I only bought three for immediate consumption, which was really two more than someone w a normal appetite should eat in a single sitting, but probably four fewer than I could have polished off in the span of five minutes. If pastries aren't your thing, you fail - but...they also have excellent looking breads - there were a few adorbs French families loading up on loaves - and they also have sandwiches. Prices are super reasonable - baguette for €2.5, slices of cake for the same, and I think all pasties for under €5. I know that it's a chain - but really excellent macarons. The Paris-Brest was gorgeous and full of hazel it flavor and a blend of textures. The Mont Blanc Caramel was also wonderful--just the right amount of sweet tempered by the slight bitterness of the caramel and chocolate. It was absolutely delicious (and also beautiful). I highly recommend a stop at Angelina if you are visiting Versailles. After feasting your eyes on the beauty of the palaces and grounds, it's only fair that your other senses get a turn.

The Bordeaux red on the menu was incredible. We had foie Gras appetizer, it was a beautiful slice with yellow fat, topped with grilled onions. We devoured it in minutes. We both had the steak, and the sauce with peppercorn was creamy and punchy. We dripped it all over the steak and fries. The fries are also made very well from fresh potatoes. I cannot recommend this place enough.
