Our favourite place for all you can eat sushi that is always delicious and fresh and served with a smile. Service is fast and efficient and always super friendly. The family that owns this restaurant are lovely people who know how to treat their customers very well. We have pretty much tried everything on the menu, which is huge and creative we and love everything especially their miso soup, sunomono salads, special rolls, and their prawns & veggie tempura are fantastic....not greasy and great dipping sauce. I don't recommend this place. The service is extremely slow, it took them 10 minutes to seat me down (one person) and 30 minutes for a bento box to come out. Went to this place tonight in an attempt to satisfy my sushi cravings. Ended up ordering the Bento Box C. The box contained 3 slices of sashimi (thinnest slices I've ever seen), chicken terriyaki (also thin slices), assorted tempura (2 shrimp and 2 veg), spicy tuna salad, miso soup. There was SUPPOSE to be rice but they replaced it with two pieces of deep fried imitation crab. When I asked if the box came with rice they said no and asked if i would like to order some. I was starving so I didn't pursue this issue. Ate everything but was still hungry afterwards. Ended up ordering a philidelphia roll (cream cheese, tempura pieces, salmon). The roll tasted alright but was very small. Service was bad (had to ask twice for ice water) even though the place was pretty empty. My bill came to just around $20 after tax and tip. Their special rolls looked promising but were pricey. Overall it was a mediocre experience and my advice would be to stick with the rolls. read more

I have no idea why this place has such a low rating, I had a crazy boy roll, real crab cali roll, and dynamite crunch roll. It was fair priced compared to the other places in town and the portions were great for the price. It tasted delicious and I would definitely go back. read more

waited forever for sushi go to order part of it when it some more later came back said would you like to order more we said we did not receive my order so she went back phone apps listed is this yours said no tomatoes preorder overall so she took over an hour to get our small meal between two people would not recommend this to anybody have gone there several times I was poor results every time I expected the best from this place but not good at all do not recommend do not go. My husband wanted to give Hatsuki another chance after a couple bad experiences. We try to support businesses in North Kamloops as much as possible. We had been given gift cards from an elderly relative so decided it would be a good time to try again. When we arrived, the restaurant was devoid of any customers however the table we were seated at was sticky. We were enjoying our meal, with my view being that of the sushi chef and the waitress. Just after eating our first round, I saw the chef picking his nose and rolling it in his fingers which of course turned my stomach. He also was playing with his phone. As lots of people nowadays take their phone into the washroom with them, I found this to be very disgusting. I kept an eye on the chef to see if he left to wash his hands. I cant say for sure, but I did NOT see him leave or wash his hands at the station. My meal was ruined. My husband and brother did not see it and apparently have less standards than I so they decided to order once more. When we attempted to use the gc's we were given we were told that one of them was not a gc but a promo card. They were identical but one had the stipulation that you had to order off the menu which we did not notice. We were told that we were not allowed to use it and could use it at another time. I informed the owner of the problems we had and that we would not be back. Instead of trying to make it right he laughed in my face and told me he would call the cops which prompted my husband to pull out his phone to call them himself. No business in their right mind would offer promo cards that look identical to gift cards unless they want to confuse their customers. It was very embarrassing and a total reflection of what I've come to expect from this sad sushi restaurant. Unfortunately to post my review, I must give them one very undeserving star. read more
