Beverly is the most professional and kind person I've ever met in a medical/ dental setting. 'Not going to gush, because that would undermine the realty. If it is not Beverly you first encounter, the front office treats you like a friend they've known for a very long time even if you're walking in for the first time; the listening skills, the eye contact, it straight up puts one at ease. It is no news that going to the dentist is not on anyone's list of "fun free time" endeavors. Being put at ease is important to me after a lifetime of dental maladies. Dr. Steve Morrison is an excellent communicator- if he has to tell you what you don't want to hear- it is served up in a compassionate, compelling, and direct way. He is also quite efficient. They play sattelite radio in the office. The Dr. sings quietly while he works. He has a nice voice, but terrible phrasing. ( 'Small jab to keep this light.) My mother has never thrown around compliments at me, but the last time I was home, she told me my teeth looked gorgeous. I'm good with that.

Even after you tell them several times you can not do another time, the texts and calls continue to be relentless. As for Dr. Bidabadi, be warned! She will push every single product on you, like mouth guards, whitening, Invisalign (which for her is only cosmetic, NOT corrective). God forbid if you need additional service's because she'll send you to her friends (who can be out of network). All of this will cost you tons of money. The worst insult is that she barely spends time you with if you are of a lower income (I had witnessed this on several occasions, as she has all the time in the world for her rich male clients whereas someone like myself might get five minutes). She has insulted and been rude to me many times simply for wanting clarification on issues and procedures. Aren't clients allowed to ask questions if they have concerns without being intimidated? Was going to suggest a family member but decided that it wouldn't be the right thing to do. Now with the new Dental Law of 2024, I have a feeling she is going to feel the pinch on this one. I don't think I'll ever return. There is nothing soft about the place but they will find every way to milk you for your money. Believe it!

They refused to look into my insurance to see if it would even be covered. They wouldn't let me leave until I paid it. I asked them to call my dad and they wouldn't. I have insurance. They told me to use my credit card, but I am in college and only work part time. I just switched here and have never been forced to pay on the spot like that. When I asked what I was paying for the receptionist laughed at me and got a woman to explain it to me but she didn't explain anything, only made me more confused. My parents were horrified they made me pay for a fee without telling me why. I have already made plans to switch dentists. The new dentist was just as confused by this as I am. Hopefully they process my refund soon.

I Went to Lisa Cusson last year, it was one of the most horrible experience's of my life…read more I Originally had a dentist before coming to this facility but I was not living in that area anymore and my Insurance pointed me to this Dentists office. I went in for my regular standard first time meeting cleaning and everything seemed ok even though i had to wait about half an hour after my scheduled time to get in. I was told to come back as I needed some fillings to be done in my mouth. A month Later I came in and I had to wait again a little longer than the schedule time. Finally got taken into the room for the procedure. Lisa worked on 4 fillings taking exactly 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete. I felt that was way to long for 4 fillings and during the work she was doing she commented " Oh Sh*$ " Not sure if it was shoot or what not but it was obviously an issue because i felt something wrong happening in my mouth. A cracked tooth perhaps?. Yup during a filling to one tooth she cracked another one I didn't realize till later. So now i have a small gap in between my teeth that gets all kinds of things stuck in it when i eat. After the Fillings were finally done, she kept asking me if my mouth felt ok, It was ok because Of all the stuff in the needle you shot into me, I couldn't feel anything, shouldn't she know that? I went home and after whatever she gave me to numb my mouth for the fillings wore off. I was in a huge amount of pain! I called her emergency help line as the place is only open like 3-4 days a week. She told me she thought it was a tooth that needed to be pulled. WHAT??? She put a filling on a tooth she knew needed to be pulled? Later charging me for it. She put me threw to another Doctor, who i Saw but was not a tooth doctor but a Gums doctor. He said he thought it was my gums not the tooth. So he called Lisa and had words with her over the phone that sounded behind the muffled door not to good. Afterwords he just sent me on my way. Still in pain but with a prescription. (It was not my gums) Over the coarse of the next 3 WEEKS!~~! I had massive amounts of pain the only thing i could do was take cold water which i always had in my cup in my hand and I had to drink it ever few seconds. I did not sleep the entire 3 weeks either!!! I saw 4 different dentists and they refused to touch my tooth because of what she did to it, I kept hearing legally they cant touch her work. All the prescriptions I took did absolutely nothing. In the end I found someone that would pull it and was very nice to me, who i wont mention because this person knows Lisa and is not a fan of her work. The tooth that was pulled they said had been drilled into to the root and it had rot in it, she decided to pull a filling touching the root and the rot (and knew it needed to be pulled). The pain I can tell you was so bad, I never wish anyone to go threw this. This was complete Malpractice! I could not work at all for a month because of this Woman and this establishment, I lost a Months Pay, and could not get any doctor to sign my paperwork saying why I was out. My workplace did take me back but it took alot of convincing. Remember to keep all your records of everything you do, this might save you to one day. The other day within a year of being serviced by this place, My Filling on one of my teeth came out. A filling which is supposed to last 5-15 years didn't last even a year. So now im off to get that fixed by my new Dentist..... ridiculous. I try not to hate anyone, I really do. But I hope this place goes under, and Karma please take you. It was the worst experience of pain of my life I can definitely tell you that. Lisa was not the only person that was in on this. The other people that worked there seemed not to care at all about what happened. The woman that does the paperwork who I had to talk to just gave me the run around, trying to get me to just go away basically. I have recently gone through chemotherapy and I was skeptical of having my mouth worked on. The hygienist was extremely understanding and thorough being very careful not to hurt me. The office is very aware of Covid issues and I felt very comfortable being there knowing they were taking every precautionary measure they could to keep the patients safe! Haidi, the employee who takes phone calls and works the front desk, is extremely rude, snarky,…read moreshort, and greedy. She constantly cuts me off and gives replies like "okay" and "bye." It is good dental practice to let patients know beforehand what the cost will be. However, Haidi does not give you any information beforehand and will try to overcharge you. You will not know that you are overcharged until your insurance claims come back; then, she will refuse to refund you. My total for root canal and crown was about $2400. I chose to get the root canal done, but not the crown, as I have warranty with my dentist back home. However, I had already paid a portion for the crown (root canal was about $300 total since it was covered by insurance, crown was about $2100 since it was not, I had paid $782 so far total). I asked for a refund for the crown because I cancelled my appointments and did not want it done here anymore. Haidi refused the refund, saying the doctor has already looked at my tooth and I "spent time in his chair." Haidi is constantly arguing with customers and putting them down. She makes them feel stupid for not understanding the insurance fully and asking questions about what they have to pay. She does not explain the pricing well, even though detailing the pricing/coding is literally her job. She also tries to get you to open a credit card and put your entire bill, including FUTURE costs, on there. I believe it is because she wants your entire bill to effectively go through the credit card company, instead of Great Woods Family Dentistry, so you would have no way to get the money you paid back. She wants to avoid situations like mine where the service was not rendered, but the customer wants a refund. I would stay away at all costs. Although Dr. Mistikawi is friendly and wants the best for you, dealing with Haidi in any shape, way, or form will make you want to pull your hair out.

Helen sent me a follow up email reiterating that I was entirely at fault and would not be reimbursed for their misleading mistake. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone based on their deceptive practice of attempting to gain clients by not being upfront about costs. It left me with an icky feeling and sadness that although this is a small town, there are businesses here that would remain successful despite operating in such a dishonest manner.
