Pretty much the worst food and service I've had in a while. I'll definitely never eat here again.

Years ago, I visited this establishment and didn't have the best experience. Since it had been…read morequite some time, and because most of the recent reviews have been so positive, I decided to give it another try. I live out of state and met my son there for brunch, and I'm so glad we did. I really appreciated that the menu offers half-size portions of some of the platters, which is perfect for someone like me who doesn't have a huge appetite. I ordered the half-size Kitchen Sink skillet. There was a small upcharge for that particular skillet, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and this restaurant has definitely earned a spot among my favorite breakfast and brunch places in the area. Parking is plentiful, which is always a plus. The inside of the restaurant, although cozy, is a bit of a tight squeeze, though, and they seem especially busy on weekends. I'd recommend arriving early or being prepared for a wait.

I'll be honest I did not know what to expect when I walked in. I have seen places like this and…read morethe food is t that good. However this place is perfect. I love to cook and their omelet and hash browns were just as good as mine. I felt like I was literally eating what I normally cook lol. Great food, everything is made from scratch and is all fresh. If you like sweet tea they have real southern sweet tea that again I feel like I'm drinking my own lol. The service is great and the restaurant is clean and tidy. I know where I'm coming back the next time I have to spend the night here. Great job on everything. Please don't change anything.

I was super happy to see this coffee shop…read morewhile walking around downtown Morgantown, because I really needed a boost, and this place had what I was desperately in need of: caffeine! It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.
