This review is long overdue. My father was a professional musician from the days of Vaudeville…read morethroughout his life music was his passion. When he passed in 2018 my mom continued to keep his many varieties of woodwinds which had great professional value. She passed in late 2022 and I didn't want to place these pieces in an estate sale, that's when in found out about TB Winds. I called and Tony told me to bring in all the pieces which were (3) saxophones, clarinet plus a flute. He gave me a great education understanding each piece plus a price value range. This was a great help enabling me not to be taken advantage of when selling. He never charged me a dime even when I asked plus put me in contact with a potential buyer in NY. This worked out wonderfully since my dad went to Juilliard school of music as a kid. When I decided to part with dad's collection his contact/buyer bought everything in the financial range Tony estimated. He's was very honest which I appreciated.

I never had an instrument fixed here before and I NEVER will again. I dropped off my clarinet off…read morein late February. It had a crack that needed repair. I was given no details on what was being done to it/how it was fixed or how to know when it's ready to come pick up. After calling multiple times after multiple weeks, I finally went in store to ask about my instrument, since I received no other communication. When I asked about the status, the store owner told me to my face "Did you get an email? You'll get one when it's ready." This was never once told to me. After an additional week and a half of no notice, I called again, asking if they had even started on it. They had not. After FIVE WEEKS sitting in the shop, I was not once updated or told anything about the process! Then I get my instrument back from the shop, my mother brought it to me because I am away at college. When I get my clarinet back, the corks were replaced without my knowledge. I did not ask for them to be fixed and he did not tell me he would replace them. Additionally, my alternate Eb key is now bent out of place and wobbly so I will have to get that repaired-- by someone else. My instrument is worth well over $4,000 and I am a music performance student who needs it every single day for class. I would not recommend this store to fix any instruments if you care about your equipment.

He has fixed my cheap Squire fretless bass and commented that it was actually good sounding to his ears. He has also fixed a dear friend's 1950s Gibson acoustic and did an excellent Job on it. It sounds so incredibly better.. Aside that fair amount of serious repairs, he was very good about communicating extra things he discovered on this 70+ yr old horse that he asked if I wanted repaired and it was contingent upon the initial issue to be resolved that it needed to be done. Most car shops find things wrong to upsell you, but this is not the place for that. Be assured that after getting my bass, and forgot my 1st Guild he set a long while back is still a daily horse, perfect, then this prized Gibson now sounds majestic; I'm super happy with Gregory's knowledge and friendly savvy candor.
