Months later, they finally realize they are massively libel (I'm guessing the office manager finally found out and told them they are in trouble and libel)..... they get me in. They X-ray and indeed find out BOTH fillings are messed up and jagged. Creating massive pain daily that would never go away until repaired. Nightmare family. The doctor I needed in LA went to the hospital with a slight pain,....ended up under a ventilator now for weeks, if he ever gets better, we already paid him. A cascade of disease that would have been caught, was missed. Our family is in ruins.

I decided to check out the reviews from Southcoast Endodontics. The doctors rated very well, but I chose Quan Nghiem, DMD. Sometimes you just get a feeling and go with it, which is what I did. At the end of March I went for my consultation. As soon as I walked in, I had already felt relaxed. The building was very well kept and immaculate. Karen Nunes, the receptionist was a pleasure to deal with. There are times I find that receptionists are not very friendly or accommodating. I have seen them be rude to other patients and even their own co-workers. That is definitely not a good reflection on the people who employ them. After filling out my forms, I was seen by one of the assistants, Karen Casado, who took x-rays. We started talking about different things. I felt like I had been going there for a long time. She was so easy to get along with. Dr. Quan Nghiem then walked in and explained to me what was going to be done. He was very friendly. They scheduled my appointment the following week. Second, there should be a stated policy in place that patients are completely aware of and understand, such as if a reading is high what is the cut-off for not doing certain types of dental care--whats the threshold? If non-medical office is going to practice medical doctor then an actual doctor should be performing the BP, not the dental hygienist. If this practice of taking BP is important to this office then they should have a complete family history of the patient to find out whether there is risk that BP could be a further problem. Bottom line: No dental office needs to take a blood pressure for a simple cleaning--its embarrassing we don't need to be lectured by non-medical doctors either. Go somewhere else where they practice common sense.
