When I did our tour, I received replies and confirmations immediately. Upon arriving, you are greeted by the farm owners/tour guides, Steve and Leda. They are both knowledgeable, cordial, funny, and the entire tour was educational, fun, and wonderful. Aside from alpacas, you'll also be introduced to their horses and donkeys. After the tour, we went through their gift shop, which had everything alpaca. From socks, to hats, and even ribbons of their award winning alpacas. As the pictures and videos will show, I highly recommend this tour and know that you will be thoroughly impressed.

It's a little family farm that offers farm tours for $15/person which you need to arrange beforehand. Leda and Steve, who run the farm, are the absolute nicest and you can tell they really love and care for their alpacas (as well as their two Icelandic horses). They have so much beautiful land to run around on and they're like part of the family, it seems. We were able to go into the girls pen and say hello. The alpacas are friendly and curious but don't necessarily like to be touched so they're very clear about how to approach them. After spending a good amount of time in there learning about them, we went into their farm store where they sell the yarn from the alpacas and various alpaca fleece items. It's a really fun and wholesome experience and, if you have other things to do out in that area, totally worth the time and the drive!

I had two weekend passes so I took a friend and went both days (didn't camp)…read more Parking is relatively easy-- first day I parked on site at 10 AM, still many spots left. $10. Getting out was easy. Second day parked at the Croton Metro North station, $5, took the free shuttle (which was a school bus, THROWBACK) that cost an extra ~15 minutes or so. Both were smooth! The festival itself did a great job this year in particular with a huge diverse line-up of artists. My favorite was Margaret Glaspy and River Whyless. We stayed by the Hudson stage both days because it was too picturesque not to--ambient music by the clear waters and sky. The festival isn't too big where it's overwhelming but not too small that you run out of things to do. Very very user friendly, especially since there are many senior folks at this event. By far one of the most accommodating events I have ever been to, spanning from food, waste, directions, and vision of the event.

Wow!! All I can say is Wow!…read more I don't know how many pumpkins, I don't know how many people carved them, I don't know how long it took, and frankly I don't care... The artwork that goes into this event is so over the top! It was raining on the night we came but the pumpkins were still bright and shining in the darkness. Walkways lined with pumpkins, scenes made out of pumpkins, a pumpkin circus, a pumpkin train, a pumpkin sea monster and dinosaurs!! When my 5 yo acted up, she was super calm and understanding. She even helped us perfect her piece. Saule also expedited all the pieces for us because we live out of the area and were leaving in a couple of days. If I lived in the area I'd want a membership or discount because I'd be back and there's an $8 painter's fee (which adds up!). HIGHLY recommend!!!!
