Our 2012 Toyota had a couple warning lights that stayed on, then the battery seemed to go bad. I took it to Hatch because I had purchased the battery there three years earlier and it had an 84 month warranty. The service department was very busy but Jason at the service center took the car in to examine and swap the battery. About two and one half hours later he said the battery was fine and the car was ready. There were no warning lights on and everything was working like new. Actual service tech was good, the service writer, not so much. about three months ago or so, my service writer R said there was a recall and he would order parts and let me know. He called on one day let the phone twice and before I could get to the phone hung up. no messages were left. On my next visit he wanted me to wait two additional hours to have the parts replaced. Told him no as there was a schedule for day and he never called to inform the parts were in. R stated he called 2 or 3 times, told him this was not true as I never received a message from him and only one call, a hang up showed on my call log. Just called to view a used car for sale I had seen on their website, was then told that it was a wholesale vehicle that they are not legally not allowed to sale unless you have a dealership license. I proceeded to ask if there were any issues with the vehicle as it stated it was in rather good condition for a 10 year old vehicle. After asking I was told they didn't know any issues but was followed up with it had a bad transmission. Will not be doing business with them anytime soon read more

Worst experience of my life. I went here as a solution after the car I owned needed a new transmission. Little did I know how awful it would be dealing with a car from this dealership. I went in for a used 2016 Toyota I saw online in August 2024. They couldn't find it... offered a test drive in a used 2018 Toyota of the same model. 1. Overcharged me on a used vehicle. 2. Didn't receive previous state my car has been registered in until the very end- this car was registered in states from Ohio- Florida etc. 3. Hid broken features of the car during show (stab marks in backseat door, stood right in front of it to show the backseat) and promised fixes on certain things that didn't get fixed (reattaching moonlight button panel, that was loose and almost falling out). The vehicle also wasn't washed, vacuumed, or cleaned at all. 4. Anything you need from the mechanics requires a $240 diagnostics- no matter what. From obvious transmission replacements to needing a steering wheel calibration, they charge you for knowledge they are supposed to already have. I will never buy a car from this specific dealership and after all the problems I've seen newer vehicles have and the constant problems my newer 2018 car has had, I'm apprehensive to buying another vehicle from Toyota at all. read more

When my dad passed away I was left in the position of taking care of all of his affairs. One of those was a Nissan Altima he purchased from Hatch Toyota used car division. He paid way to much for it (based on book resale), but that is not the problem. He paid way to much for it based on it being a good no issues vehicle. I paid it off with funds available, and because we wound up with way more cars than we needed I started doing some research on selling it. I expected low ball offers from dealers. I got a couple, and then I checked Autonation and CarMax. Carmax has always offered more than any dealer, so I was surprised when they didn't make an online offer at all. When I ran it through AutoNation they sent an offer to email, and then cut it in half due to frame damaged discovered from doing a vehicle history check. This was clearly not disclosed by Hatch when they sold it at the already almost outrageous price. Oh, I suppose its possible they told my dad and he bought it anyway, but I highly doubt it. I know him. He would have just bought something else, or demanded a price more in keeping with a frame damaged car. In my very well informed opinion there is no way my dad would have bought it if he knew its actual vehicle history. In my opinion Hatch deliberately and willfully took advantage of my dad in his old age. Based on my opinion derived from what I discovered if asked, I would say I wouldn't do business with Hatch, and I could never recommend them. In my opinion they deliberately took advantage of an old man in a very mercenary fashion. There were hints I noticed driving the car that seemed to indicate it might need service. I was thinking maybe it might need shocks, but frame damage could also explain it. It was frame damaged and its on the recorded vehicle history. Horrible experience. We received advertisement in the mail from Hatch Toyota for some free gifts if you had matching the number. Of course our number matched the lowest value price ($25 walmart card). We decided to take a trip and visit Hatch Toyota a few days after receiving the advertisement. We live 2 hours away so we made a day of it. Our idea was to test drive some used small pickups. When we arrived, Marvin voluteered to help us. After verifying our prize, we took a used Tacoma out for a short test drive, we sat down with Marvin and he began to draw up some paperwork. He then had me sign it and took it to his manager. He then brought back a sheet that had the breakdown on purchasing the truck. He went over it and asked me to sign it. I refused because I explained that we were not ready to commit to buying the truck. He then filled out paperowrk for the title and wanted me to sign that. I again explained that we just wanted to test drive the vehicle. I then asked about our gift card. Marvin went to check on it and came back and infomed us that they had run out of gift cards. I expressed my frustration about this and told him that it felt like a scam. He was very apologetic but offered no solution. It's not about the $25, but the whole thing felt very shady. We didn't hear about the running