There's also a price for teens. Mixed variety of people. There's a section in front that the driver opens up for someone on a wheelchair. Clean interior with moderate air conditioning. The driver I've encountered have been cordial though always with a serous look.

As the bus continues to fill, another common sight is that a fairly large percentage of folks seem to be reserving the double seats for their own use, either by sitting on the aisle side of the seat, or by sitting on the inner side but seeming to block the aisle side with their belongings. Either way, this appears to signal that they're not inviting others to sit next to them. And most seasoned passengers seem to read these behaviors for what they appear to be. Some remain standing even when there are otherwise open aisle seats, making it difficult for newly boarding passengers to navigate around them, especially when those standing choose to do so while blocking the exits. Speaking of "exits," many or most buses have the type of rear doors with yellow strips on both sides, with some version of "Touch Here to Open Door." They also include an image of an open hand - seeming to mean you use your palms to push the doors open. On newer buses with the sensors still working properly, often you can use one finger to press on either yellow strip and the doors will open. But apparently because of abuse over time, for some doors you may need to use some force to cause the mechanism to work. Many ignore the yellow strips and the instructions and just attempt to push the doors open - which sometimes doesn't work at all - and then they may yell to the driver, "Back door!" My suggestion is to first wait for the green light over the exit doors to come on, then use your finger(s) to press on one of the yellow strips, but to smoothly switch to using more force, while still focusing on the yellow strips, if the mechanism has been desensitized. It should almost never be necessary to ignore the yellow strips and push on the doors themselves.

Hi OPB... Can't thank your driver Jacob enough-for a great…read moreevening this past weekend! He drove seven of us "Grandma's Gone Wild" all in our 60's two of us celebrating birthday's and a Bridal Shower.. yup you heard that right! around the island! Jacob made sure we were comfortable and most importantly having fun! He gave us a treat and stopped on the side of the road somewhere near Haleiwa so we could take selfies with some horses that were grazing in the grass. Sounds funny but there were lots of horses. We were able to take more selfies along the way with beautiful ocean scenic views. Jacob knew just whee to go for that. Jacob is the best! We look forward to booking another special event in the future and will definitely tell others about OPB and Jacob! Thank you from all seven of us ladies.

An extra shout-out to our driver, Delson; he was an absolute gem. We rented the bus for four hours on a Saturday, and he was incredible at staying in touch and being exactly where we needed him throughout the night. He even circled back to multiple stops when a few people realized they'd left phones or purses on the bus. We didn't have a set route; everyone wrote down a bar, and we spun the wheel roulette-style, which made the night even more fun. We ended up extending the rental by another two hours and would've gone longer if road closures for the marathon hadn't cut us off. Highly recommend OPB and Delson for any group event! We will definitely be booking again.

Still our favorite hotel for our family staycation! We've been coming to Hilton Hawaiian Village…read morefor years and have stayed in just about every tower except one, and we've enjoyed each experience. We're not high-maintenance travelers--we simply appreciate the opportunity to spend quality time together, and every stay here creates lasting memories. One of our favorite conveniences is the ABC Stores on the property. They're reasonably priced and have surprisingly good sushi and poke bowls for a quick meal. This summer visit was noticeably busier than our fall stays. The pools were definitely crowded, and the village was packed with tourists. While people say tourism is down, that certainly wasn't our experience--it felt very lively throughout our stay. Instead of driving, we used Lyft to visit the Waikīkī International Market Place, which ended up being much cheaper than paying for parking and was well worth it. During this trip, we stayed in the Kalia Tower and loved our room's view overlooking the ocean, lagoon, harbor, and even the marketplace below. My husband also enjoyed using the fitness center. He mentioned it was busiest in the mornings and mid-afternoons, so evenings seemed like the best time to work out. One of the highlights of our stay was our daily feathered visitor--a pigeon that stopped by to greet us every day, which became a fun little tradition. Overall, we had another wonderful stay and made more great family memories. We're already looking forward to coming back again next year!
