Rosalie helped me find the exact pieces I needed, and I gave her the measurements (10sq feet of travertine, 2 pieces with bullnose, and 12 brick flats) per our contractor. I paid the $745 and I showed her a picture of the project. She told me I could bring back any unused items and there would be a "small restocking fee". I drove around to the back lot and a couple guys loaded up the back of my car. I mentioned to them that it seemed like a lot of tile for such a small project, and they reassured me, "it's better to have too much than not enough, and just bring back what isn't needed." A few days later our contractor completed the project and commented that we had a lot of travertine & brick left over. I told him I would return it to the stone store for a refund. Today, 9/15/25 I made the 30min drive to the store to return the materials. I was met by Esthela who informed me there was a restocking fee of 25%!! AND that since the box of brick flats were opened, they would be unable to be returned. I informed her of what I was told when I bought everything last week. Her response was "oh well, that's our policy" and asked me to drive around to the lot to return the items. There an employee met me to empty the back of my car and commented "wow, that's a lot for you to return". I told him I felt like I was scammed because I obviously didn't need that much for our little project and now I'm paying a huge restocking fee to return it. He encouraged me to return to the front office to make sure the refund went back on my credit card. I met Esthela again, to confirm my return. She punched in some numbers on her calculator and stated I was to receive $95 back on my card! (Returning 7 pieces of 24x24" travertine @$44 each, 1 bullnose 2" x 12" x 24") should've been much more than $95 back! I questioned that and she finally called over Rosalie, who just arrived for work. Together they figured out the math equation and credited my card for the appropriate amount, less 25% restocking fee. Still feeling like I was scammed I asked to talk to Rosalie. She remembered me from waiting on me last week. However, all of a sudden, she was blaming the contractor for giving me the wrong measurements (which wasn't true), she did the calculations based off of what info our contractor supplied me with. I reminded her of how I commented that the amount seemed to be too much- and she said "bring back what you don't use". Nothing was mentioned about the box of bricks- and she knew I only needed 12 brick flats. Her final comment to me, as she turned her back to walk away from me, was that it's not her "job to do calculations for customers". This IS a stone supplier- their specialty- certainly not in my wheelbox. If this isn't their job to make sure the customer is happy with the products, and provides the correct amounts of products, then whose job is it? I'm giving ONE star for the actual tiles- they're very pretty & match the area perfectly- but as far as customer service and satisfaction goes- negative 4 stars. I will not return to this store in the future, and I certainly hope buyer beware- you'll buy far more than you'll need, then get hit by a huge restocking fee! Scam alert.

Additionally, the slab she sold is she said she would "go mark as sold." When we came back at the end of the week it was still for sale and they started cutting a different one - and then never delivered and after I took two days off work and flew to PHX - all she could do was refund the cost of the slab. So very, very unethical!

I understood estimates for contracting this job ranged from $350 to $600. Instead, I went to Anasazi Sand and Rock. Their manager (Karl) pointed me to a selection of Arizona Flagstone. They estimated the cost, loaded 150 pounds of Ledgestone rocks into my car and charged me $62.60! I placed the flagstone and the little garden looks beautiful. This was a $63 Job, but they treated me like a $10,000 client. They were wonderful. They gave me advice, estimated how much I needed, walked me around their yard to look at choices, loaded the rocks in my car, and invited me back if I needed more.

I immediately called the store and reported the missing items. I was told the parts would be ordered and someone would get back to me.
