Fast & friendly service, cash only. Order the Ghostbuster, it's SO good!!! It comes with a cute little Jell-O shot ghost!

Great slice of local life in a great bar. The juke box is filled with great songs and the bar is filled with great people! Was in town for the weekend, popped in for a beer or two around 5:00 and left at 1:00. Amazing staff, great prices and great drinks! Will drink here again!

Dusty little dive bar in the French Quarter bartending by a couple of old farts, but they're amazing dudes. The service was good. I liked how fast I got my drink even though it was quite busy. I don't think they had any food but if they did, I'm sure it's awesome. I look like they do live music in there. Maybe I think I saw a stage. I'm not sure I'm the worst sometimes but at least go in there and talk to the bartenders.

While in NOLA with my friends for our friends 40th, Harry's Corner became a kind of home base bar. It was recommended by a FB group for reasonably priced drinks. On the second night in NOLA this was also the rest stop place for our ghost tour which is where I discovered the "Ghostbuster", one of their signature cocktails that is topped with a boozy ghost shaped Jello-Jiggler. OBSESSED. I can't exactly place the cocktail...but it tastes like a Mai Tai meets a Pinâ Colada without being too sweet, but strong, refreshing and tropical. My friends and I kept going back to grab a drink to go, use the restrooms, take a load off before continuing on our way. On our last day there which was my besties bday, we met Paul. He made my friend a special birthday cocktail with a Candle in it and the whole bar sang happy birthday to her. It made her feel SO special. Paul was a doll and if I lived here, Harry's would be the spot I'd come to after a long day for a tasty drink without extortion. Be aware though, this is a cash only bar. An ATM IS located inside however. It's divey, it's vibey, it's affordable and the bartenders are not putting on airs with their kindness, humor and vibe. Every single bartender here we encountered in our numerous stops here were your neighborhood bar type of friendly, fun and ge This is the kind of bar you want to go to when you're not looking for pretentious tourist traps, where you can feel that sense of community even in a tourist heavy city. Go here. Get a Ghostbuster. Tell Paul we say hi and we'll be back!

Our ghost story tour took us here. Super fun bar for your hydration needs. FYI it's a cash bar. They have an old school music jukebox, which we fed, 3 songs for $1.00. As it relates to dive bars, this is a solid stop. #CHEERS

I am just not sure how to rate this place.......at first I thought that this is the place to go if you want to get away from the tourists....it's just a quiet place to watch ball games and drink. However in hindsight, hubby and I had two Bloody Mary's in rather small plastic cups. We think we were drugged with something like a date rape drug. We lost memory of our next 6-7 hours. Luckily for us we were staying with friends who live a few doors door from Harry's and they showed up and basically babysat us for the remainder of the day. I have my suspicions that the bar tender was working with some one else and we were targets for something bad to happen but I can't prove that. I only know that after drinking two Bloody Mary's I had memory loss for 8-10 hours and that has never happened to me before. I am no stranger to vodka and regularly have two martinis with no problem. Scary!!!!

We grabbed drinks in the lounge area while waiting for seats at the famous spinning carousel bar since seating is first come, first served. Around 11:20 PM, seats finally opened up and it was 100% worth the wait. The carousel bar itself is such a cool experience and something you have to do at least once when visiting New Orleans. Located inside the beautiful Hotel Monteleone, the atmosphere was amazing. Live band playing, classy but fun vibe, great energy, and the staff was attentive even with how busy it was. Every drink we ordered was excellent. This place is iconic for a reason and we'd absolutely come back again.

It had the perfect mix of sweet heat and flavor. Both drinks were so good we ended up ordering two rounds while sitting at the rotating bar listening to a live jazz band. Watching the bartenders work while slowly moving around the bar made the whole experience unique and entertaining. Definitely a must-visit spot in New Orleans.

On a previous trip we had seen an evening show at Snug Harbor and wanted to experience something else. We had read good things about the Spotted Cat and their sets run all afternoon. We were a little confused about price because one of our guidebooks said there is no cover but you're supposed to order drinks. There was a doorman who charged us something like $5 each (still cheap!) and we ordered beer and a N/A drink at the bar and listened to a great jazz group playing old-time jazz. Interior is tiny and you're pretty close to the performers. We were standing at first but eventually found some seats as people left. There is even a back courtyard if you want to be outside, although I don't know if you can hear the music or not. We bought a CD from the band and enjoyed it when we got back home. While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. However, I was going to be hopping on a meeting, so I could not partake, unfortunately. A group got this impressive tower of espresso martini and everyone seemed to be enjoying their drinks! I wanted that New Orleans seafood but had late lunch, so I opted for just the crispy gulf shrimp on cheesy grits. I really wished I can hungrier because the dish ended up being very heavy. The shrimp were nice and crispy. The charred Brussels sprouts gave me the false sense that this was a healthy dish because I was getting my veggie intake. The bacon jam was sweet and went well with the Brussels sprouts. I loved the combination of the cheesy grits and the Crystal hot sauce. It was the perfect amount of both and some how led me to understand why Americans put hot sauce on their Mac n cheese and some other cheesy dishes after 30 years of not really understanding the attraction to that combo. I got the marinated olives to go so I could have a little snack later. They were just stuff I feel I could get in a jar... not really sure if I could justify the price. I think this is a fine place if you're looking for a photogenic night out drinking with a group of friends. Could be really cute for brunch!
