It's ridiculously expensive at $20 per pound so I spent over $30 on taffy but it was great. The blueberry, watermelon, and peanut butter were my favorites. Blue raspberry (which is actually pink colored) was also good. I wish the pieces of taffy were a little bit bigger because they're quite small compared to the wrapping so a good amount of the $30 that I spent went toward the weight of the wax paper wrapping but the taffy is great. It's nice to have real homemade taffy and not that Taffy Town stuff that every other candy store buys when it all comes shipped from the same factory in Utah. Service was friendly. They should honestly be handing out samples of the taffy. They asked me if I wanted to try fudge which was alright but on the sweeter side but it's the taffy that was great. At first I only bought a small bag with a few pieces in it just to make sure I liked it, and I loved it. Taffy is soft and flavorful and real.

Just keep that in mind. Other than the prices, its neat and well stocked. The staff was very nice and even cut the fudge in smaller pieces for me when I asked even tho theyre not supposed to.

At Dean's Sweets, our group of 13 was offered a needham which is a confectionery dessert bar made from sugar, chocolate, coconut, and potato and we had the option to choose another truffle. I chose a blueberry one. It was nice to try the needham (often called "Maine potato candy"), a highly localized and historic chocolate confection native exclusively to Maine. I'm usually not a fan of dark chocolate, but this was very light and rich. One group took advantage of our group discount and bought extra items. Kristin Bingham, co-founder of Dean's Sweets, welcomed us in. Dean's Sweets offers a variety of gourmet Maine chocolate truffles and chocolate gifts. Everything is on display.

This place is rightfully busy and they do a great job making their candy boxes presentable. I am kicking myself now for forgetting a photo. I would consider stopping back here for Valentine's Day treats. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and helped me make my selection. Space is small but is in a plaza with a parking lot so you don't have to deal with street parking. Very clean and kind establishment.

I went to the right and found honey for your health, honey from around the area, and different products that either had bees on it or had honey in it. I found this super neat and I spent some time looking at the different items before settling on some honey from the area. Someone did come and say hello to me while I was shopping around. But then promptly went to help someone else that had walked in. Once I made my selections I went to wait to check out, lots to look at. It seems they have some bee keeping items and also have beekeeping classes. So, all around they support bees and I love that. There was a comment made in the shop by one of the workers that made another customer feel less included, but I don't think it was meant to be offensive. But I did happen to notice it and felt well, there's some validity to what was said. Nonetheless, great place to get honey and very lovely staff.

Honey is sold in small and large quantities but nothing gigantic. Honey is from all over the country and many local hive producers sell their products here. What better way to support small business in your area! My favorite is the "rubie red" honey, you hold it up to the light and it's a deep red and has a fantastic flavor..yum! The store sells everything honey and bee: honey, wax, propolis, mead, candies, gift sets, honey decantors, aprons and linens, and jewlery. This store also has classes for those interested in learning this art form. In the store they have a live hive you can look at from behind glass, facsinating! People may not like the high prices ($15-30 depending on the quantity and location honey is from) but it's to support our local artisans and the product is MUCH BETTER then any honey you will find in the grocery store. It's raw and unfiltered so all the healing properties are intact. I am a regular there, going weekly during the winter months to help keep my immune system strong.

There was another couple ahead of us but we browsed the chocolate options while we waited. I enjoyed everything that we took home with us but the best one in my opinion was the strawberry vanilla (I was told they harvest the strawberries themselves). The pop rocks unicorn was also pretty fun! Looking forward to coming back and trying even more flavor combinations.

No fireworks, no dopamine, but ok. My wife hated her caramel things and described one as tasting like plastic. I ate the other and agree, it tasted like a salted plastic farts. My real issue was the price. Those six items, were $29. I know what inflation is but I also know what value is and if they were amazing, I would be fine with the price. They were not. They were somewhere between Ok and horrible so the $30 price was bonkers. I left the mall feeling like I had spent $30 on a claw machine and the only prize dropped was a dirty sock. Flavor and price aside, at least the staff were nice and professional for all 30 of the seconds I was there, which I appreciate because I lost $1 per second during my visit. Do not recommend. You can find better sweets elsewhere in the mall for less.
