Very good. I ordered out but after going in the restaurant they do have a date night ambiance. Fast and friendly service. I got the pepper chicken which was absolutely delicious. Very tender and juicy with just enough pepper. The broçcli was amazing flavor and tenderness. Not to hard and not mushy. The asparagus was also very good. Nothing at all bad to say. I would visit again if I have a chance. read more

I love the atmosphere and the food is good. However, I wish there were actual vegetarian options for an entree. Even their salads have meat with no clear substitution for making it vegetarian. for the price of the salads, it's isn't worth it when you get them without meat. A meat substitute for those would be great (tofu, mushrooms, etc). I would love to eat here more, but it's difficult for herbivores. A good vegetarian entree and sandwich option would go a long way. read more

Classic old steakhouse ambiance. Not much touch on new decor. Unfortunately it is in all of the Harvey's (Tupelo, Starkville, Columbus). Dark, wood and leather everywhere. I think design was done 20-30 years ago and still keeps same view. Overall all though if you like this style no issues. I like more cozy and little contemporary decor with more white in color. Food wise it is same among three places and it is little above average but if you are in these towns it will be in top 30%. Steak marinated with pineapples! I do not know who came with this idea but not my taste. Burger is ok. Roasted rib eye better. Mac and cheese average. Service is ok no complains or compliments. Harvey's is absolutely the best restaurant in Columbus, MS. From the quality meats and market fish specials to the wide variety of impressive wines and bourbons, I was extremely impressed. We got the marinated ribeye and the prime rib. The cuts of meat were exceptional and cooked proper to our liking. We ended with a bread pudding which had a warm bourbon sauce and apples, it was amazing. I would recommend Harvey's in Columbus for business meetings, date nights, a quick lunch, they go above and beyond for every occasion. Plus! They offer half priced wine bottles every Monday. So where to begin. I ordered the 14 ounce New York strip steak. It cane with about 4 ounces of fat. I ordered it medium and it came between rare and medium rare. Might have been ok with that but it and the grits (which were tasty) arrived warm but not hot. The steak was tough and not flavorful. Not Prime for sure and most likely a lower grade choice. The prime rib was ordered medium rare and was very rare, just warm, and tough. They fact that both arrived in the tepid side was most likely the waitress. Ambiance was decent for the area. read more

Went here for Fathers Day and it's a place I've eaten at several times. Today the service was very subpar and waited over an hour for the food to arrive. My salad never came until I had to ask about it. When the food arrived both mine and my wife's prime rib was way over cooked. (good priced but still $30) Ordered medium rare and it was borderline burnt, came out grey and dry and the server didn't offer any help on the situation. Food tasted great and the atmosphere is always great but service and quality of food on a somewhat busy night isn't somewhere I'd recommend. read more

This place is packed! So make sure you make reservations or come early. Appetizers were so delicious we had the spinach artichoke dip and fried broccoli. For dinner I had the blackened catfish with asparagus instead of spinach. It was pretty good and very fresh but needed pepper and salt. read more

My very first time to order from here. 1-27-22 I ordered to go. It was excellent!!!! the young lady named Chelsea came out to my truck, we talked and she was the kindest ever! Very pleasant to talk with and made sure my order was exactly as I expected!! We had the grilled catfish and the marinated ribeye. My husband absolutely loved the Ribeye!! Tried out Harvey's after getting some recommendations. I got the broccoli bites for an appetizer because it was the first time I saw a restaurant say it was their signature appetizer. They were a pleasant surprise and I'm shocked other restaurants don't incorporate them in their menu. The salmon and sauce was delicious. Upon arrival on Memorial Day, many of the hotel recommendations were closed early. Thankfully Harvey's wasn't and I met up with a small group of friends to grab a beverage and some dinner. We could tell the staff was winding down the night, but they were very accommodating and welcoming despite our holiday evening arrival. Our waiter was more than happy to help us sample a variety of beverages and start us off with a delicious fried green tomatoes appetizer which came with a very rich remoulade sauce. Absolutely loved it! I ordered the fish of the day (a type I was not familiar with...and name now eludes me) which came with grilled asparagus, rice, and a buttered roll. The fish was solid and my accompanying wine made for a great meal. Everyone else was happy with their meal and I would be happy to return to Harvey's and try some of their other dishes based off this experience! read more

This review is for the Columbus location. We dined on January 2nd 2023 and our server was phenomenal! He was charming, educated about the menu and very courteous. I would be proud to have him for an employee. In a word exemplary. The food was out of this world. I had the shrimp and grits, with the chicken soup. Our starters were the mozzarella sticks and broccoli balls. The starters were perfectly cooked and the cheese was smooth not a bit squeak. The broccoli balls were cheesy goodness. My soup was buttery and chicken smoothness with big chunks of chicken vegetables and perfect noodles, better than Grandma's. The shrimp were huge and seasoned perfectly with creamy cheese grits served perfectly hot. Finished with the best bread pudding ever and I will be back all the way from Illinois for another visit soon!!! read more

I'll definitely continue to give Huck's a chance because I enjoy the food and most of the staff, but I hope the bar service was just an off night.

Everyone who works here is absolutely lovely, attentive and helpful. The space itself is very unique, which I also love. The food on the other hand, not my preference. I've tried so many things over time and nothing really stood out to me. I've had the warm seafood pita, growing up on the gulf, we didn't eat imitation seafood. I eat kani when I eat sushi, but that's about it. So I was a little turned off by the fake crab in my sandwich. I also had their philly, it's not really what you'd expect for such a sandwich. Again, knowing where I can get a really great one, this wouldn't be my first choice. The prices are super reasonable though.

