I spoke with Tony on a Friday and he was able to fit me in on a Wednesday of the following week (Memorial Day weekend) and the car was completed early Thursday morning. Tony was extremely knowledgable going over each component and the steps they would take to install/repair while keeping my bottom line in mind. Tony even dissuaded me from respraying the front bumper cover (didn't need it anyway since the winglets would cover the small rock chips and the labor cost to dismantle and reinstall would be high) as well as not going the route of replacing/painting a totally new trim piece. I am ridiculously meticulous with my car and Coastal truly exceeded all my expectations especially on their workmanship, professionalism, communication and overall cost. I expected the job to be a lot more $$ for what they accomplished - the price was lower than the estimate. Tony is a straight shooter and his honesty and transparency is refreshing. I did not have any paint work or blending done but in my mind, I would not hesitate at all to return to Coastal for any of my vehicle's bodywork/painting or custom installation needs. While the vehicle was in their care, Greg backed it into another parked car, causing what appeared to be a minor dent. She initially did not want to file an insurance claim. After heavy rain shortly after, the car developed significant water intrusion in the rear. The dealership later confirmed body damage but advised the issue would be difficult to repair due to the water-related nature of the damage. Regardless of whether the water intrusion is ultimately determined to be related, the shop has refused to provide insurance information for the damage that occurred while the car was in their care, despite repeated requests from both my mother and her insurance company. The lack of transparency and accountability made this situation far more stressful than it should have been.

We also bought an older (but nice looking) RAV4 for our daughter as her first car probably 10 years ago from their lot, and she's still driving it with almost 300,000 miles on it. She gets it regularly maintained at this shop and it still looks good! I like going in there, they treat you almost as if you are their friend and it's a real personal touch like in the old days, Andy remembers my name --nobody does that anymore because most people don't seem to care, but they do and it feels good, if I'm being honest. I am surprised to see some people saying it is too expensive and I will probably concede that it is not the bargain basement of car places but neither is the professional level of expertise and what you get for the money. In talking to a coworker of mine in Hampton NH and one of my neighbors about some car issues, they go to the dealerships where they bought their cars and they paid a lot and both had problems with the work, my neighbor always gets a little bit of a rough reception at his car dealership in Peabody and they give him an argument about everything, but that has never been our experience here, not even a hint of any ill treatment, 100% the polar opposite. As I said, we have never felt we overpaid here and have always been satisfied with the repairs. It is hard to find a good mechanic that you trust, and Andy and his wife, who works there also but I believe only a few days a week, are real sweet people and they really love and respect their customers in my opinion.
