This is a Gluten Free bakery and coffee shop. If you think about it, this may be the healthiest type of diet, especially for individuals who have trouble digesting gluten. Pastries are available and I ordered the sticky bun with walnuts. Gina behind the counter asked me if I wanted it warmed, and I said, "Yes, please!" It was delicious. I was very grateful for her suggestion. The coffee was made with freshly ground beans when I ordered it and served nice and hot. I looked at the items for sale which included, freshly baked loaves of bread and bagels, sandwiches and frozen foods. There is quite a variety of items available. I shall plan to return for something else yummy.

    Gluten free vegan flax bread!!

OMGoodness the best gluten free vegan chocolate donuts with whipped filling. They are better than those places in LA. Amazing, delicious and fresh! Best vegan gluten free brownies too. Nice customer service as well. Pricey but worth it. Their gluten free vegan flax bread is the best as well. Very scrumptious yet with some health benefits! Flax, millet and psyllium in the bread is helpful for my digestive system not to mention it tastes great. Soft and doughy unlike most gluten free products!!

Anytime we fly out of Reno, we always stop here for lunch. It's one of our favorite's -- especially because it's gluten-free and our options are usually limited in that regard.

Haven is my go to when I need something Gluten-Free. I love to grab the sandwich bread or even a gluten free pastry. My favorite so far has been the Chicken Pesto on Rosemary Bread. I highly recommend it. The service is always super fast when I go in on a Saturday and it is always so nice and quiet.

    They have jam too!

It's the only brick & mortar gf bakery in town, which inherently makes it the best. However, in recent months I have seen this business really come into its own with the coffee place gone and the front of the building rebuilt after a car smashed through it... it's really feeling like a nice place to have a meal as well as grab some baked goods for home. Their bread is decent and soft, the sweet treats are good and they have a decent deli type menu. The ambiance is improving and I hope the good vibes continue!

How have I lived in South Reno for almost two years and not been here. I'm not even gluten free (yet) and this place is incredible. Everything made in house with many dairy free options too. I was excited about so much! I've got a sweet tooth and I WILL eventually try all of these desserts for sure. We had the cookie bar and chocolate bombs. Oh. My. GOSH! The cookie bar had clusters of chocolate chip cookies /dough with this AMAZING rich vanilla cream cheese frosting. I didn't think it could get much better until I tried my kids chocolate bomb. Holy SMOKES. It had a mound of chocolate ganache and boy was it smooth and rich. Staff was helpful and told us they have been around a while when I asked. I really wanted to ask if the business was doing well in hopes they will be around a while since I just found out. I really hope so! I loved that I could get my car smogged, drop donation stuff off, get pizza and then get this desert all in the same strip mall. :). We literally did all those things!

Ordered a chicken salad sandwich on focaccia bread. I ordered sun dried tomato focaccia, but then the worker told me they were actually out. This was disappointing to hear as I came on Thursday at 9 AM, so I assumed they would be stocked for the day ahead. I opted for the rosemary instead. The worker gave me a free cookie for the issue, but it was super hard... The chicken salad sandwich was standard. It featured apples and paired with provolone.

This place is a total gem for gluten-free folks (like my wife) AND for those of us who just love great food! Their Pecan Bar? Forget about it! I'm not even kidding when I say I couldn't believe it was gluten-free. Seriously, it was THAT good. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the bakery always smells incredible. It's such a cozy spot to grab a treat. If you're looking for a gluten-free bakery that doesn't sacrifice flavor, Haven on Earth is your spot!

It was not busy this morning when I stopped in for a little treat. I chose a lemon bar and a snickerdoodle. The lemon bar was good, I had to dust off the excess powdered sugar on top. The snickerdoodle was absolutely amazing!

    Turkey pesto panini

Asked for a turkey pesto panini on a Parmesan focaccia bread. As I already ordered and was waiting for my order, she came up to me and said they were out of turkey so I said bacon was fine. When I went to eat my sandwich the only thing in it was bacon bites. No pesto, no lettuce, nothing. The bread was also just plain focaccia. If they were out of everything I would've ordered something else idk why she didn't just tell me that. Disappointed since I spent $12 on a tiny bread and bacon sandwich

    Gluten-free doughnuts

Sadly the pizza was terrible, sauce was bland and crust was more like bread than crust. We wanted to love this place as my husband has celiac. However, we won't be going back. The doughnuts were good, but more like cake with frosting. Sadly, we bought two doughnuts for $5 and they were placed n a tiny bag on top of each other, so the frosting was a mess. The doughnuts were stuck together at $2.50 each, at least bag them in a container that is suitable or individually. We bought a pot pie as well and are skeptical to even bother cooking it. The pizza went into the trash. My husband said "it's the worst pizza I've ever had." Unfortunately, it was more like tomato paste on bad gluten-free bread. The white cake-like doughnut with chocolate frosting was very good. I think we"ll stick with BJ's gluten free pizza! Too bad as we love supporting local businesses, but this is a miss.

