Spent my 1st 6 months here and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff is so courteous and friendly. They never fail to greet me when we pass at the complex. Always ready and available to help if needed. Dropped my keys down the gap in elevator doors and they were able to provide me temp keys and fob until mine could be retrieved. The other tenants are so friendly as well. Holding doors and elevators. Small kind acts that mean a lot in these divisive times. My favorite part about Harrison is how pet friendly the place is. Tenants and staff are so accommodating and caring about each and every pet. I love this place and am so glad I live here. read more

I requested a vent clean for my dryer and the next day our wonderful maintenance guy, Richard, showed up and vacuumed out the vent getting all kinds of lint out. I love not being a homeowner and having to figure all this out myself. And while he was here he noticed our balcony and said he would be back soon to pressure wash it. Amazing! read more

I deeply regret signing a lease at Harrison Tower (222 SW Harrison). On paper, it looks great but the reality is frustrating and costly. Most amenities are either broken or unreliable: the golf simulator was out of order for 10 of my 12 months, and the pool table is uneven and unusable. You'll pay $175/month for garage parking only to deal with multiple break-ins. There are three elevators for a 25-story building, but good luck finding two working at once. The front office management is unprofessional particularly a staff member who repeatedly questioned if I lived there, yet acts overly friendly during tours to sell the illusion. The model unit shown during tours is pristine, but once you move in, your unit will be inspected constantly and appliances will start failing dishwasher, toilet, lights, you name it. Worst of all, they will hit you with thousands in bogus move-out charges, like replacing 11-month-old carpet with a 5-year lifespan. Please read the reviews and avoid this place. Living here has been one of my biggest regrets. read more

I have been living in the Harrison Towers since July 2024. I am enjoying my time here. The staff are honestly top notch. Sky is always amazing to work and chat with. She's responsive and always seems genuinely happy to help. Her kindness on the tour of the building and views are what sold me. Rebecca has also been kind and awesome to work with since her arrival. The whole office staff has been. Richard and Michael are always willing to go the extra mile. Richard takes pride in his work and really makes each resident feel important and valued. The entire maintenance team are fantastic. I love my apartment, double balcony, and the views! It's been great for the soul. If my apartment had a washer and dryer I would probably stay forever. The laundry room is great though, always clean, well maintained, and residents so far have all been pretty respectful. Love the pool and hot tub. Sauna is nice, especially this time of year. I don't often use the other rooms, but when I have they are clean and maintained. read more

They have 26 floors in each building with only one locker between them that barely holds enough packages for one floor. I don't want strangers walking around in my building for what seems like hours at a time. For what we pay we deserve a mail system that protects our packages and our residents! read more

I've lived at Harrison Tower for more than 10 years and throughout that time the staff has always been great, even though sometimes the players change. The current service team of Michael, Richard and Bryan are just fantastic! I've really only ever had minor issues inside my unit, and they've always fixed it so quickly and so well. I also use the gym and sauna nearly every day, and whenever I see something that needs a tweak, I just mention it to them and it gets fixed or updated or whatever is needed. I just wanted to thank the Harrison Tower management team (Sean, Tim and Sky) and the maintenance technicians (Richard, Michael and Michael) for trying to help me resolve an issue I've had in my unit since I moved in about a month ago. It isn't resolved yet, or I'd have five stars here, but I remain hopeful, and I've been very thankful for the support I've gotten from both management and maintenance so far. While working to try to address the problem at its source (another unit), the team here also has gone to lengths inside my apartment to see if there might be a way to improve things for me in the nearer term. Sean and Richard each have made several visits to my apartment over the course of the past month to try to help, and both Michaels also have visited to help with troubleshooting. Sky, Tim and Sean all have been so empathetic by email and in person, too, as I've communicated with them (frequently) and been in touch about what's helped and what has not. The staff here have all been fantastic since the day I moved in, and I'm very grateful. I hope we're making some progress on the issue, because I like my unit otherwise. The location is great, the neighbors I have met are friendly, the apartment is cozy, and the views are so beautiful. I'll try to update this review once more time has passed, as well. read more

Looking for a temporary place to stay from hundreds of miles away in a big city with a plethora of options can be daunting at best. They took the time to explain every detail what Harrison towers offered with no hidden surprises and provide you with all the info for possible furniture rentals, power, internet, etc. one stop shop with personal attention. Very responsive to emails or phone calls. The apartment was modern, clean and the best view one could ask for. Any maintenance issues are addressed quickly. Plenty of eateries surround the towers, minutes from the water front and mass transit out the front door. Within 7 blocks of pioneer square and PSU is within a few minutes. You can't go wrong for location. If your looking for a place in Portland, give Elle or Caitlyn a call before looking elsewhere. read more

