Quiet with great coffee and exceptional baked goods. The Dakota bread is multi grain and wonderful. Highly recommend!

Really like this place--for sit down/eat in and for loaves of bread and cookies to go.

Sept, 2025. Tomaro's Bakery, in the Glen Elk section of Clarksburg, WV, is "West Virginia's oldest…read moreand finest Italian bread bakery", specializing in pepperoni rolls, breads, and other bakery goods. They've been in the same location for over 100 years (since 1914). Local friends regularly stop at Tomaro's for pepperoni rolls after church on Sunday mornings; we were the lucky recipients of a bag full during a recent visit to Clarksburg. You might ask, what exactly is a "pepperoni roll"? A West Virginia regional specialty, it's a soft white, yeast-leavened bread roll filled with pepperoni (sticks or slices), and sometimes cheese. These were originally created by Italian-American immigrants to be a portable, non-refrigerated lunch for coal-miners in the early 20th century. Tomaro's carries on the tradition, and their pepperoni rolls have been voted the best in Harrison County annually from 2018-2025. If you can't make it to Clarksburg, they also distribute the pepperoni rolls to some groceries, such as The Local Market in Morgantown. We recommend the pepperoni rolls from Tomaro's Bakery -- they're especially tasty when warm and fresh from the oven!

They need to put a best by date on their pepperoni rolls! The ones we got today were so dried out…read moreeven dipping them in something wouldn't help. We picked out the pepperoni and threw the bread away. What a waste of money, never had to do that with the original owners.