out of cards till the end of the sales pitch and nobody voluntered to make it right at that point. While Marvin was very helpful and polite, I can't say that about his manger (who we never met). Beware if you receive mailers from Hatch for free prizes. We bought a Corolla Cross in 2022. We used the 5 complimentary maintenances as we were supposed to. We were given printouts from the mechanics, stating all of the things they CLAIMED they did. We were called the other day to set an appointment for the timely maintenance such as oil change and the rest. I told them I would call when I was ready, because I just paid the registration and insurance. I got an email the following day, thanking me for letting them work on my car and that they would contact me for the next service appointment, when it was due. (reassuring right? The service hadn't even been booked yet). Since it isn't exactly cheap to do the whole service thing at the dealership, we did an OBD and minor mechanical ourselves. Then, this morning(09/05/2025) we changed our own oil. When my husband got under the car, imagine our surprise when we found that the factory seal to the oil pan was still intact. The original filter was still on it as well. the seal on the filter was still factory tight. When we emptied the oil, it was quite black. We have not even put 15,000 miles on the car(bought brand new). So the oil was NEVER changed. That means that the sheets they have given me for "work done" are likely as fraudulent as the oil changed claims. I am so disappointed in Hatch Toyota's Mechanical service. How dare they claim to be doing maintenance, and making us stay for hours, only to have not followed through. read more

I bought a used vehicle from Hatch Toyota in Show Low. I had been trying to decide to go new or used but we found this vehicle at their lot and decided to look at it. It had low miles so I ventured into the used vehicle foray. The vehicle is not the problem - I actually really like the vehicle. The problem is that they sold the vehicle to me with chips in the window for which there were too many to have it repaired and a nail in one of the tires. We called and talked to them and got ignored repeatedly. I finally went in because they knew both these things when we bought it. I didn't realize just how many chips in the window there were because most were hidden behind a piece of paper on the window. Fast forward they tell me they won't do anything about the window but will give me one tire. So not wanting 1 new and 3 used tires we bought 3 tires as well. When they put the tires on the guy told me it was just a bit under $900 and so I asked him if that was for 3 tires and he then proceeded to adjust the bill to only charge me for 3 tires which came to $826.04. I saved about $50 on a $220.80 tire. We generally buy new vehicles every few years. I can tell you Hatch will never have my business again. Oh and to make matters even better the steering wheel was covered with grime when I got it back. I went in and got a Lysol wipe and it Lysol wipe was black after cleaning off the steering wheel. Had they taken care of me just a little I wouldn't have written this and I would have probably bought additional vehicles in the future. I guess they don't want repeat customers. read more

Friendly Sales Guy, False Advertisement, Harassing Calls! We got a flyer in the mail saying we won a prize which of course I expected to be some sort of bait and switch or some other type of gimmick. Since it said we were guaranteed one of the prizes we thought they why not show up and just pick up the prize maybe will win something big. We got there and found out we won a $25 grill and thought well I grow something then they said they ran out of them already so we don't get anything but we can enter to win a go pro raffle. The go Pro is it actually a go pro though it's some off brand. So we drove an hour each way and didn't get anything so it was a waste of time and I learned a lesson next time I'll just throw the junk mail into the garbage like I usually do. Our sales guy was a young guy and he was really friendly I don't remember his name. I feel bad for them since we went there to buy anything but he was at least friendly about it. My wife was interested in a Toyota FJ is that they had a couple but the prices were extremely high I'm not paying 35,000 for a used 2014 vehicle. All in all I sort of despise when I go to the place and they give you a guaranteed prize or some sort of guarantee and then you find out it's all just a joke. Bought a 2021 Rav4 on 8-4-23. Sales person Michelle has been great. Dealing with finance and service has been terrible. First I never received any loan info except the name of the bank. I went to the bank and gave them my info and they were able to give me my account # and take my payment as the first payment was due that day. Today they told me the car was in (a whole month early) and that I had 48 hours to close the deal. The bottom line is that they had a person who wanted to buy the car in person today, and even though I reserved the car yesterday, they only gave me 48 hours to get my loan, sell my car and arrange for cross-country transportation of the bye vehicle to my home. I do not recommend this dealership. We asked for one week to get our logistics figured out (when we were told we had a month to do so just yesterday), but they were not willing to compromise and give us more than 48 hours. At the time of the paper work the finance manager along with the sales manager added a lot of not unwanted items which I asked to be removed, because they were increasing the drive off price. To my dismay the DMV registration was added on top of the agreed price. I was about to walk off the but my wife liked that car so badly that I had to suck it up. My son and I, went to every single car dealer ship in Show Low, and Snowflake, Az. That being said we had mostly good experiences. My son's car had just broken down and then we were down to