At the first visit I wasn't happy with the front desk girl. I was told that I would have to pay for dental X-rays again since the dental office did not provide sufficient pictures. I wasn't explained why and she just continued to tell me the price. I was a little bit in shock as the dentist office did take pictures. I contacted my dental office and they continued to explain that the X-ray taken was sufficient, but his office requires a full picture including the back of my son's mouth and they don't have the capability to take those pictures. Since he's a specialist (Dr. Esla) he would have the machines to take the proper pictures required to move forward with the extractions. The office is right by MSW. It's nicely decorated inside and it's a lot different than other Doctor's offices I've been to. The walls are painted black and it actually looks nice. Patient rooms are pretty big and the office is on the 2nd floor. All the staff we encountered was super friendly and everyone made my son feel comfortable. Prices were affordable and they offer payment arrangements if you need it. My son said his wisdom teeth extractions weren't painful because he didn't remember it. The process didn't take long at all. I came in at 8 and left about 9:30ish. This office is quiet, they look like they know their regulars. A few patients came in after us and the girls knew them by name so that seemed nice. I called them later after my son's appointment because I forgot to get a note for school and while I was on hold I learned a lot of new things about the doctor. He does a lot of other services to make Bakersfield's people beautiful. I thought that was neat. I would definitely recommend family and friends here. The office doesn't take long at all. They do not overbook and they treat the patients nice. The staff also seem happy which is nice to see. When the staff is happy, the patients seem to be happy too.

I called once more myself and was told she was with a patient. Despite multiple follow-ups, I've never received a response from her. I have been a patient for twenty years, and in the last month, I have had to reschedule two appointments due to long wait times (30 then 40 mins). Their most qualified and efficient hygienists have retired or moved on. The kiosk check-in system is also faulty and does not always go through to the front desk, so they think you're late or a no-show unless you speak to the receptionist. There is also now a host standing by the kiosks... why? I am disappointed because I pay for PPO just to continue going to CD. I vote for them for Bakersfield's Best every year. And I have referred all of my friends and family to them throughout these years. But I won't be doing that anymore. Will report back if things improve.
