I am truly impressed by Dr. Norris' professionalism. I needed an emergency extraction and I was able to get it done the same day I consulted. The procedure was fairly quick and PAINLESS. Thank you to all of the staff who assisted me during my visit. read more

Although Dr Norris is an adequate professional the organization amongst office staff could certainly use some work. From not having patient's x-rays for surgical procedures readily available in their files, to having surgical patients who have not eaten waiting upwards of four hours in their very small waiting room for procedures. Staff is very kind but certainly room for improvement. read more

Staff was great, minimal wait time and I really liked Dr Norris. She explained everything in detail and my procedure went well.

Her office people make you wait for ever just for a consult and charge a fee just to walk in this lady's office. By the time you get to see this person she's rude and inconsiderate like her staff. She'll straight rob you instead of working with your insurance. She might be good at her job when she's not treating everyone bad, but she's definitely a real greedy piece of work. No exam was done or anything and she just charged us to get treated bad. Definitely a shady place. read more

Worse experienced with dental surgeon and staff. I took my son to have 4 wisdom teeth removed and apparently he didn't need stitches, on our way home after the surgery he started bleeding a lot. I called the office 3 times and I was only instructed to apply tea bags and ice. The bleeding lasted 1 hr and I had to call an ambulance because my son feinted and had a seizure. read more

My 15 year old daughter had her four wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Norris. I had a lot of anxiety since that's my baybee and Dr. Norris was extremely professional, patient, and thorough during the consultation. The day of the procedure I was scared again lol...But everything was a pleasant experience. Her staff was great, had a great sense of humor, and called to check on both my daughter and I (lol) the evening of the procedure and informed me Dr. Norris could be reached after hours if something came up. My daughter was a bad patient and didn't take her antibiotics, or any pain meds, and was munchin on chicken the night of the procedure. All around great experience and outcome. I am extremely thankful! Thank you ladies!!! read more

Olena Norris, DDS - Thank you Dr. Norris and staff!! - Oral Surgeons Near Me - Bakersfield, California

I highly recommend coming to Olena Norris at Norris Oral and Facial Surgery. My dentist recommended me to go here due to needing my wisdom teeth and second molars extracted through surgery. Both her and her staff are so friendly and professional. I was able to get right in to do my surgery the next day after my consultation. Both Dr Norris and her assistant explained how the procedure would work and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The surgery went smoothly and quickly. Thankfully I didn't need any stitches and the teeth were all successfully extracted within a few minutes. They made sure to thoroughly explain the care that I would need to take over the next couple weeks with my teeth and I even received a call from her staff the next day to check up on how I was feeling and doing. They really went above and beyond to make sure that I had a comfortable and pleasant experience. I feel so much better with my teeth out now and I will definitely recommend anyone to go to Olena Norris! read more

Dr. Norris and her staff are amazing!! I went in for my wisdom teeth extraction and I did not feel anything I was extremely happy with my visit here. Very nice office and helpful staff. Highly recommend! read more

They don't pre authorize anesthesia with insurance and make you pay up front. In our case it was $280 for every 15 minutes. And they had us pay for 45 minutes before the surgery. Except that the survey was only 15 minutes. They also declined to pull one tooth because it would require a bone graft. But then they charged us $500 for it. They said our insurance will "figure it out" and reimburse us. They said it would take 8-10 weeks to resolve. read more

She is excellent Dr Norris with no doubt know exactly what needs to be done, gets it done!!!

I came here by recommendation from a co-worker for my extraction and implant surgery. Dr Norris was very informative and attentive during the consultation visit explaining all the steps of the procedure and answered all my questions. The day of the surgery went smoothly just as planned. I didn't need anything but local anesthesia and did just fine. Dr Norris was very quick and professional. I expected a lot of pain afterwards but it wasn't much, maybe 6/10 and I didn't even use the string narcotic medicine she prescribed me. Very happy with my experience in dr Norris's office and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. read more

Extremely rude lady in office claims our insurance isn't in their network even though our insurance says we are. They just don't want to accept us. Overheard her talking to other worker who confirmed our insurance was in their network. They just don't want to be bound by the contract rate. Pretty shady business practices read more