Spacious floor plans and amazing views of the city. Air conditioning inside the unit is a welcome addition to the hot summer days in Portland. The open floor plan lets you get creative on decorating and gives it a spacious feel. The bedrooms and bathroom are located down a hallway away from the main living area, great for entertaining with little ones. The apartments stay relatively cool and quiet, thanks to the concrete and rebar insulation. Exciting features: The personal sauna in the pool house is a welcome addition to the resident amenities. The pool and year round jacuzzi, is routinely staffed to ensure it stays for the residents only. Cons: The elevator ride can feel a bit slow everyday when living on the upper floors. It is a great way to meet your neighbors though. Maintenance requests can strech out over a few weeks sadly. Moving in, poses a little bit of a burden with logistics as they give you a service elevator to an underground tunnel then another service elevator to your apartment with narrow hallways. The detached garage can pose problematic in the winter or after hours. read more

Ok so Big Mike knocked on the door to drop something off - I said hey you got a minute and of course he did because the night before I had turned the oven on and the dashboard collapsed into the stovetop. He fixed it - just like that. McGwyvered it and no problems. That's the thing - the staff here does EVERYTHING for you to make your life easier. The best apartments in Portland? I've lived at 4 different apartment complexes and this was definitely the best. Harrison Tower has almost all of the amenities you could dream of (except mine didn't have washer/dryer in unit). Pool, hot tub, gym, sauna, golf simulator, pool table, shuffleboard table, lounge, dog washing station. I used all of them and really loved going to the pool/hot tub every week. The pool is heated so it's open longer than other apartments with pools. The location is great, right near the streetcar and bus stop. Also very close to several Max stops. The homeless didn't really lurk around Harrison like they do other buildings, it felt pretty safe. Jillian, Elle, and Kaitlyn were all very friendly and helpful! Tina and Richard also did a fantastic job any time I had a maintenance request. I did have a major maintenance issue while living here, but the entire staff did a great job dealing with it ASAP. The noise isn't too bad. Occasionally heard my neighbors door slam, elevators moving, and the street noise (I was on a lower level facing Harrison Street). Compared to the average apartment complex in Portland, I'd say Harrison is quiet. Overall I would definitely recommend living here! read more

I called the emergency number to get this fixed and Mike called immediately to get more information. He told me his ETA and was at the door when he said he would be. He did everything he could to get this taken care of quickly and he didn't leave a mess! He's a complete professional, good at his job and sets expectations from the beginning. This is an updated review regarding the smoke smell in the apartment. Management notified tenants of room inspections due to the increase in complaints and since then it hasn't smelled bad for the past month or two. I'm incredibly grateful! Management is always really nice and if there are any issues with the apartment they send someone up to fix it within a day or two. read more

Sitting in my quiet apartment this early fall morning, with my gorgeous view of the West Hills and the very faint sounds of a marching band nearby at PSU, I felt compelled to write another review of this building. I'm coming up on a year of residence here, and I am really enjoying my apartment and the neighborhood and am feeling glad that I just renewed my lease for another year. The staff is truly fantastic and has helped me to resolve anything that has come up--including, most recently, when I locked my keys in my car and needed Sky's help getting into my apartment to get my spare set. (I was so grateful!) Really, all the maintenance staff and managers have gone above and beyond for me and have made it clear they care about their tenants. read more

Recently moved into Harrison Towers and it has been a great experience! Moving in was super easy. The view from my home is amazing, perfect view of MT Hood and the river. The CVS across the street is also super convenient. The team that manages the community is fantastic, they are super nice, commutative, and maintenance is fantastic. Lived here for two years and the staff was one of the best teams managing and taking care of apartments in Portland. The apartment building is a bit old and it definitely shows its age, but overall a nice place to live for the cost. Maintenance will respond to your work orders the very day you put in a request, but their work is often slightly above amateur and shoddy at best. Overall, my experience was really really great... My only caveat is the move-out. I spent three days meticulously cleaning every crevice of my apartment, but still got nailed for over half of my deposit ($500), claiming they had to 'clean' it thoroughly. My advice when moving out: take pictures when you move in and out and request to be there for the move-out inspection. Like I said, Harrison Tower is an AMAZING place to live and the management team is one of the best in Portland. They really care about you as a member of the community. read more

Any Sequoia property I have ever lived at has been an amazing experience. They seem to only hire amazing staff and that's exactly the kind of people that work here. Caitlyn and Elle are so helpful and made the transition over to the new apartment seamless. Any repair I have ever needed was taken care of within the day. This property offers a dog wash, pool table, shuffle board, swimming pool, sauna, on-site laundry, bbq grill, free coffee, and even an indoor driving range for golf ( like seriously right?). I always will try to stay with Sequoia for the amenities, but I really stay for the amazing people that run it. read more

