Within 24 hours, Ruby phoned. I explained our needs and we scheduled a home visit. She showed up on time and listened to our thoughts regarding the window coverings we were interested in. She measured the two windows and showed us some samples. We made our choices and placed our order with a down payment. Ruby shared that it would take approximately four weeks to receive our order. A few days later I emailed Ruby asking if they offer any discounts. She said they offer 10% off for Veterans. In less than three weeks, we received a call from Phil, the owner, who said they had received a Sunday shipment and he could install them the following Wednesday. He arrived at the scheduled time and within thirty minutes, our lovely blinds were installed. He did honor the 10% discount and deducted that amount from our balance. Based on customer service, product and price, we would definitely use them again and highly recommend them, too.

My shutters and blinds turned out great and still work like new. I've only ever lived in houses with older corded blinds, so making the switch to cordless blinds and shutters has been a game changer. My older blinds were ripped out during the reno process and the windows were bare for a few months. Ciera kindly offered to order me temporary paper shades to help cover the windows as I waited for our new ones to come in. The install was super smooth. I appreciated that they used shoe covers inside and made sure to vacuum and clean up the best they could. I'm glad I was able to support a local, family-business that sells high quality products. I had a pleasant experience working with the team and highly recommend to others!

When…read morewe were looking for shutters for our new home, the reviews for 5 Star Shutters & Blinds made them a must call, and we are glad we did. Ciera, Jesse, Lacey, and Sheena were all fantastic. From measuring the windows to the install, we could not be happier with our purchase and experience. We received two quotes while shopping for shutters and 5 Star made the choice easy when they provided a lower price than a big box store, plus supporting a local family business was the cherry on top. We were notified yesterday our shutters had arrived and they were installed today. The Norman composite shutters we purchased are gorgeous and transformed our home. I cannot thank Jesse and Lacey enough for the thorough, professional, and respectful install today. We had family over during the installation, and one of our relatives plans on using 5 Star for their project. If you are like me and spend a lot of time researching before a purchase, do yourself a favor and call 5 Star Shutters & Blinds. You won't be disappointed. It's been a while since I have experienced personalized customer service like they provide. They clearly take pride in their craft. There is a reason 5 Star Shutters & Blinds has...five stars.

Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. I visited the showroom in Manteca to check out what my…read moreoptions were. I met Marla at that time and she was easy to talk to, knew exactly what my thought process was and understood how to address all my questions and concerns. I will definitely say that seeing all the showroom models really helped me better understand what I wanted vs what I needed vs what makes the most sense for my window situation. Even after a very informative and eye-opening experience in the showroom, I had trouble committing because, well, I always have trouble! But going there really helped me decide. Ultimately, I scheduled an appointment for an in-home consultation, basic measurements and quote. Marla sent Nancy for my visit and she was just a breath of fresh air to work with! From one knowledgeable person to another. It made the final decision really easy when I worked with two people who have been in the business a long time and really understood what they were talking about. Nancy gave me a lot of good guidance on top of what Marla had already shared with me in the showroom. Nancy was exceptional at the gentle nudging that really helped solidify my decisions with regards to what styles of coverings to use on each window (taking into consideration what room of the house it was, which direction it was facing and what would be seen from outside). It eased my nerves to work with someone who had the answers and explanations I needed. She helped me narrow down styles, colors, trim styles, retractable mechanism options, material and everything else! It was such a weight to finally decide! My official measurements and installation appointments were completed by Jacob and his helper Mike. Really nice guys. They were so quick and efficient with their time. Although they were in and out in no time, it didn't at all feel rushed. The product installation knowledge was clear in their efficiency and ease of service. They were also very respectful of my home and took necessary measure to ensure not trekking in outside dirt or leaving any trash behind. They also made sure to provide me with all the necessary reminders for new installations and warranty paperwork. Ultimately, I decided on all Hunter Douglas products for the exceptional quality built and materials as well as warranty offered. The products I chose were: -Hunter Douglas Palm Beach Vinyl Shutters (easy to maintain and clean, will not yellow for decades- LIFETIME WARRANTY!) on all front facing windows- for aesthetics and curb appeal. -Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb shades for all other windows facing the back and sides of house. Depending on room and accessibility to shade, some have the Literise (mania lift) and some have the Ultraglide (wand with hidden cord). Honeycombs obstruct my view the least and the cord mechanism has a lifetime warranty so I don't have to stress about the 5 year limited warranty on a motorized shade. I have all the extended details if anyone is really interested. But I've already divulged too much here. Cost was another positive thing. I won't share specifics as that will depend on what specific options you choose, but I don't think you can ever go wrong with the quality of Hunter Douglas products and warranty. All I know is, I got a price quote and then after the final measurement, it came back cheaper because Nancy found an active rebate for me! Woohoo! The process from start to finish was a mere 4-5 weeks at the time of my purchases. The final result was custom built window coverings that were made to fit all of my windows precisely. Definitely not something I could ever accomplish on my own. I paid for the experience of working with a completely professional and knowledgeable team as well as top tier quality products. I can't rave enough about Elite Shutters. I can't wait to send more clients their way. Thanks to the entire Elite team for a phenomenal experience!

Chris Louie, the owner, was incredibly friendly and responsive right from the start. After I submitted a quote request online, he contacted me almost immediately and came out with a huge variety of samples. Seeing the different shutter styles, sizes, and widths in person was so helpful because what I *thought* I wanted actually changed once he walked me through the options. He really took his time explaining everything, which made the process much less overwhelming. I also appreciated that he gave me a few days to think it over instead of pushing for a quick decision. After comparing everything, I decided to go with Axent -- and I'm so glad I did. The pricing was fair, communication was excellent, and the delivery and installation went smoothly. The install team was fantastic. They worked efficiently, cleaned everything up, and even vacuumed before leaving -- it honestly looked like they had never even been there. Helpful tip: if you're unsure about shutter sizes or styles, ask Chris to walk you through the differences in person with the samples. It makes choosing so much easier. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.
