Elk burger and sweet potato fries
Ebuwa E.

This restaurant is the poster child for the power of aesthetics. Sadly, beautiful decor and amazing menu design cannot make up for an unappetizing meal. The elk patty was pre-pressed and most likely more buffalo than elk. The caramelized onions did not shine through; neither did the aioli. Sweet potato fries were great. No complaints about the service - Our server, Kayla was excellent!

Five star dinner last night and met the chef. Superb short ribs and grilled salmon. Excellent relaxed atmosphere and very accommodating waitress.

Ribeye, sweet potato fries, roasted carrots

Disappointing experience. Little America is always a safe and sure thing for lodging or dining. This time the entire dining experience was wrong. We arrived about an hour and a half before closing, but was ignored at the hostess area for 10 minutes. Once we were seated, we saw that there was about 8 couples at tables throughout the restaurant. After 10 minutes a surly waitress came by and asked "Whaddya wanna drink?" After iced tea and a coke were ordered, we waited fifteen minutes for those to arrive... You're wondering, "why stay?" After a 14 hour drive, we were hoping it would get better... Needless to say, both of those steaks died in vain. Mashed potatoes that could have passed for Elmer's Glue... Carrots that could've doubled as tent stakes. I asked our waitress for steak sauce. She dropped a bottle of Lea & Perrin's Worcester Sauce... Severely dissatisfied experience.

On Thanksgiving (November 23rd, 2023), I decided to drive to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to have my holiday dinner. There weren't much options in Denver. Cracker Barrel was sold out. Boston Market went out of business. I didn't want to risk a low quality meal from Applebees. McDonald's and El Pollo Loco were open, but I wanted a turkey dinner. Therefore, I decided to make a dinner reservation at the Little America Hotel the night before. I got a time for 3:30pm. I did arrive at the hotel two hours early, and let them know about my arrival. I ended up being seated at 3pm if I can take the dining lounge. I ended up preferring it since it was quieter than the main dining room. I had a small table with a padded chair. The dinner came as an all-you-can-eat buffet. For my first round, I got roasted turkey, bacon & onion stuffing, whipped mashed potatoes, green bean casserole with mushrooms, roasted acorn squash, buttered sweet potatoes with brown sugar, and turkey gravy. The turkey was cooked perfectly, and it was not dry at all. The mashed potatoes were smoothly whipped to the preference of most people. I'm weird where I like the potato skin and chunks. However, I like its creaminess. I thought the stuffing was excellent. The addition of bacon & onions blended very well. I normally don't enjoy green bean casserole very much, but this place did it very well. The green beans were fresh, cooked properly, and topped with a homemade mushroom bisque. I thought the sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed its buttered brown sugar. The roasted acorn squash was also prepared well. That's normally something I don't have for Thanksgiving. The turkey gravy also had abundant flavor and a viscous fluidity. For my second round, I got prime rib, along with a second helping of mashed potatoes, stuffing, and green bean casserole. Instead of turkey gravy, I got brown gravy. That gravy was also delicious. The prime rib was high quality and it was cooked perfectly. It came medium rare, and I was shocked that a buffet would have steak this good. All the food was similar what one would find at a gourmet steakhouse. It was pricey, costing $94 per person after tax. However, you get mimosas (champagne mixed with orange juice) and unlimited gourmet food. For my beverages, I ordered ice water, two cups of coffee, & two mimosas. I thought the service was decent for such a busy day, and the decor was excellent. If someone in Colorado doesn't want to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, come up to the Little America Hotel in Cheyenne for a great replacement to a home meal.

Worst most rubbery chicken and overcooked steak. I wouldn't stop here again, my husband is so disappointed at the low quality food for the price. Steak was way over, everything tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Unappealing.

Gina... the best bartender/waitress in the great state of Wyoming...friendly, witty, lovely, and charming. At times she would be helping 20+ people all by her little lonesome, but always kept it cool under pressure. My partners and I just adored her! We only went to the classy, romantic Lounge, but the full menu is offered. I tried the caesar salad, chicken quesadilla, and club sandwich...nothing crazy, but everything was good enough and reasonably priced especially for a hotel of this caliber. Premium draft beers are only $4, and house wines are $6... you'd pay nearly twice as much in California. If it weren't for Gina, this place would be a 4 Star.

