We went during Christmas Eve for dinner. You order at the cashier and they bring out the food once it's ready so there's no table service. Nice decor, friendly service, lots of options for vegetarians. The food was very flavorful, and piping hot. We had asked for Medium, which was quite spicy, so next time we'll go with Mild. They were also out of the pastries at around 6pm. Nice to have this place open up in Cypress! We'll be back!

New Indian spot on Westheimer will satisfy all your biryani and Indian delicacies cravings! The mandi biryani was spot on. Besides us our friends also enjoyed the dishes and flavors were a 10/10 you can taste the spices and aromatics were blended to perfection. The Afghani was a hit more than the malai chicken for sure. They also have a variety of dessert options from cakes to pastries to falooda's. Check it out! We will definitely go back for sure

For the mark up of sub par little Mango lassi. And on yelp it says 3.99 and we got charged 5.99 and its 7 on uber eats. Come on now. Just based strictly on this I DO NOT recommend this place. First and last time. Odas gives a much better product.

Super pretty decorations. Lots of tables and very busy. We got the street chicken fried rice. Good portions and very flavorful and tasty. Staying inside you'll have lots of instagram worthy photos and the ambience is very fun and exciting

Delicious cashew chicken appetizer and amazing Afghan chicken curry! Definitely worth the stop.

We stopped in for lunch had the chicken cashew appetizer, the onion sauce, and the Afghani curry with assorted nouns. Nothing was disappointing.

I visited on a busy Saturday evening and was impressed by the friendly and quick service. Although the Mandi takes longer to prepare, I didn't get a chance to try it. The veggie momo were flavorful, and I appreciated the wide variety of options available--both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The menu features dosas, curries, sweets, and Indo-Chinese dishes, so there's something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable, and there's a designated area where you can sit without shoes. One thing to note is that they don't take reservations, and the food tends to be on the spicier side, with no mild options available. As a vegetarian, I prefer Shiv Sagar for fast food Indian food, but this place offers a different experience with its variety and bold flavors.

For dinner, we got the butter chicken experience, dal musaafer and paneer rizala. All were good but I liked the paneer rizala the best. The reception area was small and almost claustrophobic, but very ornate. There were a few chairs for you to wait. We didn't wait long, probably less than a minute. As the hostess lead us into the main dinning area, I was shocked on how big the place was (it reminding me of the big meat market restaurants in NYC). The first room was bright from the outside sunlight, almost like an outside cafe. Our table was in a different area, where it was a little darker and decorated a lot differently from the previous room. As I looked around, there were other sections at this restaurant that kind of represented different places. The section we sat in had a very long table...which I'm guessing can host a very big family or corporate party. It sat right next to the open kitchen. Our waitress, Yaretzy, was very nice. She explained how the owners traveled to the different states of India and want to share that experience at Musaafer. Yaretzy would provide an explanation for each dish. Some of them were mixed/put together table side. Everything was delicious, and not too spicy. Musaafer is fine dining, so it's not something we can do ever weekend. But we will be back. Getting here was a little tricky if you are not familiar with the area. The restaurant is located in the Galleria. The entrance to Musaafer is on the first floor inside the mall, down the hallway closest to Saks Fifth Ave on the right (if facing Saks). You will need to take the private elevator to the second floor or walk up the stairs. There is valet parking if you prefer to do that. I think there is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant that might be free, but we went into the underground Purple garage. If you park right after going down the ramp into the Purple garage, you will see an elevator into Saks Fifth Ave, which you take up and walk outside with a short walk to Musaafer. The only problem with what we did was when Saks closes, we couldn't take that elevator back down. There were stairs back down to the purple garage, but it stank! There had to be another elevator that will take you into the mall.

Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. The first thing we noticed when we entered the restaurant was a strong, unpleasant smell. Since we had specifically gone there to try the food, we still decided to dine in. We ordered chai, Mysore masala dosa, chole bhature, and samosas. None of the dishes really stood out. The food was just average; not terrible, but definitely not worth making the drive for. The chai in particular had almost no flavor, and we couldn't even finish it. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially given the hype. There are many better options in the Katy/Richmond area where you can find great food in a much more pleasant dining environment. The smell inside the restaurant was also concerning, as it raises questions about hygiene and food safety standards. For context, we visited on a Saturday morning around 11:30 AM, so it wasn't late in the day or close to closing time. Based on this experience, I wouldn't prefer to visit again.

The interior itself is clean and spacious, with booth seating options that I love. The service is always courteous and timely, though weekend can get busy and be a bit slower. The food itself is full of flavor and authenticity. I love the malai kofta, chicken karahi and the chicken biryani. The malai kofta is the perfect balance of sweet and savory, with a rich creamy curry and a delicious vegetable patty. The meat dishes have a bit of a kick, but lucky for me, has an adjustable spice level of you ask. The meat itself is tender and works well with the spices to really give you a truly unforgettable meal. An Indian restaurant I can endorse.
