They all said to call back in three days and set up an appointment then. John was the only person willing to come out on the weekend and take a look. It turns out my pipes had frozen in my attic and if I waited three more days, I could have had serious damage done. He explained everything and didn't charge me extra for coming out New Year's Eve to fix it, whereas most people would charge weekend or emergency rates. I gladly recommend him.

Management abandoned my household during active municipal compliance & critical care needs…read moreUnfortunately, company management has completely failed my household. I specifically signed up for D. Rohde's service plan because I am the primary caregiver for my severely disabled sister, who has quadriplegia. D. Rohde management was fully aware of our situation. When caring for someone who requires this level of intensive round-the-clock care, having reliable, functioning plumbing and dependable emergency service isn't just a convenience; it is an absolute necessity. Because I placed my trust in D. Rohde and committed to their service agreement, I declined to work with other local contractors. Yet, D. Rohde abruptly emailed me, stating that they are severing our business relationship and refusing to do any further work at my home. They abandoned us with two critical items ordered directly by the town building inspector that still need to be addressed to clear open municipal permits. Leaving a household, especially one caring for an individual with severe disability, without plumbing support and in the middle of active town building enforcement is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. It is deeply disappointing that management abandons clients when critical needs and permits are at stake. I have subsequently had other plumbers come to give me estimates for the outstanding work, who have pointed out issues with D. Rohde's work. After I brought the issues raised by third-party plumbers to management, they decided they no longer wished to hear about the matters other plumbers were raising and sent me an email stating they would no longer respond to any further emails from me. I have other plumbers coming to give estimates and will update my review accordingly. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will seek further communication with D. Rohde in the courtroom as warranted.

Last year Steven (and co-worker) gave me some solid help help on some heater-boiler (or was it…read moreA/C?) functioning issues. Superb job. This year, cold weather, a few slips, and I have a situation with no heat and no water, wondering what might be busted. Steven has gone above and beyond, even in the telephone hand-holding, looking at the pics I sent by text, giving suggestions. And the hot water is up, the local company is gonna fix the meter spritz immediately, and we are working together to see if I will need help on the heat (any busted spots?) after I try to do certain warming techniques in the house after I had Love Effron prime the boiler. This is even without a visit needed so far (very busy holiday weekend, and a big $-saver for me.) Amazing would be a light way to describe the help Steve has given me, and I plan to turn over the maintenance and support of anything he handles, including some help in trying to set up sensors to help prevent future difficulties. The big thing ... he really cares about your problem .. getting it resolved .. sensibly. Thanks!

They exceeded my expectations, were able to provide practical suggestions for me to manage the house while we waited for the arts to arrive (which Josue was able to creatively expedite) and what to change in the future to keep problems from cropping up later and I will continue to rely on them in the future for my HVAC needs.
