Another fabulous year enjoying the Clearwater Festival! Arrived with some friends around 3pm on…read moreSaturday and took the shuttle from the train station which was a lot less painless than I expected. Checking in to get our tickets was just as fast. We each had two smoothies a person bc they were slamming over at the food truck area. Enjoyed the music, the vendors, talking to activists, getting some cool henna and just being one with nature and folksy people in the warm sun. I'll be back next year Pete :)

Sorry, just my opinion... I think the Board of officers or…read morecommittee members for the festival can do better with the festival in the years to come? The cost wasn't an issue, but maybe put the parking fee and ticket price together? It'll save from having a long line of patrons sitting in their cars waiting, and waiting to get to a parking space. Also, place arrows along the road so the line of cars will know where to go. Why do the vendor only accept credit cards? I came with a pocket of cash ready and willing to buy things. Which, quite frankly, the vendors yesterday s...ked... Need to offer everything and anything for sale. Is there a reason why wineries or distillers weren't there selling? If politicians aren't allowed to participate, then keep the music performers from singing or talking politics? Why is the festival so Liberal? Is it because that was how Pete use to be? (bad idea! You need to cater to everyone!) Maybe have some raffles? Lastly, have more gates at the perimeter for coming or going. Or do a members drive to get more helpers?

The artwork on the pumpkins are amazing and have plenty of pop culture references. I love the projections and music that elevate the experience.

Our tickets were for the 9:30pm and we arrived about 15 mins late, the sign said 9:30 admission is now admitting and we walked in with no lines. No flash, no selfie sticks and no tripod. It was kind empty with only handful of people wandering around so at first it was kind spooky and dark. Because it's so empty we got to keep all to ourselves and took our tim. Plenty workers around, one even told us that we can touch those pumpkins near the standing line to feel the texture of the surface or the deep or shallow the carve. When we got out, all the booths outside were closed. We still managed to take photos of the pumpkin heads in the tank. (My favorite!) it made me think of the scene in Walking Dead We were the last group walked out and the gate closed behind us. Parking: Free, you can actually park anywhere at the Santa Anita Mall and walk. For $18 (Groupon), $20.25 (Goldstar) and $28 (regular admission $26 online w $2 fee). I think its a good place for a date or hang out but would be too expensive and not worth it for families w kids.

Tickets can also be protected in advance with assigned seating. I won't bother reviewing prices because this is a movie theater. You know... They offer snacks, hot food, fountain drinks, beer, wine and of course, popcorn. Stubs members get a single free refill on popcorn and soda. The theater seats are spacious and comfy except for the seating on the floor level being rather useless. All seats have power and recline...when they work. During my recent visit, all 4 of our seats did not function/recline. Disappointing when you're paying a premium for the experience. I stopped at the customer service desk after the movie, told someone that happened and assumed I'd get a basic credit towards a future showing. Nope - the employee told me that I "should've come out and told them". Yeah, sure. The movie was starting and I doubt they'd pause the show to get an engineer to fix our seats...even if it might have been a simple solution. There are times where I've stood by the customer service counter and waited ten minutes or more for service. A simple compensation after the movie would've kept us satisfied. Poor customer service.

This is a film made for the big screen - not at home. The IMAX film has excellent visual effects and outstanding surround sound. However, at 2 hours & 30 minutes the film a little bit too long. They could have trimmed it to 90 minutes - a bit boring slow middle, but a great beginning and fabulous ending. Plus, a there's a wonderful heartwarming story-line message throughout. Seating at the AMC cinema was very relaxing with comfortable recliner leather seating. Cinema is kept clean and up to date. Delicious hot popped popcorn. Perfect day for a movie. We rarely go to cinemas these days with so many streaming services, but AMC Palisades is worth the trip! Thank you!

She is taking 14 classes a week and never complains about going to the studio. This studio is like a second home for her. Mrs. Logrea is still the heart and sole of the studio and continues to set the bar high for her students. Nick Logrea is always present and always makes time to talk things out and ease any concerns I have. Mr. Logrea is still teaching ballet classes and is one of my daughter's favorite teachers (He truly cares about hos students and always has a smile on his face when he walks into the studio). All of the teachers at this studio, especially Ms. Rebecca, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Jane, Mr. Billy, Mr. David, and Mr. Josh are all amazing and have helped my daughter grow so much this year! The training at this studio is unmatched. The Spring Concert, the Gala, the Cabaret, and of course Ms. Logrea's Nutcracker are all so amazing! I have no regrets about joining this studio and Dance family:)

NOT I watched a family member slowly lose confidence after attending this 'academy' and I could not urge more, to really pay attention to your child's behavior if they are a part of this school. The place is freezing, and on one of the worse street corners, accompanied by maybe TWO parking spots. The others are clearly and boldly marked for other businesses, or the Logreas themselves; and otherwise they will tow you. I witnessed many younger children just sitting around while some select few were given the most attention inside; the cramped inside space it was as well. If you were not 98 pounds and the lightest on your feet, forget having a chance. Logrea is queen at playing favorites. I applaud talent, but come on, recognize the other talent around you!!! Some girls were not allowed to graduate to point, one of the most rewarding and exciting times a young dancer can experience, when they are ready; unless you are of course, Too Fat. And by standards of fat, they mean an 8 yr old weighing 62 pounds and at a decent height. I know you need to have 'strong ankles' but it was often ironic that the girls that didn't graduate were the ones that weren't shelling out the $$$$ for 4-5 classes a week. To start the body consciousness, and loss of self esteem at such a young age is deplorable. I'm not saying that Logrea doesn't turn out great dancers, because they can and do; but it is rare when they teach and show all their students with respect. Maybe things have changed over the years for the better, and I truly hope so for the sake of all the dancers.
