We purchased our tickets online in advance, and got to the site pretty easily. We got on line and read the posted rules before walking into the attraction. The attraction itself is pretty creative, with a few things I haven't seen in other haunted houses. But the quitter counter, which displayed the number of guests who quit in fear, made it seem scarier than it actually was. It was honestly a bit too dark in there to see the costumes/makeup of the actors. The majority of the scares were jump scares.

I have been to a couple of haunted houses and this one takes first place and there is no close second!!! You will get SCARED... regardless to how old/mature you are!!! My boyfriend and I got VIP tickets, and while waiting on the line to check-in, we saw people quitting within like 15 seconds of entering!! The check in process was quick, especially if you have the VIP tickets... I would suggest getting VIP tickets over general admission. This place gets packed, and I could only imagine how it will be as it gets closer to Halloween. This is THE PLACE TO VISIT to get your Halloween festivities started! I do not want to give anything away, but it is interactive; you have to crawl in the dark and do other fun things! I was literally screaming and closing my eyes throughout different parts of the haunted house! MY BOYFRIEND AND I MADE IT!!! ** Some of these negative reviews must be rivals; nobody pulled our hair or spit on us. The only downside was an airhead working where you check-in your bags. LOL.

You can either purchase tickets online or right at the place. The basic tickets were $60 each. However, the closer you get to Halloween, the ticket prices go up. Upon entry to the Brighton Asylum, there are several people outside, directing you to parking. We went through 3 very cool and fun haunted houses. Actors are dressed in scary costumes. They try to scare you, but will direct you through the haunted house. Visibility can be a little tricky in some areas of the houses. The house has several exits, in case you've "just had enough". It took approximately 1 1/2 hours for the entire visit. Just some cautions for those who have any type of limitations. In one house, there's at least two tunnels you really have to "bend over" and walk through at least 10 to 12 steps. In another house, there's at least three long flights of steps to climb up and down. The facility does have some extras like ax throwing and an escape room which will cost extra money. Definitely recommend the Brighton Asylum for a fun evening! The Brighton Asylum is located at 2 Brighton Rd. off of Van Houten Ave. in the back area. A gift shop is available with Brighton Asylum Tee Shirts. Porta John's are available on the premises.

I recommend getting the fast pass because the wait can be long especially closer to Halloween. They also had a Horror film museum with replicas of the outfits worn in the movies. Everyone we encountered who worked there was so nice. Inside Fear Manor was fantastic! So spooky and fun! Lots of jump scares and unexpected things around corners. A creepy girl follows you all the way through which adds to the experience. They also have a very cool swamp effect in one of the rooms that you have to see. It's hard to even explain. You wander from room to room and every one of them is scary and great. The actors are terrific. They even respond to things you say and always stay in character. We didn't have to wait in line very long but even that was enjoyable because there is a creepy DJ playing great music that really sets the mood. An actor even showed up there on a gurney just staring at us while we waited. It was great. All in all we had a wonderful time and will definitely do it again before they close!
