While visiting the area for a show across the bridge, I wanted a nice restaurant with a view close to my hotel (Homewood Suites) and located two options. It rained the Saturday morning I went to Haven Riverfront Restaurant so I wasn't too disappointed when I called an hour prior to wanting a table in the main dining area. The hostess did inform me that they had bar seating available on a first-come first-serve basis. When my partner and I arrived a little after 1PM, there were quite a few tables available in the bar area. It was a nice option to do the pre-fixe brunch for $39 which includes one brunch item and a choice of (2) mimosas, bellinis, or bloody marys. I ordered the American Breakfast which included your choice of eggs, bacon, potatoes, (3) mini pancakes, and a salad. The portion size was perfect. The potatoes were very delicious. The bacon slab which very thick but had a lot of fat so I picked off the extra fat. The mini pancakes were yummy and included a small carafe of syrup. What was missing was some salad dressing for the small salad also on the plate. We ordered (1) of each mimosa and bellini. The service was very good but the bill was a little bit of a surprise. When I saw pre-fixe for $39, I was expecting to see a $39 charge for each of our meals and that was not the case. My partner ordered the steak and eggs brunch item and was charged $47 while my American Breakfast was priced at $39. So with the drinks having a price of $9 each, we were not charged a pre-fixe price. Came here for brunch on an insanely rainy Saturday which did not ruin the vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I did a prefix menu and ordered the pulled short rib Benedict which was incredibly delicious. The pulled short rib sat on what I can only describe as the 15 hour potato in a slice that mimicked a slice of toast which was insane and crispy and creamy all in one. This was so genius! The meat was tender and topped with caramelized onions and then had two poached eats on top. The dish was great as a whole and I would absolutely get again, but I knocked a star off because the yolks of poached eggs were filled cooked like hard boiled cooked. While it did not ruin the dish, for an eggs Benedict they should have been runny. The mimosa were good that was part of the prefix but they were nothing fancy. I do think the food is pricey and I don't like they have customers pay for the credit card transaction fee. I honestly think the credit card transaction fee should be restaurant's responsibility. I came here for a baby shower, and it was around brunch time on a Saturday. They had a la carte or a prix fixe menu, which included two drinks. The place had coatcheck, which came in handy. The place has a nice view if you're sitting by the waterfront. The server that we had was really nice and efficient. He asked the table if we wanted drinks, and I asked for mocktails. I had two, and others had a few on the list, too. It was very tasty. I had the American breakfast for my meal. In it were the smoked thick cut bacon slabs, mini buttermilk pancakes, two eggs (your way), crispy hash browns, and served with house salad. It's a typical breakfast, which I hardly have at home. For dessert, I ordered the salted caramel & vanilla ice cream sundae. This was really yummy. It's a large dessert enough for two people. Great views, great service, but, most importantly, great food! My wife and I decided to come here, along with our little one, for our wedding anniversary lunch and everything was absolutely PERFECT. We chose to do a weekday lunch here because we figured it would not be busy and we were spot on as there were only a few tables occupied by the time we finished our meal. I have to admit, we wish we could have come for the much more robust dinner menu, but, honestly, wouldn't change the great experience we had. First, arriving here. You might think parking could be a challenge, but nope. You can easily find parking at an indoor parking lot around the corner on Somerset Ln ... for FREE! Yes, free parking, believe it or not! We arrived for lunch at 11:45am and were promptly seated indoors by the window. It was an amazingly nice, warm day for November, but we decided to sit indoors just in case our little one got cold. However, DO sit outdoors and take advantage of the lovely view of the Hudson River and Manhattan if you are presented with the opportunity. The lunch menu isn't huge, so, in a way, it worked in our favor because with large menus I will literally read through it like a book and change my mind on what I want to order every 10 seconds. I know I'm not alone there - you know who you are. I won't pour through the details of everything we ordered and what was good and what wasn't because just about EVERYTHING we ordered was really, really tasty. The lone item that I would say we would teeter on ordering again were the Creamy Lobster Risotto Croquettes, which were a bit on the dry, stickier side, instead of creamy. However, other than that everything I list here was 100% DELICIOUS and a MUST, MUST order: - AROUND THE WORLD OYSTER TASTING (4 ATLANTIC, 4 PACIFIC, 4 KUMAMOTO) - CREAMY LOBSTER RISOTTO CROQUETTES - CHAR GRILLED WAKAME OCTOPUS - Yes, absolutely order this. It was rainy and gloomy outside, so we weren't in the best mood, but she turned it around quickly! We were seated at a table that overlooked the view of the ocean and even though it was cloudy outside, it still was a serene view! If you do happen to dine at this restaurant, please get a table where you can take in that beauty! Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu, and because they changed up the menu there were some dishes that they no longer had available. But he was able to offer us great alternatives which was great! We decided to order a variety of appetizers so we could taste a a few options. We ordered the pan seared sea scallops, the short rib bruschetta, the southwestern chicken spring rolls, and the truffle mac & cheese. The seared scallop dish was the best I've ever had! The scallops were cooked beautifully (in my Gordon Ramsay voice) the dish was perfection. It was to die for! and whatever the sauces that accompanied the dish blew me away! My only negative is that I wish I had much much more! Went with my family for post Christmas lunch and let me say, I expected way more. The food was okay, little bit bland for my taste and I wasn't even drinking. Between my party, we had the burger, skirt steak, filet mignon, and the salmon. The only dish that was seasoned properly was actually redone. We ordered the filet mignon medium rare for my mom. It came out well done. My mom was this is tough and when I saw it, I immediately had it sent back. I end up sharing my salmon with my mom until her steak came back which was almost when everyone was almost finished with their food. The filet when cooked to the right temp, it was the best of the dishes. It tasted like it was aged. Fries was fresh and hot. Overall, 2nd try was perfect. If only it came out right the first time. As for the salmon, it was cooked well. It was a very small piece though. At $20+, I was expecting at least maybe 6oz. It is probably 3oz at most. The skirt steak was underseasoned and needed more sauce to help its flavor profile. I didn't get to try the burger but my family said it was good. Lastly, I wish they post signs that parking anywhere that doesn't sat resident is okay. We had trouble figuring out if we can park around home goods. By the way, it is safe to park there since the area is considered like a mall area. It's definitely not very clear if you aren't a regular of the area. Overall, would I be back? Eh, maybe just for the view when it's warm and maybe happy hour. It left much more to be desired. When we decided to come here, I couldn't remember why this place sounded so familiar and then I realized it's because several of my Yelp friends raved about this place over the years. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food at Haven. There is a main dining area with beautiful waterfront views. However, we didn't make a reservation and were given a choice of a table off to the side or at the bar. We chose the table off to the side (no view). The table was spacious, like the type you see in old school steakhouses. We ordered the short rib bruschetta to start. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, one of the steak dishes, and the shrimp pasta dish. We also ordered a side of mash potatoes and a side of Parmesan truffle fries. The short rib bruschetta was ok but I would have preferred it with some tomatoes. It was my least favorite of the dishes. I had the shrimp pasta dish and it was very good. There were several small tomatoes bursting with flavor. It made the dish very tasty. It came with 4 very large shrimp and a burrata. The dish all came together nicely. The Parmesan truffle fries were so delicious! They're addictive and had great flavor. I didn't try the other dishes but were told that the steak was outstanding and that the lamb shank was one of the best that we've had. We also ordered the dessert sampler for 2. It comes with 12 morsel sized treats ($28), 3 each of key lime pie, white chocolate cheesecake, chocolate hazelnut mousse and apple tartlet. All were delicious and had its own burst of flavor. It is a bit pricey so be prepared to splurge. Portions are not large. Expect entrees to run from $30-$74, with most entrees around the $40 range. read more

So, I went for brunch and it was surprising to see what they put on your plate. My potatoes were bottom of the pot, super over cooked bits. It's like reallly chef!?! And I ordered chickens n waffles. Not chicken waffles and salad with two sauces one including a very out of place Asian bottled chili sauce drizzled over the waffles, chicken and poached eggs. It's again, why chef. Then a load of ketchup and syrup on the side. Some rethinking is needed. I couldn't enjoy it the way I wanted to with all the extra sauces. And the amount of chicken/waffle was a bit lacking. This was the perfect place to stop for brunch on my way up north (Rhode island). The weather was great, the view was beautiful, the service was attentive and polite and the food was great too. Their crab croquettes were delicious (and they were definitely croquettes, not cakes. The distinction must be made) and the salmon Benedict was delicious as well ( I should note that there's is definitely lox style, not a thickly cut piece of salmon, still great though. Decided to visit this place for our anniversary! (We usually visit the chart house but wanted to try something different this time and this place has been on my list of places to try) Upon arrival, we asked the host if we can get the window seat and she said she will try her best. As she walked us to the main area, she gave us two table option of where we would like to sit. This place is pretty but their best seating is definitely in the back corner by the window. Other than that, the other window seating is just okay. For appetizer, we ordered their oysters (one of each) and it was so good! And the crab puppies? They're like crab cake and it was alright. For our entree, I ordered the brisket because it was recommended by our waiter and she specifically said, "our brisket is really good and it will melt in your mouth." Let me tell you, it was so dry and did not melt in my mouth at all. My husband ordered the squid ink spaghetti and it was okay. It was good but not all that. (Maybe I already have high expectation because my oyster was so good) For my drink, I ordered the lychee lychee (I believe that's the name) this was also recommended by the waiter when I asked her I want something sweet and can't really taste the alcohol. And this drink is definitely straight up alcohol. I couldn't drink it at all. I gave it to my husband and even he thinks that the drink was so strong. My sister and I selected Haven for our post-half marathon brunch. A few friends had recommended it, so I was looking forward to trying it. It was finally a sunny Sunday, so we lucked out with getting a table outdoors. Absolutely