I stopped in because last year I bought "witchy woman" beanie, and wanted something new and cute for the fall. I had my eye on bookish advent calendar. Unfortunately, the owner circled me like an eagle for my duration at the store, then stood at the entrance just staring at me. I have no idea what it is that I did to cause this reaction. I've been to the store plenty of times before and had positive experience. I also visit and know many vintage vendors in the area. The whole experience just didn't sit well with me. I decided to not purchase anything because this type of behavior shouldn't be supported. It was uncalled for and unpleasant. I won't be returning. CS Folk (formerly BB Folk) calls itself a general store. General store means that you'll find all kinds of goodies here - home decor, trendy clothing, food items, and accessories. The store is in the stretch of Ohio City that's known for its vintage and thrift stores. Go to this store especially when you want unique gifts. INVENTORY: The store's inventory includes lots of cool clothing merchandise from local makers. For instance, I found a very fitting "witchy woman" hat at this store. Other merchandise that always gets me excited see home decor and wall art. There is an expansive shelf with refined decor. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the uniqueness. SERVICE: I found all staff to be very chatty and friendly. Always welcoming atmosphere. PARKING: Find street parking along Lorain Avenue and in the surrounding streets. It never tends to be busy in the area. EVENTS: The store collaborates with its neighbors - Table for 2, Recreational Pots and Plants for sidewalk markets. They're always fun and involved plenty of local makers. I highly recommend visiting the next market. I always love wandering into this store and tend to gravitate toward beanies and clothing. I hope to drop in again next weekend to treat myself.

This global inspired boutique carries bohemian wares and accessories and you can fall down a rabbit hole pretty quickly of looking at beautiful things. I don't pay much mind to the clothes (the sizes are all pretty small), but I love all the gifts they carry. I purchased a beautiful handmade dreamcatcher from a women's collective in New Mexico, a vibrant scarf with foxes on it and a goddess inspired art print for a friend. Her mother was a designer and had lots of beautiful upholstery fabrics. Using these remnants she made a simple purse that a friend loved. She made a few more and sold them. November and December of 2021 she opened a storefront in her hometown of Chagrin Falls. The people purchased her purses. Now, she has a shop across from Triangle Park and carries products from local artists, all made in the U.S.A. Virginia has venture out into making leather purses, too. She includes a few clothing items from outside the area. Her purses are fine quality with beautiful inside fabrics. You can choose a sling strap also made from remnants. Next time you are walking the Village or making Chagrin Falls, Ohio, a destination, stop in.

There was only one other person in the store when I arrived who was actually leaving so I had the store to myself while I was there. The store has a nice collection of handbags (big and small) with accessories ranging in price from $100-$450. All handbags appear to be made of good quality leather. While I didn't buy anything, I enjoyed my time browsing the store. Customer service was nice as I was greeted when I walked in. I hope to come back again to look at their limited stationery section because I like stationery (notebooks, etc). The 2 ladies who run the store are knowledgeable about the uniform requirements for the area schools, which can be very diverse depending on the grade of your child, etc. The quality of the items has never been an issue, allowing me to give the clothes to others after a couple of years. They are always very helpful and friendly and the prices are certainly competitive. To me, this business exemplifies the concept of why we should "buy local".