Terrible!! Overrated! And way to expensive for what they are trying to portray for that little town. I ordered a filet mignon salad that came with two skewers, it was 13.99, I ordered an EXTRA two skewers to add to salad, and they charged me 15.00 dollars extra!!!! I COULD'VE JUST BOUGHT ANOTHER SALAD!! I call the manager over to ask about the filet mignon ( him not knowing I'm a chef) I asked what cut of meat is this??? He looked shocked... and replied of it's a mixed beef, filet and something I've never ever ever heard of!! Smh.. hmm I said, so why does it portray as mignon, he just said it's mixed. Next I asked why does it have so much soy sauce on it? He said it's a signature soy and pineapple juice.. For you that don't know, restaurants and supermarkets do this to mask the flavor of OLD meat!! So you won't smell or see the discoloration of it. Am I saying they do this? Of course not, but it is absolutely something to think about. Nevertheless, he didn't stick around for me to ask anything more. I will NOT be back there. read more

First time visiting this restaurant and it seemed to be a nice establishment. Our server was luke warm ok no biggie, I ordered the ginger beer mock tail never got it salad was good we both ordered steaks well done my boyfriend even said to burn his! Steaks were definitely not well done still very pink in the middle also my boyfriend ordered the broccoli and after eating most of it noticed something that looked like a worm on it upon looking closer I saw that it was a maggot not one but two on his broccoli!!!! Couldn't be more disgusted. The manager came out and said that he couldn't be sure what it was and just looked at us like oh well.I then told him that I had pictures and showed him ,zoomed in and literally said no sir those are maggots, he quickly took the plate and receipt and just walked away saying we're good and never came back the serve did apologize. read more

Harvey's - A Culinary Gem in Columbus Harvey's in Columbus, Mississippi is an absolute must-visit for any food lover passing through! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and attentive service. Our server, Marti Irene, was exceptional. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and her recommendations were spot on. We started our meal with the broccoli bites, a surprisingly delightful appetizer that was the perfect prelude to the main course. The star of the show, however, was the ribeye. It was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a pure indulgence. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, creating the ideal setting for a memorable dining experience. We cannot recommend Harvey's highly enough! Wow thats was an amazing experience I just had at this location. Everything was top tier. I was sat promptly and my server Gavin was absolutely phenomenal He was well versed on the menu. He was able to help me decide on the Broccoli Bites, Asian Chicken Salad, and the Mississippi Butter Cake for dessert. Which all were great choices, I finished everything and I am stuffed( Only $42.40 with an alcoholic beverage) The Manager Ms.Holley was a delight as well she stopped by my table during my visit and she told me about the daily specials and brunch on the weekends. she really had me at Chicken and Waffles I'll definitely be back this weekend. I was in town visiting family, and when I asked what they wanted for dinner, I was told Harvey's. The wait was particularly long, but I chalked that up to the holidays, so instead we ordered from the " curbside to go". Wow!!! Was I impressed, not only did the guy answering the phone sound happy to be at work but genuinely cared about making sure my order was correct. We ordered the 16 oz. Prime rib, and a Marinated Ribeye. I ordered the incorrect side item and when I called back to fix my error, the same polite voice of Jody said sure it will be my pleasure. I picked up my order at the appropriate time quoted and was greeted with a smile and my wonderful food. I can't wait to try the full dining experience if my experience for a to go order was this great. read more

Harvey's staff is very friendly and welcoming! The Broccoli Bites are amazing and they have a wide variety of wine with over 100 bottles to choose from! They have half price bottles of wine on Monday nights and you even have the option to take the bottle home with you! I ordered a Marinated Ribeye with the asparagus and loaded baked potato and it came out in a great timely manner! The managers come around and talk to every table and make sure you are being treated with excellent service and satisfied! The bartender that served me was Chelsie ! Food was amazing! My boyfriend and I came in yesterday after lunch for a quick bite before more holiday shopping. I got the fish special, trout, and my boyfriend got the burger. Our waitress, Karsey, was very hospitable and provided great conversations and menu recommendations. Never was a fish person, but she talked me into it and I don't regret it. The one she suggested had a small sweet marinade to it. I'm not really a sweet steak guy but I went with it.... and man was it really good. Cooked to perfection (medium rare) and tasted super fresh. The Mac and cheese was also solid, as was the sweet tea. Now... the chicken noodle soup: I loved it. Big soup here and although this soup was not "brothy" at all, it was thick and creamy, so good. Overall, I can't wait to go back to Starkville if it's on the schedule next spring because if it is, I know where I'll be returning for a meal.

We tried several times to make a reservation online, even days before, and finally called to reserve a spot over the phone, but we were told they do not make reservations on game day weekends. With that in mind, we anticipated a wait but expected the restaurant to be prepared accordingly. That assumption was incorrect. When we arrived, there were several tables on the patio and throughout the building spread with dirty dishes and in need of cleaning - they were in dire need of a busboy. The hostess was very kind and working extremely hard to get people seated, she cleared a table for us near the front bar area and we were seated within probably 10 minutes of arrival which was not bad. From there however, we sat for at least 15-20 more minutes at our table and were never greeted by any server or even offered water. We eventually decided to leave as it was clear that we wouldn't be receiving any service anytime soon. I do not fault the wait staff in this, they were obviously very overwhelmed and understaffed, but it is disappointing that management did not better prepare for what should have been expected to be a busy weekend. Allowing reservations during a highly anticipated weekend only makes sense, even if only a limited number of reservations so that walk-ins can still be accepted. We were really looking forward to trying this spot out and were disappointed by our experience.

All in front of other patrons. It was humiliating. I paid the remainder (although not legally required to by law) because it was a mistake on her part, not mine (she had my card for 10 minutes). No accountability was taken on the restaurants part and I will never eat there again. I was so disappointed after enjoying my meal.
