I have to say I'm really happy with the dental care I received and the staff at ACE Dental. The hygienist I work with is wonderful, she's very personable and makes being at the dentist seem not so bad. I had to wait to have a procedure done but they didn't have an opening for months. But I was added to the waitlist if another patient cancels their appointment. They didn't call me several times prior to today but I had to wait for my new dental benefit to be effective. read more

Wow, such a good experience. First time there. Everyone was super friendly. I was greeted quickly and seen quickly. It was a really, really clean, tidy space. I even got a little "goodie" mug when I left - a mug filled w/ toothbrush, toothpaste, and lots of other little items you don't always get at other places. Just a nice, extra touch. Their customer service, basically, is next-level. My only gripe is that there's a scent in the waiting area which, for me, was quite strong. It was a nice, "manly" scent but I'm sensory sensitive and I did not appreciate it, especially in a medical clinic. Despite that, I will definitely be going back. read more

Hands down the BEST dentist I've ever been to. I came in with a neglected tooth that was missing it's crown and within a few hours, Dr. Kim, Erin, Harrison and the front desk crew helped take care of the issue and I got a cleaning, as well. All of their equipment and protocols are top notch. Everyone once and a while someone will say something that doesn't make any sense, but don't worry! I was referred to this gem by a friend and im soo glad i was!! I came in for a cleaning and consultation for some cosmetic work. First of let me say the office was clean and felt extremely homely! I was greeted at the front by the Lyndsey the patient coordinator who was professional, kind and welcoming! I was then seen by the expert hygienist Shaina who not only assisted me with a cleaning but also gave me tips and advice to go home with that i will most certainly be using! On to Dr.kim, when i first sat down for the consultation he was extremely attentive and accommodating down to asking me which type of music i prefer :) he was extremely knowledgeable and observant and came up with a treatment plan that i trust and am super excited about! Lastly i was seen by Joanne the lead dental asst who booked my future appointments! She explained to me cost and quotes! She was efficient and broke all the dental terms down from my treatment plan so that it was digestible!! Over all i am so glad i became a new patient and im remarkably satisfied. This is mine and my partners first experience at this Dentist office today and it was an amazing experience. I have been going to a dentist in Cambridge for the past two years and was getting different opinions on my dental plan. I don't know where to start with how amazing everyone at this practice is! From the moment you enter the door, there is staff there to make you feel comfortable and to help your visit go as smooth as possible. They are extremely accommodating of your schedule and their hours work for anyone who can't make an appt during regular work hours. I hadn't been to the dentist in years so I was scared about the condition of my teeth, but they made every moment feel comfortable and made me feel at ease. They even try and get to know their patients, which is extremely nice and makes you feel cared for. I don't write reviews very often but I'm telling you, they deserve it! I'm the type of person who puts off going to the dentist.. I was having some tooth pain and had just moved back to MA at the end of last year due to being laid off from COVID, so I had to find a new dentist and decided it was time. From the moment I called to make the appointment and spoke to Lyndsey on the phone, I KNEW I was in good hands. She was so sweet and wanted to make sure I got the best appointment time for me and wouldn't be rushed at all. She even called a few people who hadn't confirmed to make sure I could get a time slot that worked. When I came in for my appointment a few days later I met her in person and she was just as warm and welcoming as she had been over the phone! Erin was my hygienist and she was fabulous! She listened carefully to my "dental history" and concerns related to TMJ and took very good care of me. She was incredibly thorough but also didn't tear my mouth apart (even though I could definitely floss more).. basically, she rocked! Dr. Kim was also very personable and spent time welcoming me as a new patient before getting down to business. He took the time to learn about me and my concerns and made sure I felt comfortable and confident with the results of the visit. From start to finish, great experience, and not many people can say that about visiting the dentist! I had put off seeing a dentist for *insert horrifying number here* years because I've had a longstanding phobia of dentists and dentistry in general. Not to mention, all the times I've went, the dentist didn't seem to care that I was scared out of my mind and didn't understand where I was coming from at all. I've always known I've needed to go get checked out, but was waiting to find a practice that could handle someone like me. There was a practice in the Boston area that I had my eyes on for a long time that operates similarly to Ace, but their waiting list got so long that they just stopped taking new patients altogether. Enter Ace Dental. I swallowed my pride and made an initial appointment, and let me tell you - I had a great experience from the moment that Dr. Kim himself answered the phone. He actually set up my initial appointment since he happened to be by the phone, and I was able to relay my anxiety to him right then and there. I told him it had been awhile since my last visit, and he said, "That's okay! We're just glad you're coming in." My mind was already put at ease from my very first interaction. I had my first appointment yesterday morning, and all that was done were comprehensive x-rays and debridement - if you don't know what that is, Google it, and you might understand why it was pretty much the only thing that could be done that day, lol. Janet took care of me the whole time and made sure to walk me through every single thing she was doing. While I did take two anxiety pills before anything even began, which helped, her chair-side manner alone made me feel super relaxed. There's also something else that really impressed me from the visit. I had expressed how anxious I was and told the staff it had been *insert horrifying number here* years since my last visit. I know that any "dental factory" dentist etc would have taken my xrays, looked at my teeth, and went "You need 16 root canals, some braces, and you should probably come back for a deep cleaning every week lolbye". But I think that they interpreted everything with complete honesty and didn't tell me that I need extensive procedures x, y, and z. They know what needs to be done and I feel as if they're not going to make me sit through a zillion procedures I don't need (or want, let's be honest). Dr. Kim came in to chat with me before I left to go over the day's visit and to set a timeline for future visits. I'm going in for my next visit this coming Friday and I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I'm actually kind of...happy/excited to be going??? This is coming from someone who could barely discuss the idea of dentistry with ANYONE they knew for years. This place is a total gem and it is well worth the drive/bus ride etc. If you're looking for a place to get "care without fear", as Dr. Kim puts it, this is totally it. Ten gazillion stars for Ace Dental, and this is only after one visit where a simple procedure was done. That says a lot. read more

