely call ahead! Folks were really nice at pickup--even though we had to wait extra due to an order mix-up, they made the pizzas right away. Will be back next time we are in town!

Came here on a Friday night and had high expectations b/c of all the reviews. They surpassed them. This is some of the best, if not the best, wood fire pizza we have ever had. Ordered the Truffle Shuffle (roasted garlic, mushrooms, ricotta, truffle blend), and it was full of flavor and the crust was just perfect. Would've paired well with an earthy red like a Brunello if we were feeling saucy. She had a specialty pizza with pepperoni, honey, ricotta, and arugula that tasted much better than it sounds! Super fresh ingredients can really make the difference. Everything is COVID friendly too. Masks required and walk-up orders only. So A+ all around.

Relocated from TX to VA. We traveled to Chincoteague Island for the first time expecting good sea food. We tried two different restaurants with big disappointment. One of the two restaurants had us waiting over an hour and we decided to get our check. It was not the waitress' fault but the kitchen staff. A few other customers also left. After attempting to find good sea food for 4 hours, we came across Cosa Pizza. Staff was friendly, informative, and professional. Even offered a 15% military/veteran discount which we thought was a very nice gesture. Staff immediately informed us it was a 30 minute wait, which we had no problem of doing. Let me tell you, we ordered two of the pepperoni pizzas with jalapeños and they were delicious! Cosa Pizza, great job! I would definitely recommend to anyone and stop here again. Thank you! You saved our day!

Margarita and prosciutto e fungi. Both delicious!

Great little pizza food truck. BBQ chicken was great, and loved the MeatZa and the special too. Quick easy grab with call ahead ordering.

The window you order from is covered and there are picnic tables and chairs outside to sit in. When we got to the window we were greeted and the staff was nice. They answered all of our questions and were patient with us. I ordered the Cajun shrimp tacos and a carne asada taco, with rice and beans. It came to $25 which felt kinda expensive. The tacos had good flavor, the carne asada was tender. I enjoyed the Cajun shrimp tacos the most. The shrimp was a good texture and tasted good. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas, so I threw those away and just ate the meat with the rice. In the town alot of restaurants and stores are in the same area within just a few minutes of each other. This food truck is right in front of the water park, so if you get lost look for the slides. I'd come here again. Check them out!!

An extensive vegetarian menu yielded for me some fajitas which delivered a fresh taste, came with a spicy salsa, and were quite filling. They also had some quinoa dishes. I tried to order a chocoflan and was told they were out of it; the fact that they did have a tres leches cake was framed almost as a disappointment by them. Nonetheless, I went ahead and ordered it and it was not particularly disappointing. There was a modicum of cheese in my entree but would be easy to omit for those in need. Given the finite options available on the island for those with special dietary needs, the willingness of this place to fill that niche and the quality of food they use to fill it were a big win for me.

Want melty cheese? Having a Meltdown is the place to go!…read more Most of their menu is grilled cheese, but they also have quesadillas and mac n' cheese. I've been a couple times and if you hit them up off peak hours, food can be ready in 10 minutes. Otherwise, be ready to wait with all the other folks here to get their cheese on. Every sandwich I've ever gotten here was OOZING with cheese. They don't skimp, which I love (my wife finds it overkill, but to each their own). The Four Cheese Melt is a cheese-lover's best grilled cheese. The Philly Cheese is solid. On our last visit, we went with spicy grilled cheeses: -Kick in the Can - this take on a jalapeño popper was delicious. They did not skimp on the pickled jalapeños either! Nice and spicy and also included bacon, cream cheese, and cheddar. -Slap in the Mouth - this Buffalo chicken sandwich was nice with plenty of buffalo sauce, chicken, blue cheese, and mozzarella. My only complaint is that they chicken was in huge chunks rather than diced up, so some bites were a little more chicken-forward than well-balanced. But if that's my only complaint, this is a solid sandwich indeed. The mac n' cheese was solid, with a nice bit of garlic to it. Child #1 got the Oodles of Noodles grilled cheese, which had this grilled cheese in it. A delightfully cheesy bundle of carbs! Waffle fries were solid accompaniment, would get again. Overall great place for celebrating melty cheese; you won't be disappointed!