We love it here! My husband and I have been serial movers but the wonderful people and the amazing views have kept us here for several years now. Richard, Mike, and Tina from the maintenance crew are quick to respond to issues and are so professional. When we reported that our lock was getting a little sticky, Mike and Richard came up to fix it right away. The leasing and management team are incredibly friendly in a truly genuine, thoughtful way. Jillian, Elle, Caitlyn, and everyone in the office are so quick to answer questions and send out relevant, important info to residents regularly. The people who live here are kind and accommodating; we've been here for a few years now and we've yet to encounter anyone even approaching grumpy. About the amenities: We love that the office is open every day; it is so easy to drop in with a question or pick up packages/mail after a longer vacation. The Luxer One Package lockers in the building are convenient and accessible 24/7. The pet wash station in the basement makes our dog's bathtime much easier, plus being able to do a quick rinse after a rainy/muddy walk has been amazing. The hot tub is open year-round and is so much fun to use when it snows. One improvement might be a ramp or other ADA accessible entrance to the building in addition to the stairs. About the units: The concrete walls in the apartments keep much of the noise out from neighbors or outside. There have been several small children and dogs that have lived on our floor over the years but we've had zero noise issues because of the concrete walls. The bathrooms are smaller than other apartments we looked at, but the kitchen and living room were way, way more spacious and we spend more time in those anyway :) The balcony is bigger than most of the other apartments we saw as well (if they had any at all) and we tend to eat dinner there in the summer. The unit has a laminate flooring that looks like wood, so it is easier to care for and looks really nice. I wish the whole unit had that instead of the carpet! The smoke detector can be very sensitive... About the surrounding area: The neighborhood is quiet but still lively. There's always someone walking their dog or enjoying the food carts nearby or relaxing in the parks next door. There is a ton of tree cover and greenery to sit under in the summer. In the winter, there's still a lot of greenery from grass and shrubs and such, and the bare trees let in a lot of light. The crew at Harrison Tower take great care of the area immediately surrounding the buildings and their work has a positive impact on how others treat the space as well. The streetcar stops right outside the building, making getting around the city super easy. A lot of times we'll walk to Safeway (15 minute walk) for groceries and take the streetcar back (10 minute ride). When we were first looking for an apartment downtown we had narrowed down our choices to Harrison and a place in the Pearl District, and we definitely hit the jackpot with the building, the location, and especially the people! read more

The location and staff are great and I have an amazing view in a wonderful, clean building.They consistently go above and beyond when I ask them for anything. If there is ever a maintenance issue it is immediately taken care of. I've lived in other buildings in downtown and other parts of Portland, and never have I had such a good experience. Joshua was always professional but, ever since Nichole came aboard staff, there's an added warmth that's been added to the HTA community. We've only been living in Harrison Tower for 2 months now, but from the moment we got here we knew we were in the right place. There are SO many things going for this place: LOCATION- South edge of downtown, streetcar and buses literally right outside the door with the MAX just 2 blocks away, a few blocks from the riverfront, walk to just about anywhere you want to be in minutes. UNIT ITSELF- an unbelievable amount of light from floor to ceiling windows which are incredibly well insulated to temperature and sound from outside, a large balcony, central air conditioning, a spacious and well-appointed kitchen, solid, concrete construction so you rarely even realize you have neighbors let alone hear them, and even though we're in one of the "not-so-recently-renovated" units, the floors and fixtures are beautiful. VIEW- it's a high-rise, so unless you're on one of the very bottom floors, the scenery is wonderful. Sunrise, the river and bridges, and Mt Hood on one side; Sunset, the West Hills, and the lights of downtown on the other. PET FRIENDLY- dogwash in the basement with free-to-use towels and dog treats, not to mention the "Pet of the Month" featured in the elevator. LAUNDRY- yes, it's in the basement, but come on- it's huge, clean, has vending machines for people treats, 10 washers and 12 dryers, drop-off dry cleaning service available, it's open 24-7, and it's just an elevator ride away, so not having the machines in-unit is really no sacrifice. AMENITIES- Virtual Golf, Pool table, Shuffleboard table, a couple of lounges, Pool, Hot Tub and Sauna, and some others I can't even remember. STORAGE- generous-sized storage units available in the basement for a very small fee. BUILDING SERVICES- professional, responsive, quick maintenance for in-unit issues, and there is also constant care (cleaning, general grounds maintenance) for the building as a whole as well. Christopher and Michael go above and beyond. MANAGEMENT STAFF- Nichole, Lisa, and Jillian are fantastic, customer service is truly extraordinary, they call to follow-up after any maintenance issue, and they make us feel completely comfortable and at home in this building. She is a joy to communicate with and just does a most excellent job. Our bathroom paper holder was loose & the solution was a new holder- that was installed within a few days of my service request- even though the holder had to be ordered. Superficially nice managers who know little and poorly manage. The building is dirty, elevators always broken and people stranded on upper floors or in the elevator. One person to clean the entire places cannot keep it going properly. Recently raised parking to $160/month and apartments by $300-350/month. Inadequate hot water to take showers....but, if you like showering/bathing in tepid water all year, this is for you! Also noisey ; poor notification and management/maintenance response to emergency situations like water shut off, elevator problems. Otherwise, views and patios are great. read more