I hadn't been to the dentist in years and when I say years I mean over a decade. It's embarrassing to say the least, but my phobia of dentists is real and have had previous experiences that left me traumatized!!!!! I had tried so many times to make appointments at other offices but usually would hang up mid ring. After a tooth scare I knew it was time to make that appointment. Although I don't write many reviews, I sure do use yelp in researching companies, restaurants, etc. and came across Ace Dental. Not a single bad review and so I took my chance. From the moment I called, they listened to my concerns and reassured me that I would be in great hands and made me feel at ease. In wanting to maintain complete transparency in my review in hopes that someone else can relate and might be hesitant in making an appointment, this is the place to overcome your fear! I had a panic attack in their office almost as soon as I walked through the door; the staff immediately handled my anxiety in the most professional and caring way possible. Shout out to Lyndsay - hope I'm spelling her name right! After my melt down - yep, grownups have those too... Erin took me to the back to do my X-rays. She was super sweet, took the time to talk to me and really tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible. She was patient, kind and understanding. Then it was time to meet Dr. Kim. He too was completely understanding, did not shame me or make me feel bad about not having seen a dentist for so long, but instead tried to understand WHY I hadn't so he could make my experience different. 5 Shining stars to the amazing dental practice. I moved here about a year ago and needed a new primary dentist. I researched online for a while before choosing this office. The reviews did no justice to what these team has to offer. From my first appointment I fell in love with the staff, and felt very comfortable. You are first greeted by Lyndsey who is the client coordinator. She is full of life, and ready to help in any way. I had a recent procedure done and I told her I was nervous. She spoke to me until it was time to go in, and made me feel a lot more calm than I had entered. She's amazing! Joanne is also at the front, and oh so very sweet. She also took note that I was nervous and put the CUTEST New Hampshire teddy bear in my room to soothe my anxiety. That was something small that meant so much. Shaina, Harrison, and Karimah are all one of a kind! Down to earth, fun, attentive, and very knowledgeable and eager to answer all questions and make you comfortable! Now, the main attraction himself, DR. KIM! He is everything that I could have ever asked for in a provider. He also caught an on going I said that I had that my previous dentists had not caught. He is VERY thorough and informative with everything he does. He will answer any and all questions that you have. I love how realistic he is with me while still showing compassion. When I went to my own dentist with him for a second opinion and they said he was completely wrong and trying to make as much money as he could off of my kid. Great dental office full of talented, professional and personable staff all around I must say!! The previous practice here (Dr. Dean) was the only dentist I had for 20+ years so initially the transition was worrisome for me! However, Dr. Kim and his team put those worries immediately to rest for me! I've encountered three hygienists so far (Janet, Jamie, and Erin) take your pick, they're all great and super friendly!! Very personable and straightforward, he does a great job making his patients not only understand, but feel comfortable with whatever procedures he is doing. I met 3 staff members on my first visit to Dr. Kim's, as a new patient. All three of them were hands down the friendliest and most courteous folks I've ever encountered on a trip to the dentist. It was the longest conversation I've ever had with any kind of medical practitioner. Needless to say, these folks go out of their way to make their patients feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued.
