I got the opportunity to work with Kate Griffin on an organization job that I needed for my home. I…read morecontacted her one week & she scheduled our appt. for early the following week. Which was such a breath of fresh air in this very active real estate market. Being a Realtor. I know all companies that are associated with real estate are experiencing lots of volume so that was very quick considering the market. To be honest I was in such need of moving this project forward. What a wonderful blessing we got started right away! I had moved into a new home and with the exception of a desk/chair and a bed. I only brought items that fit in a box. Or went in the closet. I initially contacted Blythe so I can get a design to get some furniture etc. but I had boxes all around the parameter of my home and couldn't get to the design until we went through all the boxes and had everything organized and put away. Over the years we can accumulate so many items that are so precious. IE: just to name one category. I had been saving a variety of keep sake items from over the years that were also in cardboard boxes and felt stuck not knowing what to do with them. I didn't know where to start. When Kate arrived she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. We opened every box and went through absolutely everything. She made what looked so overwhelming a breeze. She was able to help me discern what to keep and what to purge. I had a hard time parting ways with items I hadn't used in I can't even remember the last time I had used them. I even had kept boxes from vacuums and other appliances that she kindly pointed out were taking up space that we could use to organize other items in. Apparently, I needed the permission to get rid of it. Which when I did get rid of them. It felt freeing! We sorted through all sorts of items. Anywhere, from a variety of keep sakes (my daughter trophy's, various photos, bday and holiday cards I had collected over the years), office supplies, to electronics (she helped me discern what to keep - and what to recycle - phew - so nice to know you can recycle electronics), kitchen cabinets, cleaning supplies, cleaning appliances in a closet, to paperwork that needed to be shredded and had piled up over time (which I got done), misc. bathroom items, linen closet to labeling. By the time we were done it was after 6pm and we had lot of empty cardboard boxes to recycle. Even though she had been here for 4 hours on a intense and detailed job.... with a mask on... On a hot day. She wanted to ensure she didn't leave any task for that day not completed. She offered to help me break down and take out every last box (I live on the 3rd floor) which we did. Then we scheduled an appt. for the next day so we could get some containers etc. to efficiently organize the items. Bye bye cardboard boxes. What started off as a 3 hour process. Ended up being a 9 hour job over a span of 3 days. I'm so grateful Kate was available 3 days in a row to keep the flow of the process going. I can go on and on. When you don't know where to start it's sure great to have someone who is a professional organizer help you. Kate is experienced, professional, amazing, friendly, funny, jovial and someone you will feel comfortable having in your home.

Our team was fantastic...George, Marisela, Lucas, and Kate were all wonderful to work with. We had an idea of what we wanted and the designs they came up with still blow our mind. Our house is a 1980's tract home we bought in 1993. For the 10 years prior to our remodel we hated our house. It was outdated and the flow didn't work. Our project completed in April 2019. I'm pretty sure every day since, one of us has said "I love our house." Our project included removing a wall to open our kitchen, replacing all of the indoor plumbing, replacing our windows, replacing all of our floors, gutting the kitchen, powder room, and master bathroom, redoing our bedroom closets, and interior paint. We lived through the remodel, which was an adventure, but JDR made it as tolerable as possible. We did not add any square footage, but everyone agrees our house feels bigger. I can't get over how spacious the kitchen feels now and I love the walk in pantry they added. The vendors they used for our project were all great as well. The project for the most part went very smoothly and any concerns we had were promptly addressed. We would not hesitate to recommend JDR.

It was really great to be able to see the design in CAD along the way, and Ella and Sheldon were very patient with showing us different options during our decision-making process. I loved that Nico was very trustworthy and I never felt like he was trying to take advantage of us, like some contractors will do. He was always very open and honest about the process. Of course, some things come up along the way with a project as big as ours (2-story addition plus renovating entire existing house), no matter how much planning goes in. But there were always conversations with Nico about everything and I always felt like we were treated fairly and with respect. After our project was complete, EN has always been very responsive, always coming to fix any issue. This has continued well after the project has ended. Sean did a terrific job designing the cabinet and appliance layout for our kitchen in our rental…read morehouse. Since it was going to be a rental house, we needed cabinets that wouldn't be too expensive but would last well and look good. The cabinets, which arrive on pallets in flat boxes that you or your cabinet installer assemble (and install) yourself, are very solid and quite nice, with soft-close hinges. They turned our nicer than the cabinets in our own house, so now of course my wife wants to redo our kitchen, too. We are very pleased with the cabinets, and our new tenants love them too. The assembly and installation of the cabinets is pretty tricky, so you'll want someone who is skilled and has done it before. Installing kitchen cabinets is not really for the average do-it-yourselfer, as experienced cabinet installers have several tricks to make everything fit and line up perfectly, including liberal use of shims in many locations that are not visible once the cabinets are installed. Highly recommend these guys if you're looking for good quality cabinets at a reasonable price.

Remcon, and especially our project manager Simo somehow managed to exceed our expectations. There is a lot of moving parts when dealing with a renovation, and what could potentially be the most important factor in finding the right company and PM is to find someone that invests their time and care into the project like it's their own house. Tackling through issues coming up, explaining situations on why more money is needed on a particular job , details plays a huge role for the two sides to understand why a particular solution is needed on a specific problem. There will be bumps along the way. Remcon and Simo were able to not only makes the bumps easier to cross, they educated our own knowledge about a house renovation, and led the charge in making us feel at peace along every step of the way. We hired EZ Design and build to remodel our upstairs guest bathroom, Downstairs bathroom and Bar…read more We also asked them to upgrade our electric panel to accommodate the installation of a Jacuzzi tub in the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs work consisted of the rip out of the countertop, sinks, floor tile, bath and shower and toilet. The existing cabinets were refaced with new doors and drawer. A tiled shower was built, new floor, lighting and re-fabrication of the area we decided to have a door removed from. A new quartz counter top was installed. The walls were textured and painted. We worked with Eden Tcherchi for all of our remodeling. From our very first meeting I felt confident I picked the right builder. My wife and I was amazed by her knowledge in all areas of construction. She has it all down, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and electrical. Besides those skills she is also a top notch interior designer. She took us shopping for tile, Quartz and plumbing fixtures and gave us some excellent advice and examples that made things really easy for us. Eden stays in touch through every process. She made several visits just to make sure we were happy. She monitors her work crews very well and kept us informed of any delays. Eden is very caring and passionate in her work. She will not let her team cut corners and has a very sharp eye for detail and precision. If you pick something out on your own she will ask you questions you never thought of. We decided to keep going after our beautiful upstairs guest bath was finished and asked Eden to put in new cabinets in our bar to replace a mirrored glass wall and glass shelves. They also replaced the existing cabinet doors and painted. The downstairs bath involved a rip out of the tub and counter top. Our new jacuzzi tub was installed, new showers fixtures and the walls were tiled. The counter top was replaced with quartz and the cabinets re-painted. Eventually we are going to get tired of walking around on our uneven brick patio. Eden said they could do it in pavers and make everything nice and even. EZ Design and build will always be my choice and will be who I refer. They can do it all and do it with the highest level of quality.