*Poor quality appliances. My oven couldn't even cook a frozen pizza. I also had issues with microwave and dishwasher. *When you move out, expect to lose your deposit AND be charged for normal wear and tear. The bathtub was already in desperate need of refinishing when I left. Apparently, when the cleaners removed my non slip pad in the shower, they damaged the tub and CHARGED ME FOR THE ENTIRE JOB. *One of the two story units appears to be a drug house. I've seen many shady characters come in & out. Recently, about 5 policemen carrying rifles approached the unit but the woman refused to open the door. Guess they didn't have a warrant (yet). *The stairs always smell like urine, so take the elevators. A homeless man lives in the stairs by the parking garage so use that elevator too. Otherwise, the stench (mixture of human smells and rotting food) will be waiting for you. He had a whole package of moldy cupcakes the one time I tried to take the stairs. And it was the worst smell I've ever encountered in my life. It still haunts me. read more

MOVE HERE!! This apartment building is the best in Portland. From the amazing staff, especially Jillian and Michael, to the incredible units with spectacular views, to the unbelievable access to the city of Portland. Moving here was the best decision we ever made. We felt a part of the city, but removed from the hustle and bustle when it came to the evenings. It's a 15 minute walk to Pioneer Square and has incredible highway access all around. If I hadn't taken a job out of the state, we never EVER would have left Harrison. This is without a doubt the best place we have ever lived. If and when we move back to Portland, you can guarantee we will be moving back here. I can't recommend HTA enough. Before moving to Portland, I checked several places before I moved to Portland but I didn't want to live anywhere but here. I've lived in many places and I have never met a team as friendly, attentive, and responsive as the office team here. Lisa, Jillian, Nichole and Jason are awesome. This is the WORST place I have ever lived. Horrible pest infestation upon move-in that the management company completely ignored. The staff are impolite, neighbors are lewd and extremely loud not just on weekends but every night of the week until 5 am. Maintenance enters apartments without warning, stumbling into your bedroom at all hours with lame excuses, yet refuses to address issues during appropriate timeframe. Management scheduled a leaf blower to arrive several times a week at 8 am, despite a profound lack of leaves during winter and spring. The laundry facilities, at first glance, seem nice, except for the buckets of hair, fur, slime, etc that a few people leave in all of the machines. Some residents like to put their dirty clothes in your loads of clean washing or tear any items they can get their grubby paws on, while others take their anger out by slamming doors or yelling obnoxiously odious comments in the hallway. If you like sexist, racist communities of discrimination, catcalls, and sound torture, this is your place. "Luxury," indeed, hahaha. read more

I have been living at this place for more than two month now. It is a great place and I am happy with almost everything. It is centrally located, so I am close to everything I need. The staff are very friendly and responsive. I have always interacted with Lisa and Nicole and they respond to every request I have very fast. It is a quite and smoke free place. The only issue that I have is that I would have preferred to have washing machines in my own apartment rather than in the basement. Apart from that I love this place. read more

I have lived here for almost 3 years. I moved in "temporarily," but the convenience to my office downtown has resulted in me renting out my house in Beaverton, and living here. For the most part it is a very pleasant place to reside; occasionally, college-age tenants make the atmosphere more "lively" than necessary, but like most plagues, they soon move on. The facilities and common areas are very well maintained. (The HTA folks are always working to clean-up the detritus of the "lively" residents mentioned above.) Very nice meeting room (I have hosted work meetings there--it's that nice), and the work-out room and saunas are an added bonus. I have had the occasional frustration with the serial urinators that seem to come out at night and mark their territory near the door to the garage, but even there, the "clean up crew" is always on the job. So, yes, I have some frustrations, but those are part of the urban experience. The attentive reader will notice, however, that the outstanding staff at HTA negates the negatives i have mentioned, and places the experience of living here squarely in the "plus" column. If the folks at HTA were not as wonderful and attentive, I would have stuck to my "temporary" status long ago. Of the amenities, Lisa, Jillian, Nichole, Chris, Tim, et al. are the best reasons to live here. read more
