Pulled Pork Platter
Raj S.

I love the hip vibe of this place! The music is terrific. They were out of the couple things I wanted, but this place is very popular. My pulled pork was good, I like the addition of the jalapeno and onions on the side. The sides were just ok. I didn't really love either of the two sauces either. Price was maybe a bit high, but portion size was big. It seems like hard to keep the tables clear, and the trash removed, but they do the best they can. I may go back, hopefully they have banana pudding next time.

Brisket BBQ nacho with avaocado cilantro crema.

I am glad to see a cool BBQ place move in where a great diner used to be. Pros: tasty brisket, with that perfect amount of fat, homemade sauces, and pretty good Mac and cheese. Friendly staff. Cons: only open Friday's thru Sundays. You have to buy bottles of soda or water, which are a bit expensive. The portions are a wee bit on the small side for the price but seems worth it. Summary: if you are driving down I-79 or staying at Stonewall Resort, this place is worth the stop! Pro tip: put the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce on your Mac and cheese. Oh yeah.

She is highly allergic to onions so please make sure there's no onions in the food we can't have salsa. They still proceeded to bring and still brought her food with onions in it. Her chicken was no flavor to it. She got a Cancun. I got a burrito Durango. None of them had flavor in it. They all had onions and everything in it. We asked very politely if they could be remade they told we asked to speak to a manager the waiter and ripped our food off the table and said take it off, so I went up there to explain that no one ate anything that I was not gonna pay for food that was not eaten the avocados they brought us was we was trying to we had jalapeños that was undercooked. We asked if they could cook them a little longer. They took them back and brought them back good amount of time for them cooking because they was completely black and burnt and then told us we hope we never come back and then proceeded to start cussing and threatening us so I do not recommend this atmosphere or service to anyone

Food- chicken tenders and fries- kids loved it and talked about it days later. Steak Hoagie- wife and I split as we weren't exceptionally hungry and glad we did. Coupled with a side of fries, the portions are great for one or to split Beer- I had two different IPAs - chasing daylight and another one (I don't remember and the website couldn't remind me). Both were different from each other but equally amazing. If you're in Morgantown or driving through, make the slight detour to this place. The Neon Gardens sours were the highlight of the flight. Both the Watermelon Prickly Pear and Pineapple Coconut were amazing. Our other two beer choices in the flight were solid too (Red Ale and Helles Lager). Typically cheesecake wouldn't be a go to choice with a flight of beer, but I'm not sad that we ordered it. It was so good! My only suggestion: I wish the sours were in four packs. I would have loved to have purchased some to take back to Northern Virginia to share with friends.

I have no complaints about the food. Service was extremely slow and there were very few people in the restaurant on both dinner occasions. We waited a considerable amount of time for our food and then for the check after. They also have a poor craft beer selection. I really wish it was better. Is there a way to get some local variety on tap?! UGH. Come for the food, not for the drinks.

We were pleased with our meals each time. Sitting at the bar was great as the bartenders were friendly and fun to chat with! This was especially nice since one of them was a fellow bourbon fan. I was surprised to see such a good selection of bourbon in a remote place as the Stonewall. Nice selection of local beer and craft cocktails also. We sampled several food items from the menu. The smoked nachos were loaded with toppings. THe Hog heaven pizza was unique with the combination of sauce, cheese, and pulled pork, but was a nice change to regular pizzas. The highlight (and ordered twice) was the Muski burger! This chuck, brisket, and short rib combined burger was cooked perfectly and was delicious! Kick back at the bar at TJ Muskies and enjoy the conversation, food and drink.

**Restaurant Review: El Rey, Bridgeport, WV**…read more El Rey in Bridgeport, WV, is the kind of place that sneaks up on you. Tucked away in a strip mall, it doesn't scream for attention, but once you step inside, the buzz of conversation and the scent of something sizzling on the grill hits you like a freight train. It's clear you're about to experience something real. I ordered the "Fajita Canada," and damn, what a plate. It arrives at your table like a scene from a movie--seafood and vegetables still crackling on the hot skillet, steam rising, the promise of a meal that's about to wreck your sense of what dinner should be. The seafood was fresh, plucked from wherever it could be found, and the vegetables had that crispness you only get from knowing your way around a flame. The flavors are bold, unapologetic, and honest--exactly what you want from a place like this. It's not about presentation or pretense; it's about the food and the people who make it. The service is no-nonsense, and the space feels like a refuge from the bland sameness you find in so many places these days. If you're in Bridgeport and looking for something that's more than just a meal, head to El Rey. Order the Fajita Canada. Let it take you somewhere far from the ordinary.
