I came here in search of something outside of the usuals in Elkins and cannot say enough amazing things about this place. The service was wonderful - everyone was nice and friendly and the owner Dianne gave us a hug and told us her story! The food was exquisite! Biscuits were heavenly, the ham had a nice char to it, and eggs were actually cooked over medium like I requested instead of undercooked like a lot of places. Hash browns were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside- I forgot to take a photo of my main meal, oops!

Barb's is a typical small town diner- not fancy, not gourmet but friendly efficient service and excellent food. Crisp fresh salad to start. Grest selection of pies- we chose a luscious raisin walnut, so yummy. .Stumbled on Barb's but unlikely to forget it for a long time

We thought we were going to the wrong address because as we were walking more and more into a residential area, but low and behold there it was sitting on a corner on 7th st. There were several specials but two of us settled on a steak hoagie with waffle fries and a third on a fish sandwich, they both got the freshly made pineapple cake which they said was fantastic and the fish sandwich got high remarks. The steak hoagies with mixed peppers and waffle fries were excellent and filling, with perfectly baked bread and cheese. Service was excellent as well and friendly. I don't recall the hours but they were not standard so I would call them. Highly recommend.

A barbecue restaurant in a small old building that has housed a succession of restaurants. The…read morecorrect question is not what could go wrong, but what could go right? First, when I stopped in shortly after the normal lunch hour, the restaurant was immaculate. All the tables were clean, it's uncrowded, there's lots of light. The lady running the restaurant was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't ask, but I think she's probably the owner. I ordered a brisket sandwich with baked beans as a side, and ordered an extra side of potato salad. When she brought the food to my table I immediately realized I was going to need take-home containers. The brisket sandwich comes with a half a pound of brisket, and it appeared to be every bit that much if not more. Both of the sizes were generous helpings. I have children who live in Nashville in Kansas City, and frequently eat barbecue when I visit those two cities. I think this brisket was as good as any I've had at those places. The potato salad was good. There was nothing too special about the baked beans, but they were also good. If you're missing your barbecue and wondered where to go in this area, Kaz's barbecue is definitely worth a stop.