First put on hold for over 5 mins then husband in great pain and they could not get him in for 23 days. I don't know about you but I would not like to be in pain that long. read more

I was very anxious to get my wisdom teeth removed, since this would be my first surgery ever! I had two impacted wisdom teeth, so I chose to receive general anesthesia, and I fell asleep in 5-10 seconds. I woke up with a bunch of gauze in my mouth, but I didn't feel loopy like most people would assume. I was just a little out of it but I was still aware. It's been about a week post-op, and the holes are healing properly! I would definitely recommend Dr. Norris if you need your wisdom teeth removed. read more

I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted. I was genuinely nervous but both Dr. Norris and her staff were very caring and professional throughout the procedure. During the consultation, Dr. Norris explained what my procedure would consist of (treatment plan), and her team summarized my expense neatly. The day of my extraction, both her and her team were very reassuring. Also, the procedure took no more than 45 minutes; I was in and out. I highly recommend this place! read more

Truly a Godsent! On Sunday, I started having really severe tooth pain on my lower left side. Monday morning I went to my regular dentist, knowing there was an infection on a tooth that already had a root canal, and thought because of my past experiences with them that I would be able to get it fixed Monday or Tuesday. They shrugged me off with an antibiotic and said to come back in a week. I ended up in the Emergency Room that night due to extreme pain. I found an endodontist that was willing to re-do the Root Canal Tuesday morning. Things got better for about 2 hours after that and suddenly I was in more pain than I had ever felt in my entire life. My vision was going in and out and I ended up back in the ER. Not even novacaine and morphine put a dent in what I was feeling. I went back to the endodontist to just get the tooth pulled because of the agony and he told me "this pain will last about 5 days, but you need to just power through, because I am more concerned about saving your tooth than your wellbeing" but he gave me permission to go somewhere else to get it removed. At this point, I hadn't slept since Sunday, which is dangerous for me, so I called probably 30+ dentists/surgeons before someone was willing to get me in and I KNOW that I was not a fun patient to have in the office, I was panicked and trying not to scream because of my pain, but they got me in so quickly, sedated me, took the tooth out, and when I woke up, for the first time in 4 days I had a sense of relief and went home to sleep. I am happy to say I am at a normal amount of mouth-after-surgery-soreness today and would reccommend this office to anyone who asked where to go. Years ago I got my wisdom teeth out here as well, and that was a smooth surgery too! 11/10 would recommend. read more

Dr. Norris is a dental and facial surgery doctor. I have been in her care and working on an implant for several months. It's a long process. She has also pulled 2 teeth, one a wisdom tooth and one that is being replaced by the implant. Dr. Norris is very kind and responsive to the patient's needs which I so appreciate - having dental work done isn't my favorite activity. I recommend Dr. Norris as a very skilled and kind specialist. read more

This office was amazing! Fit me in today for an emergency extraction and had me done within an hour of being there. Definitely happy with my experience with the office. read more

Had 2 teeth extracted under General Anesthesia. Dr. Norris insisted at consultation that it would be a difficult removal and suggested I go with the General so I paid $ 650.00 to remove the two. The day I went in I was rushed into the chair, she (Dr.) started IV as assistant is hooking up leads. She (dr) tells me not to move but I can't help it with the assistant moving my limbs. Then , IV Is in and doctor says she is going to give me something to relax me. BAM! That's all I remember until I woke up in excruciating pain. 8/10 pain. I got to ask NO QUESTIONS, just put me out without reviewing anything. Then I had to get up and into a wheelchair to go home. The doctor had a waiting patient which was a gentlemen that went in right before me. Start to in my car 25 minutes! She (dr) doesn't believe in giving pain meds. I got 10 at first then when I got a dry socket she suggested more Motrin! Her office is full of Botox and makeup pamphlets. Perhaps I should have spent more money to be out of pain? Funny thing, she commented yesterday" you know I do have a FEW patients that DO have increased pain after these procedures". But she refused anything but Aleve. So if you need Botox or you have plenty of money for implants ( she tried to sell 2 to me ... 4K) then this is your dentist. read more
