Love haven nail spa, they always do a fantastic job on my nails and toes as well as my mom's. We are always there every 2-2.5 weeks getting our nails done. They do a great job, great colors, etc. Wish they had more OPI polish for toes to choose from, and they don't offer me drinks anymore when I come in, I have to ask. But they are nice and clean and play fun music and convenient while we are living in Prosper (we are building a home in Frisco) so I wonder if I will still drive out here for nails when our house is finished next year. Either way, they are great. I got to Tom for nails and usually Vincent for toes-both great, but John & Paul are good too. Those are the only people I have tried, but I am sure everyone is good! So I walked in for a regular pedi and mani, they sat me down right away and told me someone would be with me in a few minutes. Two customers walking in , a dad and his kid. Now , I am not sure if it is because of my ethnicity or because they were males and I am female but these two Asian ladies got out and start helping them right away. I asked if they had an appointment they told me no . I told them that was not right I was there first and one of they should start doing my nails. I desperately needed gel taken off my nails and I remembered that I read a couple of positive reviews on this place. It's super close to home so I thought I would give it a go. As a walk-in customer, I waited maybe 1 minute before they guided me to a manicure chair. The salon feels on the older side to me and it's certainly not fancy inside all. It does have several pedicure and manicure chairs so I don't think waiting would ever be a problem and they offer loads of polish color choices. The place isn't dirty by any means, just not all glorified up. But I do like that it's a local type place - so I'll take it. I wasn't offered anything to drink which is fine because I did bring a bottle of water - but still I always find its nice gesture. All of the employees were friendly, nice and spoke decent English. The woman who removed my gel took her time and did her best to not damage my nails - I so appreciated that. She did a decent job and was very gentle. I opted for a deluxe manicure with paraffin and it was fine - nothing over the top. I wouldn't get the paraffin again as the wax was just lukewarm and not ultra-silky feeling. The manicure itself was okay, but I don't think she did a great job on the polish. I took a closer look when I got home and she didn't bring the color all the way to the side of the nail on some nails. If you don't look close, it looks fine ;) The price was on the cheap; $22 for gel removal and deluxe manicure (paraffin included) and the gal who worked on me did a great job with removing the gel so I may return when I need the gel taken off but not sure I'd call this place my "go-to" spot for regular maintenance. read more

I was so glad to be able to have found this place because not only were they able to do nails designs, but they were excited to! I really like this place because every time I go in and I have a new complicated nail design and they are able to execute it perfectly! I actually went to this saloon because it was recommended to me.... I do NOT recommend going. It is such a hole in the wall (in not a good way). I almost walked out as soon as I stepped in. I decided to give it a try anyway since it was recommended to me. I got the nexgen (dip) nails and the lady did not even do any base coat. She only did the dip color, so as a result they were extremely thin and only lasted 6 DAYS before they chipped. It's been 2 weeks now and 5/10 have chipped. She also cut me 3 times while she was doing my nails and one continued bleeding even after I left. Safe to say I will not be going back. read more

very happy with my experience here! i walked in and was able to be helped right away, a lady named Snow did my nails and she was i think the best nail tech ive been to. she was gentle with removing the nexgen i already had on (which i appreciate because most people are too quick and rough with removing and end up damaging my nails or making them too thin) and it was much more enjoyable not having to worry about my nails being filed too thin. I am new in the area so I needed to find a nail salon. Luckily, I found my person at Haven Salon today. He said he was going to do dip nails and I was skeptical but my nails look fabulous. I have had acrylic nails for 20+ years, and I have been a nail tech myself so I know what I like. My nails are perfect and do not have any of the issues that would normally irritate me. The cuticle area is so smooth - along with the rest of my nails. They are even length and evenly shaped in the coffin shape. This is my first time trying the coffin shape, or nails this long and dark. But I was feeling adventurous today and Haven nails did not disappoint! I also got a pedicure at the same time, which is absolutely wonderful!!! My previous salon in Utah did the services separately every single time! I was out in half the time, that is so so so nice. To me a pedicure is heaven but then getting my nails done after that seems like a chore. I guess I get restless. So to have it done at the same time, and done beautifully?!?! Friendly, efficient and skill behind that door is what you will find. I will continue to come here as long as Hannah is here. Great local nail salon! All of their employees are extremely friendly and can hold a conversation with you, which I happen to love. From what I can tell, they do a good job of sanitzing and always using clean implements...no foot fungus here! I've been here probably 20 or so times, and my manis/pedis have always been consistently good. I will warn you that they are good at upselling! Be prepared to end up getting more than you planned on getting. ;) Then again, I'm just bad at saying no... Either way - it's worth the extra cost of getting the upgrades they're selling. I love that they are local, friendly and have great customer service! I really wanted to like this salon because there are few choices in in North Celina area. I have to say this,place was the filthiest place I have ever been to. The station I was assigned to was literally black with filth and the equipment they used was just simply gross. Because the technician, who was either talking on the phone or getting up without explanation for long periods of time and leaving me to my own devices I actually started taking pictures of the filth and grime because I didn't think anyone would believe me as to how nasty it actually was. The brush the woman was using to clean off my hands was literally caked with Lord only knows what. They. Definitely did not clean the equipment between customers. I will say there were people in there who were obvious regulars who really liked their technician. I'm not a crazy person and I'm not a snob. I think I've only ever made 3-4 online reviews in my life but I just can't shake how dirty this place was and don't understand how they can operate like that. I would have said something but no one bothered to talk to me during the appointment. I swear I came in with a pleasant attitude was polite and did have an appointment. I wanted to leave several times and just ran out when my nails were dry. I actually had an appointment for a pedicure also but they never asked me about it and so I just left. I was relieved and probably would have made an excuse to not get the pedicure . This place needs a good scrub down and decontamination. I would never go back. What a shame! read more

