This is my first review for a practice I'm just starting up with, although my initial impression is…read morequite good. Dr. Hannawi had a tough task - he just acquired the practice of a dentist I've used (and loved) since 1989. During this transition we are still being seen in the "old" North Attleboro office, to give us all time to transition to the new relationship and slightly different approach to dental care. On my first visit, which my former dentist had scheduled to replace some older fillings, I already observed many instances of the change. The first was waiting nearly 10 minutes before being seated in the chair, which had never happened before. This was possibly due to using two computer systems to manage my record, possibly due to different times each practice allots for certain procedures, or maybe the extra time needed to meet every patient for the first time. Dr. Hannawi used a few different tools from my former dentist - a newer imaging system, a hand held small camera that could take digital images of my teeth, and a thin headlamp that was cool but would have frightened my kids when they were little. He also had a different view about replacing these fillings. He thought that even though they are both old, it was premature to do anything with one. As for the other, his recommendation was a bit more aggressive: the filling is large in relation to the tooth, so cap it rather than fill it. I already have two crowns but prefer to keep my own teeth as long as possible. When I indicated that, we moved ahead to the filling. There was a difference here too; only amalgam was used, not the silver filling material, regardless of whether we were filling a front or interior tooth. Since my insurance supports amalgam only for front teeth, my out of pocket cost for the service was three times more than it would have been with my former dentist. Dr Hannawi and his assistant Maria have great bedside manner and work efficiently together. I look forward to continuing to see them and eventually moving to their usual office in Attleboro.

Had impressions done for the partial, the girl that took them pressed so hard on the side where I had just had the teeth removed that it hurt badly and I told her that she was hurting me but she pressed even harder... Received the partial around March 13, it did not fit well, the side where the person whom took the impressions, the gum was much smaller there, that it made the bite where the teeth were touching on one side when I chewed but not on the other side.. now when I chew I feel a click on the side that is much shorter. Had an appointment with Dr Weber around March 23, told him the partial did not fit right, but before Dr Weber came in the room the person that put the paper bib on looked familiar, so I asked her if she was the one that took the impressions... she didn't answer, well when Dr Weber came in the room he was very insulted that I had asked her that. Well to make a long story shorter, he didn't even look at the partial and he told me he did not want to see me anymore.. well now I have a partial that does not fit correctly and I am out to $1700 dollars and a couple of teeth that I still feel should not have been pulled out. Oh, they did give me a credit for $900. (Big Deal) So sorry I went there in the first place. Lorraine Labonte

However, if you are in the working world, it is not okay. I saw Dr. Vo. Dr. Vo's background is extremely impressive, especially considering she is so young! First impressions, I was not impressed. Everyone has an off day, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The second time I came in, it was much better! She's not very talkative (which is fine, because I hate when they ask you questions and you got stuff all up in your mouth). I had my cleaning done that day, but was able to squeeze in a follow up appointment for a filling as well. For my first appointment, they gave me a water bottle as a welcoming gift. ALL the staff go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Procedures are explained very thoroughly, which alleviates a great deal of anxiety. Before any work is done, they go over your record, asking if there have been any changes to your health, current medications, etc. They're always asking "Are you okay?" or "Do you need anything?" or just stop when you signal to ask a question or take a breather. They never "dismiss" you and listen very carefully to anything you need to convey. (That's a HUGE plus in my book!) Compassion & quality time are first and foremost. I arrived at the appt 4/4 filled out the paperwork, they sat me in a chair. I inquired about the quote I received when I made the appt new patient exam $95.00 and single tooth x-ray $50.00. I was then quoted $170 for the visit, I was confused but said fine. Honestly I was more concerned about the visit and didn't do the math. At checkout I realized that was not the price I had been quoted by phone. Sam wasn't working. While I was inquiring about the pricing, a woman named Carrie proceeded to berate me in the most condescending tone, telling me I came in for an emergency visit. Mind you this is the first time I've heard of this. It is only a matter of $25 which isn't the point the point is I would never give my hard-earned money to a business that treats their customers in this fashion. On top of that I paid $50 for an x-ray that didn't even fully cover the tooth that was in question and spent 5 min with the DR for $120. Seriously ridiculous. I really needed the full evaluation as I anticipated I had other issues but felt like I was being dismissed. Dr G. As that's how I was introduced to him by the hygienist, argued with me about my bridge having metal in it. Which it does. He said I needed a root canal and is referring me to a specialist. I thought this company did all of that. Anyway I've spent enough time processing and not that I usually ever post reviews because I don't but this situation I'm hoping people are more aware when they go to the office if they are cash customers ask the questions, every question you can think about ask it before hand because the quotes they give you over the phone they won't honor.
