Nice coffee, amazing staff but very little space upstairs to work. The space has such a cool vibe and uses paper straws which is plus!

They even blast country music over the speakers in this decked out wooden interior. I ordered a brisket sandwich that also had sausage. I wasn't going to expect much from a BBQ restaurant in London, but they impressed me. The brisket was juicy and full of a rich smoky flavor. How did they do this way out here?? The sausage was also juicy and had a delightful flavor. If I didn't know any better, this tasted just as good as a BBQ brisket sandwich back in the US. The sandwich came with a pickle spear and some coleslaw. There was a generous amount of brisket on the sandwich, where some US restaurants only give you two slices of brisket and call it good. I was stuffed with just this sandwich, and didn't need any sides.

We also got a regular burger with bacon and cheese and was really tasty with the sauce they used. Our server Domingo was attentive and kind without being overly aggressive. He seemed to always check on us at the right time. The restaurant setting makes me feel like I'm in Texas but with the benefits of a nice view of the river. I'd say this is a fun place to come with a group of friends and take advantage of their specials.

I don't eat there, I don't think I met anyone who does. But Parlour Bar (spelled the wrong way, by…read morethe English copying the French all the time "Parluuur" Bar is the best, hottest, most popular bar in Canary Wharf for years and always will be. It's centrally-located in a big park square and has a huge outside terrace with multple bar stations. Sometimes there are concerts or films set up in the park so you get a free show while you get tanked after work, and everybody is there after work. I miss getting drunk with my bud Nicky Glasses at Parlor, miss you buddy. Some day we will have to go there to reminisce inside bevys.

We were given menus and offered a choice water - including free tap water with ice and mint leaves, were presented a complimentary salmon amuse bouche and ordered cocktails. So far, so good. Once our delicious cocktails arrived, we ordered our starters and mains, and a bottle of wine. Unfortunately the white wine arrived warm, but it did come with an ice bucket, so it cooled down whilst we ate our starters. To our surprise, the mains (a standard burger and chips) arrived stone cold, but we let the waiter know, and he seemed genuinely apologetic and brought us fresh ones, which were hot. The food wasn't bad, but neither was it anything outstanding. The whole Parlour bar and restaurant menu has a quirky "circus" theme, with the cocktails named things like "tears of a clown" and "fairground millionaire", and the chips served in mugs or flower pots! Our burgers were served on a plastic cafeteria style lunch tray. Whilst the service was good, the prices were a little on the high side given the quality. I suppose it's the central Canary Wharf location that draws in customers looking for team lunches paid for on company credit cards.

It also served tapas so we thought this could be a back up plan if we couldnt find la tasca. There werent very many people in there either, which made it less exciting for me. This time around, while we were looking for a place to eat in the area, we decided to finally check this place out. When the four of us entered on a Friday night at around 9pm, there was only one table that was occupied. The place was essentially empty - which is exactly why it surpassed my expectations. It's a wonder how this place can be so empty when the beer and wine selection is fantastic, while the food tasted much much better than it's tapas serving neighbour (La tasca was only 3 stars for me). The four of us ordered: - Pintxo de Manchego (£3.75): Toasted bread topped with manchego cheese and fresh tomato. - meh - Chorizo Picante (£5.50): Spanish chorizo, marinated in red wine and onions. - good - Patatas Bravas (£4.00): Potato chunks, served with alioli and a spicy tomato sauce. - GREAT - Pollo al Limon (£5.25) Chicken breast skewers, marinated in garlic and lemon. - good but a little dry - Champiñones al Ajillo (£4.75) Grilled mushrooms, marinated in garlic and parsley. - GREAT - Tortilla (£4.50) A timeless classic, the Spanish omelette made with potato and onion. - GREAT - Calamari (£5.50): Fresh Billingsgate calamari, coated in our home prepared beer batter then deep fried to a golden brown. - GREAT - Albondigas (£5.50): Home made beef meatballs in spicy tomato sauce. - GREAT While the food was a little on the luke warm side, it tasted REALLY DELICIOUS. The service was good, the food was good, the drinks were good. This place is definitely a hidden little gem. The only thing that marred the experience was the patrons, one of whom was laughing like a hyena the entire night (think Janice from Friends).

The menu is extensive so there is sure to be something everyone likes. When our food was taking longer than they thought it should to be prepared we were offered bread and olives on the house. The indoor part of the restaurant is very small but on a summers day the large outdoor area would be a fantastic place to enjoy the food, drinks and coffee on offer at Le Pont. However when inside it is very cozy and comfortable. I look forward to going back again.
