Caramels...look at this unique flavor combos. You can order online!

We stumbled across this lovely chocolate shop by searching on Yelp as we were traveling from Bar Harbor back to Boston. When we walked in, we were greeted by two smiling faces and the sweet smell of chocolate. All of the chocolates were beautiful and several of the flavors were unique combinations. I had a yummy Mexican chocolate truffle and it had a little bit of heat-it was decadent. I bought a fun baby dragon for my bestie and she loved it. In addition to chocolate candy, they also create rich and creamy caramel confections. These caramels are not your everyday flavors - check out the pic. The hot chocolate drink is super rich and a real treat. If you're in the Portland area, I would definitely make sure Chocolats Passion is on your radar. I cannot wait to go back.

They wrap it up so nicely-ask for an ice pack when you travel

You must try this place- just go in and pick your fancy delicious flavored chocolate. The service is excellent and they gave us samples. I brought back a box of chocolates for my mom and we had such a hard time choosing a favorite. They have such exotic flavors.

Very small shop but feels very safe during Covid. Only two staff inside (super friendly!!), and both were wearing masks and gloves and keeping apart from one another and from my partner and I when we went in. They had us wait outside initially because another couple was inside. They have hand sanitizer available upon entry. The chocolates are just absolutely divine. There is no better way to say it. The flavors are so unique and so incredibly rich. It is hard to say if I've ever had better chocolate, but I highly doubt it. This stuff is amazing, and there's so many dark and milk options to choose from. Plus, they're making it right there when you're in the shop. Each little square is like its own colorful present. A great gift or a great treat for yourself. Oh, and if you're vegan, I highly recommend the jar of vegan hazelnut chocolate butter.

Delicious. This place is absolutely awesome. Their hazelnut creme is to die for. The staff is super nice. The chocolates are so flavorful & their french lolipops brought me back home for a second.

Wow To find chocolates that are beautiful are usually easy but to find chocolates that are beautiful & delicious is truly a discovery! Chocolats passion has truly unique flavors with an exquisite design! They even offer a vegan selection and unicorn chocolates. The perfect thing is the chocolates are not too sweet either! Be sure to check their hours beforehand! Definitely worth the visit. Also, only 1 party is allowed at a time & mask up!

Gross Confection recently announced on social media they would be shutting down the bar/desserts service while remaining open as a bakery. My wife and I came here many a times for an end cap to the night for one last drink and delicious and beautifully made desserts. From times in their dimly lit space that gave off romantic vibes or even enjoying our desserts in the summer sun outside people watching, every time will be remembered. Timing worked out well and we were doing a staycation in Portland and knew we needed to add a stop here one last time. Thankfully we got our names in on the waiting list early enough Friday and got sat as one of the last tables. We each had one last phenomenal drink; my wife and Apricot 75 that had a great tart kick of apricot and lemon. While I enjoyed their Chai Fashioned which spelt like a chai but had that boozy bourbon warming you'd expect. Dessert wise everything sounded good as always but we settled on two. The Goat Cheesecake and Pineapple Cake. The cheesecake was the perfect sweetness without being cloying and the blueberry sorbet on top paired so well. The pineapple cake was moist and tasted so good we needed to scrap the plate clean. I'm sad that Portland is losing this amazing dessert space but glad it's not a complete goodbye since they'll operate the bakery still! If you somehow read this today and have the chance make it in for one last visit tonight before they close their doors!

The cafe/bakery has a few fresh baked goods daily (don't think any vegan or no gluten-free…read moreoptions). Their website lists about a half dozen, but the last time I was here there were just two: the sourdough chocolate chip cookie and the matcha and black sesame butter mochi. I'm guessing those are regularly available (they also do fun seasonal specials, so be sure to check their socials), but don't come with the expectation that there's going to be a big variety. The drinks include coffees, teas, and a variety of matcha. For me, this is NOT the best matcha in Portland. Matcha Mood is. The matcha here is good (maybe in the top three in the city), but the iced matcha with miso maple syrup and almond milk I recently had for $9+ was just okay. The drink is (literally) half the size as one at Macha Mood for the same price, and there wasn't any flavor of miso or maple. I've seen some internet buzz claiming THIS IS THE BEST... as a local, I don't agree. And that's okay; you might find your new favorite here, so it's absolutely worth visiting. They also do other fun spontaneous matcha flavors, so be sure to follow them on social! Check out their shop as well: loads of chili crisps and hot sauces, condiments and spices, jams, matcha powders and loose tea, pickles and other preserved foods, sweets, vinegars and oils, fermentation ware and kitchen goods, etc.

There's records being thrown down, cool lighting, nice decor and even super friendly folks. The employees here are beyond nice and welcoming. Like they know what they are doing here and they are offering you an experience that is fun and funky. We started off with two drinks. One was called a salad of some sort (sorry, blacked out) and it was delicious. The other was just as good. Ordered the eggplant app - do not leave without this. Absolutely amazing. For food, we ordered a rice bowl with pork sausage and a noodle bowl (with lobster and clams). Don't remember the names. Both were absolutely fantastic. The flavor profiles are just incredible. The rice bowl had so many things happening. Just terrific. The noodle bowl has a broth that you would drink daily. There wasn't one thing that could have made these dishes any better. Service: Great Food: We started off with soft serve and the seasonal earl gray outshined the house honey. The earl gray had a great flavor topped with an excellent syrup while the honey was mild and the chocolate shell didn't add anything, although the 'honeycomb' bits were delic. Crispy eggplant special - good, very small portion Pork katsu sandwich - pretty solid, interesting pickle Pad mee korat - good, small portion Value: Aside from the soft serve, the portions were very small for ~$17 price point, and the food was good but aside from the earl gray soft serve, didn't amaze to the point of paying a higher price point. Overall I did like this meal but portions were small for prices. I hope they keep the earl gray soft serve around!