just one vehicle. So we set out looking for another affordable car. My son has very good credit, so we were not worried about getting approved. When we got to Hatch Toyota, we were greeted by a sales person Jerry McGraw, who seemed extremely kind and honest, which for the most part was true and I would still do business with him today... They did run our credit even though he had promised and reassured us that until the car we wanted to test drive was on the lot which they had to send out for was in the credit would not be run. We are kind of new to buying a car now a days, so when they asked for our names and socials we thought it odd, but they had promised, so we gave the info as asked. When we were done and ready to leave, Jerry had to take us up to meet with the manager of sales. We still did not know at this time that they had run our credit, stupid I know, but still were told at the beginning that they promised not to run it... Still in the buying a new car bubble, we had to meet the sales manager who's name is Antonio Federico, He was eating what I believe to be sunflower seeds, and didn't look at us right away like he was to busy for us and then he looks at us and begins to speak at us not to us. He started giving us the hard sell you know the one ... The hard sell that everyone dreads from sales people... what can we do to make you buy today, we want your business and want you to buy today on and on and when I said there was nothing he could say or do to make us buy right then and there because the car we were interested in wasn't even on the lot yet, he just turned his chair back to his screen and grabbed more seeds or what ever he was eating, as if dismissing us, and said thanks for coming in, again not looking at us at all. His demeanor spoke volumes ... He just wanted us to leave his presence, we had nothing to give him, SUPER RUDE INDIVIDUAL!!!. We immediately fell out of the bubble, Jerry had spent so much time putting us in. We still had every intention on going to go back to buy the car when they got it in, but we were so put off by that Antonio, person that I went in two days after and told Jerry, that we would not be buying a car from this company ever. By that time we had been alerted that Hatch Toyota, had indeed ran our credit. That was the last straw for us. That man Antonio Federico, should be fired. He is losing a lot of business, not only for the business itself, but for the poor sales people who have to take their prospective buyers up to meet this sleazy nasty sales manager. I have 3 friends that were waiting to see what our experience was going to be on this car buying trip and now they will know where not to go at least as long as Antonio Federico, is over seeing this company. For me, Hatch Toyota has the worst communication/customer service with which I have ever dealt. Unfortunately, the name Hatch has now been tarnished for me and I will make sure to never do business with any dealership with their last name up here on the mountain. I had an issue with a car I bought from them and they keep making excuses as to why they wont fix it or do anything about it (even though it was written into the contract that they would fix it when we bought the car). They are telling me to now deal with a third party to get it fixed/corrected. They wont call me back like they say they would nor will they take ownership for their mistake, they have lied and made up excuses each time we physically go in their office to discuss anything with them. I'm glad other people have had positive experiences with Hatch, but just be careful when you go there. I wish I could just give the car back to them. My name is Kalah Barraza and I have a story to tell. My husband came here to buy this cute little red 2004 Saturn Ion. The tag said 4,350 dollars and we put 1,000 dollars down in order to get it, thus made it a car worth 3k. Well! The creditors that this lovely dealership hooked us up with made it an 8k car.. Okay that's interest and the loan, right? Okay. So. Sometime between this last few months, that 8k turned into 10k, with them telling us we have to pay 7,500 by this Monday in order for us to keep it from getting even higher than that. Hahaha, okay well here's the deal. My husband was fired 2 weeks ago, we are surviving off of whatever is left of our tax return, 1,560 dollars. I'm 8 months pregnant and we have to pay doctors bills and insurance payments. How in the world are we supposed to pay all this money for this that somehow sky rocketed from it only being worth 3,000 dollars to a 10k+ car?! We even called where the car came from and supposedly the car was priced even higher than what they said on the tag!! And get this, when we tried to talk to the dealership about it, they ran with their tail between their legs and we had to call the creditors that only wanted to tell us to talk to a machine and not a real person over and over again. The place is sheisty!! They take people for fools and screw them over! This isn't even the first time they tried to do this to my family, either! Boycott this place! High-Altitude New Car Hatch Toyota in Show Low, Arizona, provided us an excellent experience in buying a new Toyota Tundra. We found them friendly and helpful, providing good information and pricing. Their vehicles and prices are clearly disclosed on their website and in each phase of the pricing documentation, including a $499 dealership document fee that is reasonable compared to other dealerships. All vehicles are charged $210 for already-done VIN Etching on the windows, which is not specifically disclosed on their website but is on all their pricing sheets. Our representative Manny was terrific, very friendly and helpful. They are closed on Sunday, which we appreciate for the good of the employees. We have dealt with most of the Arizona Toyota dealerships and this one ranks among the best we have found. We needed to travel several hours to get there, but we feel they were worth the trip! read more