gorgeous views of the city and it has a fair amount of shade, which is a plus! My sister and I loved our entrees. She had the prosciutto and burrata toast and I enjoyed the brioche french toast. Perfect portions, loved the potatoes accompanying the toast, and the bacon was delightfully crispy. Definitely wish there was a little less sauce on the French toast, but it was delicious. Now, Haven advertises a weekend brunch 11-3 with a prix fixe menu. This includes 2 brunch cocktails. We wanted to toast our success with some mimosas but were told by our server that we couldn't be served until noon. Odd, since the brunch advertisement online and outside of the restaurant makes no note of that for Sundays, but I respect there may be a regulation they're following. However, as we're enjoying our food, we notice at least three tables around us are being served brunch cocktails and it was at least another 15 minutes until noon. This lack of consistency in honoring the brunch menu definitely soured our celebratory meal a bit. I guess to be on the safe side, I would make a noon reservation next time to fully enjoy the brunch experience. read more

Came here for pre fixe brunch! Loads of options to pick during brunch. They have 5-6 different kinds of Benedicts too. You get an entree and two drinks - Bellini, mimosa, or Bloody Mary. You can also mix and match so I tried one Bellini and mimosa - pretty good! I got the haven burger - it was perfect. Quality meat, seasoning was great, and cooked well. Views are the best! First time here and had a nice experience. I went through a lot of reviews and was a little skeptical as there were some poor ones there. Let me say we had a very nice experience and I would come back. Beautiful views of the Hudson, nice landscaping, very clean, modern sleek look. The bathrooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was courteous, attentive and did a good overall job. As I'm picky there were some small things to improve on although no deal breakers. They have a nice brunch menu that is fairly priced at $36 which includes 2 mimosas or Bellinis. A few of us had Bloody Marys and they were included. For appetizers we shared the Shrimp Firecracker, creamy lobster risotto croquettes, and the char grilled Wakame octopus. For the main course We ordered the South African lobster eggs Benedict which was $49 instead of $36, had the grilled Free range chicken over salad short ribs and eggs Benedict. All of the food was good although we found the eggs and chicken salad to be a little salty. For me the best part was the warm chocolate brownie which was served with white chocolate mousse, peanuts, toffee caramel swirl, Oreo and cocoa nib crumble topped with vanilla chocolate gelato. This was the highlight of my dinner. We also had the chocolate croissant bread pudding. This had vanilla sabayon and Kentucky bourbon sauce. Overall nice experience, good value and portions, would be great for the outside seating during the summer. I'm sure it's a romantic spot at nights with the views of Manhattan. Somewhere between a 3 and a 4 but there were some service hiccups that were at odds with the overall feel of the restaurant and what they're aiming for. They do a pre fixe brunch course with your choice of dish and two of mimosa, bellini or Bloody Mary - I suspect the drinks are more juice than alcohol but it didn't stop some of the tables from belting out happy birthday renditions. Just know that if you come for weekend brunch, it's going to have that sort of vibe. The volume tends to get loud, not helped by the glass windows. (Yes, the view is stunning but if you're sitting indoors, they only have a few tables right by the window. The other tables have "partial" views, which are just all right.) I liked the short rib bruschetta as a starter, while the octopus could have come off the heat maybe a minute earlier - had that rubbery texture that comes from over-cooking. Grilled shrimp salad was delicious and a generous portion, but a tad heavy on the cheese and dressing. (Totally not what I had in mind for a lighter lunch but I ate the whole thing anyway because lettuce doused in cheese and dressing ... I can't turn that down.) On to the service: our main waiter was awesome but the busboy seemed oblivious to some of the details. He brought out the starters without realizing none of us had small plates or utensils. Same thing happened with dessert - bringing out the dishes but not seeing we had anything to eat it with. Also noticed other tables getting visibly frustrated by trying to order, no one coming by to check, etc. Overall, would maybe recommend if you have a big group for an occasion but Edgewater has so many other good restaurants, not sure if this one really sticks out. read more

So we are seated at a cute table by the window where you can see the beautifully lit NYC skyline. Our server, Marco, was super accommodating as we were sooo hungry and wanted everything on the menu! We ordered a round of martinis, which were all brought to the table and poured in front of us. So here's what my girls and I ordered: Lychee martinis, Tito's Dirty Martini and White Peach Cosmos! Bread service included a multi-grained slice of bread with butter. Appetizers were (2) Crab Puppies (3 crabcake balls sitting on top of potato straws and remoulade), Carolina Wings, and Shrimp Cocktail! Entrees included the Short Rib (with potato pave (yucca) and nicely roasted veggies), Cast Iron Ribeye with an add-on South African lobster tail, 7oz Filet Mignon with add-on garlicky shrimp, and Churrasco Steak with add-on MD crab meat. Our shared sides were brussel sprouts (of course...it's me!), sautéed garlic spinach, and MD crab fried rice! We loved everything..particularly that lobster tail!!!! Everyone had a doggie bag to take home as well!. After another round, we passed on dessert because we were stuffed and heading to a hookah spot (with food) after! Marco did bring out a complimentary scoop of vanilla ice cream with a decorative HB chocolate and candle, which capped off the dinner!!
