Kevin, the owner, really sets the tone. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the clients and his team, and it shows in the overall experience. Honestly, I'd love to gatekeep this place... but it's just too good not to share. You really can't go wrong here.

My pedicure was basic hardly any lotion used and the mud mask I asked for, I don't even know if it even happened... My manicure was also nonexistent except they did clean my cuticles and removed the acrylic. My nails underneath were the same length as the acrylic and I wanted to add gel to my nails only. They are NOT thin, I prepped to go natural and this was not it! I did have one that was short cause it broke and one that she messed up with the electrical file when removing the acrylic. The lady that did my nails seemed like she did not want to be there. I ended up asking for a matte finish... this is what my nails ended up looking like. Misshapen, bumpy and the matte finish not applied evenly to where it covered the whole nail. I didn't say anything I paid and left because my daughter had a great experience BUT I will NOT come back! And would NOT recommend.

I ALWAYS call salons and ask about pricing prior to going in because I want to make sure there is no confusion at the end when I pay. I called earlier this morning and asked how much a basic pedi was with 2 acrylic big toes and was told $35 for the pedi and $5 for each toe. That's $45 dollars! I proceeded to head to the salon and when I walked in I was barely greeted, I picked out my colors and sat down. The nail tech was extremely quiet never said hello, and started speaking in her language to another worked and she looked back and stared at me. I'm 9 months pregnant about to give be birth any day now! I obviously do not speak their language, but anyone can read body language. It was clear they were talking rudely about me. I felt really uncomfortable from there on out. The tech then did a half assed pedicure (which I was expecting based on her horrible attitude). After I waited for my toes to dry I went to the register to pay, and the lady checking me out tried to charge me $50! An extra $5 more........... I had to mention that I called prior and was told it would be $45, she then says "oh you called earlier" as if she was shocked she couldn't pull that bs on me. She then changed the price back to $45 but I was still pissed, they tried to hustle me out of more money and of course we're expecting a tip which they damn sure didn't get! I paid and left, never coming back and highly suggest nobody else come here either. They do janky business!

If you're looking for the right place to get your brows, face, and all other body parts waxed (and lash and brow tinting)...no more scrolling, you found it. This location is especially convenient if you're in Celina, McKinney, Prosper, Little Elm, Weston, Melissa, etc. This is their third location in the Metroplex. This one has a cool, laid-back vibe owing to the home-like building it's in as well as the general geographic location. Waxing is all PLW does. I personally come for the brazilians, brow shaping/waxing, and facial waxing; however, they also do lash and brow tinting, bikini waxes, full body waxing, and sugaring. They're easy on your wallet and no tipping allowed! And...they don't do memberships! (Can I get a hallelujah...) The aestheticians are all good, though Miranda is my "person." I've been going to her for seven years -- she's truly great at her craft. (I did see a couple other aestheticians when she was on maternity leave which is how I know they're good.) She's all about skin care and even turned me onto a great facial skin care line that she uses (which I still use!). Also -- you can conveniently book appointments either onsite, over the phone, or online. If you're looking for the best waxing experience at affordable prices with great people, Peace Love Wax is it.

Here is the reason I give it 3 stars: Unfortunately, I requested highlights on my super short hair. They want to charge me $250. I feel that they want to take advantage of me. And it looks like each stylist is free to charge whatever they like. Sheri Salon takes pride on their good prices. So if they are proud of their good, or fair pricing, $250 for very short hair highlights is excessive. As far as the haircut goes, it looks like she did a good job and I am getting compliments. But I cannot forgive her for wanting to charge me $250 to highlight my hair. The story does not end here. Prices are inconsistent at this place. One stylist said she would charge $45 for the haircut that I got. But I ended up with another stylist who did the job. She charged me $60. It was a precision haircut, so I paid the $60. Another client would have made a scene. These people need to set their prices straight. No games, no fooling around, and no extreme overcharging. I also feel uncomfortable when a stylist speaks to another stylist while they are working. My stylist was talking to another stylist two chairs away. This is never a good vibe. Stylists should only talk to their clients and concentrate on their job. This is no easy task and requires 100% concentration and dedication. Employee social time should not take place during work hours with the public. Everyone is nice and cordial int his place, but like I said before, it's business.
