They use Minute rice or something of similar quality, and they don't use hardly any gravy. If you know you know, and that beast better be swimming in that gravy. Hash is the name of the restaurant and a dish they serve. I did not expect to find vegetarian hash on the menu, but there it was. It was truly tasty too. I most assuredly did not order the huge cinnamon roll. Actually, huge doesn't do I justice. This sweet bomb is larger than most of the plates that we own. I watched other diners dig into these cinnamon aircraft carriers. They did seem to love it. It didn't make sense to eat there after it felt like they didn't want my business. The restaurant was busy when I arrived. I place myself on the waitlist at 9:30am for a party of 6. Everybody that showed up after me was seated before me. When I went to ask about the table she said they were cleaning it, so I stepped back outside to give them a moment to clean it while I waited. I peek back inside 5 mins later and the girl I had asked about my table was cleaning another table. I do not recommend coming. Why god why do so many restaurants feel the need to have such big servings. Like, hey, let's make the most enormous pancake that feeds a table of people. What? You only have one or two people eating, didn't you want breakfast leftovers for the next two days? No, I just honestly wanted one single pancake. Order takeout from here on our way to camp on the Olympic peninsula and I'm so glad we did! This place was packed on a Sunday around 1pm so I'm glad we weren't trying to eat inside. The outdoor tables are in comfy and on the main road so we opted to just eat in the car with our dog. Oh man, the food was so good! My smoked salmon omelette was the best I've had in a long time. I have to say first, when I walked in I was reading the board, and then the menu and I was like "oh man, if I don't get something with kale and avocado, these guys are going to judge me super hard." But my initial impression was dead wrong, instead we got some amazing service, the young man who help us was wonderful and recommended the BBQ hash which was loaded with Beecher cheese and amazing sauce and the most perfectly cooked egg I have ever had in my life. My wife got the smoked salmon omelette, which I didn't really care for but only because it's not something that is normally part of my pallet. It was in fact really good, just not for me. We also got one of their GIANT cinnamon rolls and, I'm not kidding when I say this could be a meal alone. I want to give an extra shout out to the buttered corn bread sauce. I think it might have been blueberry or some such. After such a great experience I will definitely be back. This has been the best meal we've had in the first 3 days of our trip through the PNW. My husband got the brisket hash and a biscuit with bacon gravy. He hasn't stopped talking about it. I had the veggie burrito and it was the BEST breakfast burrito I've had IN MY LIFE and I live in AZ and we have lots of breakfast burritos. We tried 2 times to get service and they failed miserably. The first time, we signed in on their automated system and spoke briefly with the hostess and took a seat outside. We had menus and when the waiter came out 20 minutes later they informed us it was too late in the day to order. Today we tried again. We signed in on their automated system, selected "outside seating" option, typed in our phone number and the system said we were 2nd in line and expect a 10-15 minute wait. After 10 minutes I recieved an automated text saying we were next in line. 10 minutes more our name was called and the hostess said that they are not serving customers outside. I asked why was the option to sit outside was selectable if it was not going to happen? Why not a sign by the register/device that says, "sorry, no outside seating"? The hostess said too bad, we are short staffed today. I asked if I could just order the food and take it to the outside table myself. She said no. A huge disappoint and waste of time. An operation that needs better management and more courteous and acommodating staff. Can't say anything about the food quality as after two attempts we never got any. We did find a great bagel shop down the street 6th Borough Bagels and had an excellent everything bagel with egg and sausage. read more