I love this place! I've been here a few times now and yesterday I had the best experience with…read moreMorgan (she was a total doll - kind, attentive, helpful service all the way)! I started with a delightful mocktail, moved on to perfect boneless buffalo wings, & ended with the 7 ounce filet mignon & giant baked potato for lunch. The filet was cooked to absolute perfection - exactly how I like it. The potato was delightful - it was probably 12 ounces with real butter (they have fresh sea salt grinders on the table, and that was also wonderful, as I'm a salt girl). The ambience is 100% Wyoming steakhouse which I love and honestly everything was five stars. They have a great bar and tons of parking in the lot or on the street. Go!!

Not a local. Just passing thru…read more Had the ribeye. Was one of the better examples that I've had. Came out on a hot hot plate, which, I believe, is critical, since the prolonged higher temp keeps the fat rendering until you cut the meat. And a good ribeye has tasty fat which runs clear and full of flavor when it's served correctly. Garlic mushrooms were fantastic. Cream spinach excellent. Seth was my server. Good guy. Was covering another section and saw me sitting and waiting for an extended time so he came over to get me started. Incidentally, I ordered a Coke and water with a bunch of lemon wedges. He legit brought a bunch of lemon wedges with my two drinks. No one ever gets what a bunch of lemons is. He nailed it. Basically, if I ask for a bunch of lemons, when I'm done eating, there should be a few wedges left. Happy I stopped here.

My second time here, and it's continuing to impress!…read more My husband ordered the Cowboy Grilled Cheese, which he LOVED. When I tasted it, I found it quite straight-forward and satisfying. Warm pulled pork and melted cheddar inside a perfectly buttered and pan-toasted envelope of thick-cut white bread. The real star was the bread: impossibly light and airy. Yum :) I ordered the Chicken with Kale Pesto Sandwich and specially requested it on a croissant bun. Wow. The grilled chicken breast was absolutely moist and juicy! The bacon was thick, the pesto fresh, and the croissant bun the perfect combination of crispy, chewy, and buttery. Since I'm a saucy sandwich kind of girl, I ordered extra mayo and hot sauce on the side, which I mixed together to slather on each bite separately. And yes, it was GOOD. The Padre's Hot Sauce, apparently made by a local man (whose daughter happened to be our server today), was a revelation. Both the mild "Yellow Jacket" and hot "Bodacious" are made through a lacto-fermentation process that results in a luscious, complex chili flavor without the harsh vinegar edge that you get with most hot sauces. My hat's off to Mr. Padre for your delicious and painstakingly created hot sauce and to Paris West for featuring this superior, locally-produced artisanal product! I'm actually grateful that their espresso machine was on the fritz today, because I would not have otherwise tried their drip coffee, which was a special edition small batch dark roast, whose name escapes me. It was fantastic. And we culminated our meal with dessert: carrot cake for my hubby and Orange & Sugar crêpes for me. I found the carrot cake unpleasantly cold, dense, and barely carroty, topped with uninspiring cream cheese frosting and untoasted pecans - pass. The crêpes, on the other hand, were wonderful. Perfectly thin, uniform, and tender. With a thin brushing of orange marmalade inside and, be still my heart, a syrup-poached orange slice garnishing each folded pancake. I think a nice dollop of homemade whipped cream would've sent this dish over the top, but then I can be an over-the-top sort of person, so maybe don't listen to me :) Long story short, it was a fantastic mid-week brunch, and we will be back soon! I hope you'll join us :)

I ordered the short rib ravioli, the pasta was undercooked and the gravy sauce was so thick, I could barely eat it. My husband ordered a steak which was overcooked and chewy, with an old tasting flavor. The potatoes were fingerlings fried with no seasoning. Cocktail and brussel sprouts were good. Overall, food was not good and too expensive. I would not recommend unfortunately.

Paris West - Overly lit and chairs are too short. Our table had two bars in the way of our feet so they had to go on top of it. Kind of awkward.
