Did a large pickup order for breakfast. The order came out correctly and it was delicious! Got a variety of things including: cheddar omelet, home fries, biscuit with jam, chicken empanadas, fruit cup, sweet tea, and pecan pancakes. Everything tasted so good! The food was good. This is about the service. On Sunday 4/27/25 Me and my friend waited 5min at the door to be seated which didn't seem so bad yet there were open tables everywhere. Then once seated, it was 10 minutes before we even got someone to stop by our table, and that was ONLY because my friend had to grab a waitress as she walked by. The waitress just stared at us like she didn't see us before that moment even though she was inches away when walking by... The drink my friend wanted they said they didn't have yet it was on the menu. (Mango lemonade) then once our food came, the waitress came by only twice and I had to ask for a refill on my coffee. Then when it came time to be checked out, the server brought over one check and we asked for two. She came back with two, but she said she couldn't remember what the other one ordered and rather than ask us she just duplicated my order so my friend paid for the exact same thing as me even though she had different food.... Fortunately, my omelette was the same price as her French toast but then we were waiting forever for the server to come back and take our check to the point where I just said let's just leave a $20bill so we'll each leave an $.80 tip and you can Venmo me. She only had a card but I had enough cash to cover and we didn't want to wait anymore. It was ridiculous. It was like we weren't even seen! read more

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Service is always friendly and they make sure that your business is appreciated. For breakfast, my go- to is the eggs Santa Domingo. It is similar to a Benedict but has a lighter, but very flavorful sauce. For lunch I have had the pulled pork, fried plantains, tostones as well as the Cuban sandwich. Everything has been excellent. The Cuban is up there with the best I've had in Tampa and Miami. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed. read more

Decided to try Hartura after reading positive Facebook recommendations and then the few positive ones here on Yelp. Was excited they serve breakfast all day for sure!!!! The restaurant itself is underwhelming it's a refurbished Pizza Hut that hasn't had much decorating done to it. We didn't even see a sign advertising it. We went with a party of 8 and were greeted and seated right away. Unfortunately after that the service became very very slow. It took our waiter a while to come over and get drink orders and then even longer to bring our drinks (he forgot one but quickly got it). We ordered our food and then the extremely long wait began....no joke it took about 45 min for the food to begin coming out. We were not all served at the same time (big issue with me) by the time the last person got their food the first person was more then 1/2 way done with theirs. The food itself was delicious (barring 1,2 dishes) i ordered the cordon blue French toast with scrambled eggs and give it a 9 out of 10! It was delicious. On the flip side my daughter got shrimp and grits she would give a 2 out of 10 - the grits weren't flavorful, not fully cooked, very soupy and the shrimp had tails on it (pet peeve when you get a hot meal and have to get tails off shrimp). My husband said the tostones with his eggs were tasteless and my other daughter thought the pancakes were mid. My mom loved the eggs Benedict, giving it them 8 out of 10. The bowl of fruit we shared was large and plentiful with sweet melons. The biscuits were big and fluffy. The average food rating was a 6-7. (The restaurant itself is a 2-3 star but the food 4, i based my star rating on the food rather then the whole experience) Definitely going to try them again but not if we are in a rush for sure. read more

It was very plain, no season for Dominican food. The sancocho was horrible. The pernil was very gamy. The Cuban is not a Cuban sandwich. I'm writing this as I sit at the table eating my delicious breakfast with my family. We woke up late and really wanted breakfast and I found this place by happenstance, and man, I am so glad I did. I ordered the French Toast Cordon Blue and it was perfect. The French toast perfectly toasted and sweet. The ham and cheese perfectly cooked tender and melted. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were perfect. My husband ordered the avocado toast and Eggs Benedict and if you know food, you can tell a kitchen knows what they're doing by their Eggs Benedict, and this kitchen nailed it. The dressing for the arugula salad on the avocado toast was refreshing and delicate on the palate. The two together was a tender blend and never overpowered one another. I am a serious foodie and come from a state were food is everything, so I was pleasantly surprised with this little neighborhood gem. read more

Went to this place tonight as we heard it was new and wanted to try it out. We got arapeas, Cordon Blue French toast and chicken and waffles. The food was fresh and made from scratch. You can get breakfast any time which isa big . I definitely will be coming here on a regular basis. This is a family run restaurant with only 3 people working so the wait staff was a little erratic, but overall great food. We will be back. read more

I really had my hopes up when this place opened. I had the chicken fricassee with two sides (rice and pinto beans). The taste of the chicken was Ok, but the beans tasted like if they were cooked in only water with no seasoning whatsoever. I also ordered the soup of the day "beef soup" and it was basically a can of progresso soup in a different container. Very disappointed. I understand the place is southern/ Dominican, but from my experience I wouldn't recommend this place to any one, especially if they are expecting Dominican food read more

I was looking for brunch that day and every other restaurant was closed, I ordered a veggie omelet and french toast and THEY WERE *chefs kiss* and the service was good as well. I would recommended 1000x, their home fries and toast are also very very good! they are defiantly underrated and need to make a name for them selves !! I can't express how pleased I've been with this restaurant. We have eaten here several times since it opened. The service is excellent and the food is awesome. It's in a location that's kind of off the path, (located in The Market of Wake Forest, where the Pizza Hut use to be.) We ordered breakfast and then came back later for lunch. It's very clean and our waitress was so sweet and made sure that we had everything we needed. The staff are all awesome. The prices are reasonable and the portions are perfect. The empanadas are the best I've had in this area. It's worth a visit if you are in the Wake Forest area. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were five people in my party.Although it a clean place with decent service, the food is lacking taste, at least at breakfast. Eggs over with "home fries", sausage, coffee and rye toast. Everything was cool, eggs, potatoes, sausage and toast, but the coffee was hot. Tried this place when they first opened and no improvement on anything. My last time there, was my last time there. Family owned restaurant. The entire family is there and working. My wife and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. You can chose your own table when you arrive. The restaurant was a bit empty on this day. They provided friendly service and answered all questions including providing a dinner menu during lunch. The menu is a bit limited and that is ok. Food was tasty and well prepared. We had chicken fricassee and pork plate with tostones, home fries, white rice and black beans. While a bit appetite could could finish the meal, we had left overs to take home. I would suggest an ethnic playlist to help go along with the menu. The music coming from the kitchen was more rock and jazz. When we received the meal, we were genuinely asked if we needed anything and we were brought dipping sauce and ketchup. We were checked on while eating. I would suggest a bit more checking on tables after completing the meal. Check is paid at front counter. I would suggest giving this restaurant a try.
