Our dryer had broken the week before our daughter was heading back to college - terrible timing! All of our initial calls had at least a two week wait for a visit. Hart was able to be here in a few days and it was a great experience. Dan and team were awesome! Fair pricing and great customer service as they fixed it on the spot! He also took a look at a few other smaller appliance issues we were having and will be back to fix those as well. I will certainly be using them going forward and recommending them to everyone. Two visits from Hart Appliance so far for two separate issues. I was told 3-5 days to have replaced and now after 5 days another 7-10 for the part to come in! I hate to tell you Hart's but you can go in the Internet to order the exact part and have it ship the same day! In addition I needed to have them come look at my refrigerator for a loud noise coming from the freezer. Besides the repairman ROLLING his eyes at me and basically yelling at me because I turned off the unit, he told me he can't get a diagnostic. I asked if the alternative was to let the motor burn out? I really am not sure how these people are still in business and if I wasn't bound to use them through a realtor, I would NEVER call them! read more

Do you ever kick yourself for reading a Yelp review after you have a bad experience, instead of before you hire someone? Heads up! Though we have used them before successfully, Hart Appliance Repair seems to have a new MO. They come and look at your refrigerator and tell you that it needs a part. They take a 100 dollar deposit and then they never return your calls or come back. Hart was here on July 5. 18 days later...... crickets. read more

I only gave one star because I couldn't give zero. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. To spite having 3 separate appointments scheduled no one ever came out. The first appointment was rescheduled for snow- I totally understand. The second time they said they'd come out after 3, but passed me by after showing up at 2 (I was at work), the excuse I got was that no one wrote down I wouldn't be home until after 3. So I scheduled a 3rd appointment and no one ever showed up. I called three times, left two messages and never even got a call back. I guess they don't need my business. I was happy to find a much more professional company who fixed my dishwasher the next day. Skip over this business! read more

Never, ever, ever use these folks. While the woman who answers the phone seems nice enough, the repairman is rude and a flat out ripoff. After calling the woman about the repairman, she admitted he is a problem, but can't do anything about it. Plus they wanted to charge $160 in labor to install a dishwasher gasket. And they wanted $409 to replace the pump in our washer, and yet we were able to find a guy to fix that and replace our dryer heating element for $500. They got a $100 deposit out of me, but that will be the last of our money they ever see. read more

My washer leaked water on to the floor surrounding it. I called Hart based on a recommendation. Repairman came out when my son was home, ran the washer for 10 minutes, told him nothing was wrong with it, demanded $70 cash on the spot. Washer continues to leak, I find the source of the leak of myself, call Hart back to come out again and tell me if it can be repaired or must be replaced based on leak I found. They make me wait 3 days, call in the morning and set a 1-5 so I take a half day off work. No show. Basically these people stole $70 from me and cost me a half day's pay. And I get to buy a new washer now..... Edit: Just showed up at 5:04. Rude and unhelpful. Said they could replace my hoses if I wanted???? I asked them to leave. read more

Started off ok - called first thing in the morning and the technician came over before noon. Then things went down hill. I was told a part was needed for my dishwasher which would take 3 to 5 days. He wanted a $100 deposit for the part. I had to call on day 6 to follow up and part still did not arrive. After I made several more follow up calls, the technician came back about 2 weeks after the original service call. He worked on the dishwasher and claimed it was fixed(and I made the mistake of paying him in full,)but after he left and I tried to run the dishwasher myself, it was even worse than before. I tried calling the same night and then the following day. My calls were never returned. I am now out $250 and the dishwasher is still broken. I should have listened to the yelp reviews on this guy, they were right on target. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. read more

Replacement of electric stove burner control saved a lot of money and hassle compared to replacing the whole counter top unit. Work was professional, courteous, and timely. Sure they had to order the part, you can't expect them to drive around with thousands of parts for all brands ,models and types of appliances so if you need it repaired instantly you are out of luck. read more

Had to give 1 star because -0 was not a choice. STAY AWAY !! Crooks, the repairman came out and basically said nothing to me and was very rude !! said he would have to order a part for my freezer and charged me a deposit of $ 100.00 and said it would take 10 days to get it. Well that was almost a month ago. I ordered the same part and had it delivered in 3 days, I tried calling them and all we got was a message machine and no call back after leaving 9 messages. Total crooks and they stole our deposit so now we have to take them to small claims court. read more

He came to repair a drip where you get water. Cost almost $300 and in the process broke the ice maker. Repairman was surly and rude. I understand now I was vastly overcharged. AND i need another repair. Would not use them again. read more

Professional, responsive, neat and a pleasure to deal with, even had dog treats for my dog. It is so nice to know customer service and professional service providers still exist. Dan, owner and service provider responded to my call within 2 hours of my initial call. He quickly diagnosed and had the parts and my repair complete within an hour of his visit. Electrosucks refrigerator has been down for 2 full weeks now. We are a family of 5 living out of ice chests. Hart's arrived 13 days ago. Of course, they needed a part. (Did you ever notice that repair folks always drive around in trucks...but they never have anything that they need to fix something on those trucks?). Anyway, I had to pay $100.00 in advance for a part that would be here in 3 days. 10 days later, Hart's returned to replace new part. Yup...you guessed it....wrong part! No worries though....we'll over night it and it will be here Tuesday (the replacement job was a Saturday so no delivery on Sunday.) Fine...no problem. I'll take a half day at work and be here during the 1-5 window. 1:38 PM Tues at my home......Phone Call: "Yea Hi This is Hart's Appliance.......um the part is not in today so we will not be out. We'll call you tomorrow morning and get you on tomorrow's schedule." Oh...so I guess I just take ANOTHER vacation day as I wait and see if indeed someone will show up....with the right part......and actually install it.....and actually get the thing to work. Advice.....just buy a new appliance before calling them and living through this nonsense. read more