9/18/23 Pesto and Turkey Panini (half)

We go to Rising for the People Coffee for our coffee treats; missed you today Sky. And as usual, we forgot to use our Yelp check-in discount!! My wife went to Haven with her friends today, and brought me back half her sandwich. She wanted to introduce her friends to these two businesses. Cut and pasted from Haven on Earth's website: "Our goal is to create products with uncompromised taste and make them available to the gluten free community." "Gluten free means without wheat, barley, and rye." Quality/Quantity - My wife got and brought home half of her Pesto & Turkey Panini. It was okay, but I would have preferred some lettuce and fresh tomatoes. And of course, a little more meat would not have hurt. Her friends got the following: Quiche and a different Panini sandwich. She said everyone was happy with their order. Other options available are: salads, baked goods, some grocery choices, drinks, etc. Of course, and a flight of coffee from Rising for the People. Most people order to-go from these two businesses. Never more than two tables of people; my wife being one of the two tables. Atmosphere - Small local business. Plenty of parking in this strip mall. Indoor or outdoor seating. Single unisex bathroom. Open 6 days a week from 8:30am to 4pm. Closed Sundays, I believe the owner's husband is a pastor at a local church. Service - Excellent, as my wife and her friends stayed here for a few hours. Price - $10 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2010 or longer...? Looking forward to trying more baked goods.

It wasn't extremely busy, and they checked in on our table multiple times. It felt intentional and full of care. Now let's get into the food!! I got the beef Bulgogi bowl on glass noodles. It normally comes on rice, but I saw another Yelp review get the noodles and I was not disappointed! The flavor was crazy good! I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu. The porky ribs have potential but It was too lightly drizzled when it needed to be drowned in that sweet and tangy sauce. It was also cooked rather dry on the exterior but the interior was nicely juicy and tender. The bulgogi bowl was actually spicy pork instead of beef. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. The tofu soup was solid. It hit all the right spots and was comfort food personified. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Overall, I am sure there are other items that might hit the spot and I would love to return and try a selection of entrees another time. Service was definitely top notch, Harry was the absolute best!

Centered around the productive Plymouth Consolidated Mine, it became a key hub for quartz mining, later evolving into the "Gateway to the Shenandoah Valley" for its renowned wine region. Taste is in the heart of downtown. With two menus and seating areas (the dining room or bar) you must order off the menu where you sit (no cross ordering which is great). Sit at the bar for the bar menu or sit in the dining room for a fixed price menu only but with fantastic choices and you can even get multiple section dishes which they scale down the generous size of a single dish so you can try more food (genius strategy). We were celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary and we went all out like I hit the lottery (don't we all wish?). I started out with the caviar service which came with these incredible potato cakes rather than the usual mini Bellinis. Then we had oysters on the half shell, perfectly shucked, clean and no grit. Nothing ruins an oyster experience like a grit of shell or sand. None of that here! My photos show the entire meal which rivaled many restaurants I have been to in San Francisco. This is a Michelin level dinner but at a reasonable price considering the portions (LARGE) unlike The French Laundry where you get 80% less food for 75% higher prices. This is a place not to miss and is now my #1 pick for January 2026 for a high end quality meal with white glove service in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. I will be returning to check the bar menu which has completely different food. The menu will change so what I listed might not be on the menu but the Mushroom Cigars have always been on the menu for years. It clearly is a crowd pleaser and there is nothing here to critique other than you want to just keep eating! 5 Stars 1 Michelin Star (needs to be awarded here in my book!)

It also had apples in it, which made it sort of a mix of a bear claw apple fritter, but was tasty all the same. We also got one of the blueberry cheese danishes that was very good as well and the morning bun -- this was a good size cinnamon roll sugared treat that was so soft and amazing!