Actually upset we have to give any star for review, this should be negative stars! This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. After starting manicure by saying "please do not cut any length from my nails, I broke two and am working at growing them out" the worker (tech implies they had any education) proceeded to pick up a very dirty cuticle scissor and cut my nails. She had 3 done before my mouth could speak. It only got worse. She had all different shapes, actually shocked how someone could do that. The selection of NEX-gen was poor but she gave her own color by using another dirty item being a brush with red obviously on it so that my pastel color was changed. Filing done would have been better if a child tried. Then I asked for matte not shiny. After numerous restatements of what I wanted she left to return with gel polish and a uv light. Seriously thought I was in a twilight zone. Asked her again for matte and she shows me gel bottle which said matte. There is NO training at this salon or they would know to not do this. I left as is immediately and will never go back. Do not go there or let anyone go there unless you want dirty, non sterilized equipment, incompetent workers and a good cry. read more

NOT clean, NOT professional! The instruments they used on us didn't come out of a sealed, autoclaved bag, but instead were lying loose in filthy, portable plastic totes that the workers used at each station. The nail file used on my toes was almost completely worn down and covered in dozens of different colored polish. I cringed thinking how many other people's toes were filed with the same nail file. Also, the towels she laid down under my feet on the pedicure chair looked like they'd already been used! Then, while my nails were drying as I sat in the pedicure chair, she washed out the basin underneath me with cleaner and a dirty sponge, splattering my legs and clothes with cleaner. I noticed another technician used a squirt bottle to clean out the foot basin in the chair next to me. Shouldn't the salon have 1 required way to clean the basins? And shouldn't it be done after the customer leaves, not while we are still sitting in the chairs? Maybe we picked a day when the manager was out, or maybe they just don't care, but there was a complete lack of professionalism. A barefoot technician lounged in a chair, and played games on her phone the whole time we were there. The phone was loud and she kept laughing at something she was looking at on it. It really wrecked any kind of mood for relaxation. She reluctantly got up to take a customer as we were walking out the door almost an hour later. Even worse, when a customer came in for a manicure, she was directed to see the technician who was ALREADY working on my pedicure. She left me to "soak" long enough for my water to get cold, so she could do this woman's manicure. It was ridiculous! Especially, when the lounging, barefoot technician could've helped the new customer. When the technician finally came back to me, I inquired about why I was left so long. She said it was because I picked the Haven Pedicure and she wanted me to soak with the treatment on my feet. In other salons, if you're receiving a treatment, they have you take your feet out of the water, apply the cream, then wrap in warm towels while proceeding with a leg massage. They don't abandon you with your feet stuck in cool water. I can't believe how this place has any positive reviews. Maybe we saw them on a bad day, or maybe the manager was out, but either way we definitely won't be going back. I recommend going elsewhere. read more

I have been going here since they opened and I recommend it to everyone who compliments my nails and lashes. They are very clean and use disposable bags for the foot baths. Are much more organized in everything and up to date. They offer you a drink and have tv's to watch.