NEVER USE!! I echo all the sentiments of the other 1-star reviewers. I had almost identical experience. Dan the owner is a condescending jerk. He belittled me for being overly concerned about whether the part I needed would be ordered as soon as possible. Then, of course, Trudy in the shop never ordered it at all. It is now another Friday looking toward a weekend with no washing machine. Will have to take kids' laundry to a wash dry fold place. Have never been more furious. read more

We bought a new house and after running the first load of laundry the machine filled up with water and then stopped working. Our real estate agent was kind enough to contact a service company and even pay for it!!! Hart appliance came out a few days later and though the technician was rude... He diagnosed the problem as a faulty lid switch and replaced it for $189. It took him less than 15 minutes to complete the service. I wish the story ended there. We then started having the same problem approximately 2 months later however if we jiggled the machine it would start working. We then contacted the company to see if the repair was covered under a warranty. The woman I spoke with said yes there is a 3 month service and parts warranty and she can get someone to come out to fix it free of charge. Dan the owner came out a few days later and he was late however that was not the main problem. He was rude upon entering my home and I tried explaining the issue but he cut me off by saying I am familiar with the problem. In seven seconds he jiggled the machine and it started working. He stepped out from the laundry room and said I tried contacting the previous owner about payment of service and they said it is your problem. I explained that the previous owner has nothing to do with this and I was told the service was covered under warranty. He said the part is covered but the issue is with a different part now and he needs to be paid now! I asked him how he knew it wasn't the lid switch and if he does know the issue then what is it. He responded by saying well it can be a lot of things. My definition of this situation is called a scam. I couldn't believe that a company would want to set up a client with potential future referrals in such a manner. Quite frankly I am not sure how they are in business. I find it interesting that he tried to contact the previous owner and real estate agent regarding payment before he even stepped foot in my home. It leads me to believe that they were expecting to develop another issue that would not be covered under the warranty in order to receive another payment. read more

Hart Appliance Service is absolutely horrible. I called last Thursday because our washing machine was leaking. I explained I had an LG stacked washing machine in a laundry closet. They sent out a repairman on Saturday, who, upon opening the laundry closet exclaimed "SH*T!" Apparently, the person they sent out had a broken back. Even though, they were told the appliances were stacked. He looked at the washer, said he couldn't fix it and would have to order parts. They charged us $72 for the service call and said it would come off of the total price once they came back with the proper parts to repair the washer. On Monday, the woman who works at the desk told us it would take 7 days or more for them to get the proper parts from LG and we should probably deal with LG directly. We have left countless messages for them and they don't return calls. They also haven't answered the phone when we've called since Monday. If they knew they could not service an LG appliance, why did they send someone out to evaluate it in the first place? They sent out a repairman who couldn't do anything, never ordered the parts we needed and charged us $72 for all of this. I'm disgusted with this company and would absolutely never ever call them for anything again. read more

Similar to another review, I would give Zero Stars if possible. I've never in my life dealt with such incompetence from a company. The owner came this past tuesday for a service call on my refrigerator that wasn't cooling properly, said it needed a new evaporator fan motor, ordered it, and said it should be in in a few days and could fix it as soon as it came in, so Thursday or Friday. He said I would have to unplug the refrigerator the day before for it to defrost and that someone would call to tell me when the part was in so that I would turn off the unit then. All day Wednesday and Thursday go by, I don't hear from anyone, so I leave a message at 4:30 on Thursday, then again the next morning at 9 am. I get a call at 12:30, saying the part came in yesterday (thursday) and that he could fix it today if the unit had been defrosted, which obviously it wasn't because no one called to tell me the part was in. I was then offered a window of 11am-3pm for today (Saturday), which did not work for us, so I requested the morning and I was told she had just filled up all the morning appts. I was obviously unhappy because I received no phone call that the part was in, had left two voicemails, and wasn't called back until 12:30 on Friday. She said that she would try to shift some times around and call me back. I never received a call back :( So I called again at 4:30 pm, a different woman answered the phone, she said she was the answering service, but later told me she was the owner's wife. She said the other woman never put me in the schedule for today. She said she would talk to her husband when he got home and promised to call me back to tell me if he could come today and also told me not to unplug my refrigerator until I heard from her. Once again, did not call back :( After calling again all morning, I receive a call from the wife saying she forgot to call me back last night and that Dan (the owner) was on his way over now. I reminded her that she told me not to unplug the refrigerator until I heard from her last night and she says "I know, I forgot'. Well he gets to my house (I was not home), yells at my husband that clearly we can't follow directions, that we knew he was coming today and that he can't do anything with it because it was not defrosted. I really wish I would have read the yelp reviews before I called this company. read more
