I have loved Dr Patel from the very start of his practice in Bridgewater because he has always been understanding and will stop and let me swallow or take a break if I need to. I have had 4 crown procedures on back molars with little to no discomfort during the procedures. He always explains what he is going to do and adds information during the procedure if he needs to. He is patient and kind and attentive to my needs and fears. But the biggest positive for me is that he is highly skilled in what he does. I never feel the novocaine injections. He gives a little at a time so that you are numb for any injections after the first one. The results of his procedures are always incredible. I have had routine care and cleanings, bleachings, both at home and in office, and most recently I had 12 front teeth crowned. I have always been conscientious about keeping my teeth presentable, so when he recommended crowning my front teeth, I seriously considered it even though I am uncomfortable with all dental procedures, even simple routine cleanings. Dr Patel gave me a whole consult appointment where he showed me before and after pictures of other patients and explained the whole procedure and timeline as well as the cost and the benefits of doing it at age 71 rather than waiting any longer. It took 4 appointments to get the 12 teeth done, but I am ecstatic today with the results. He is able to correct imperfections in your teeth and make them whiter and he works at the fitting until they are absolutely comfortable. I would say I had some slight discomfort at times during the procedure, but Dr Patel made it very, very easy for even a very reluctant dental patient like me to go through this procedure. I would trust him with anything to do with my teeth. Everyone in his office is wonderful.

I sought him out specifically because I had heard of his excellent patient response. He and his staff have been wonderful to me and I certainly would recommend him to a patient who had experienced trepidation in going to a dentist!!!!!!

Even if Dr…read more Roberts made a mistake, there is NO way he would have not apologized and do his best to make it right! I kept going there because he was honest, considerate and worked to do the right thing for all his patients, not just the most expensive option.

DO NOT RISK YOUR LIFE!…read more I have been a patient at Gentle Dental for over 10 years, previously under the care of Dr. Roberts, who is no longer with the practice. Earlier this week, I underwent a routine wisdom tooth extraction that turned into a traumatic experience. I had initially canceled this appointment because, during a prior cleaning, I met the new dentist and felt uneasy about his confidence and competency. As someone with experience in the medical field, I now regret not trusting my instincts. The extraction was performed by Dr. Andrew Bejian, who I later learned graduated from dental school only one year ago. Midway through the procedure, I had to stop him due to unbearable pain and the extraction equipment resting on my lips. He struggled significantly, and I could feel cracking sensations, which I initially assumed was the tooth. When the tooth finally came out, a large portion of the surrounding bone came with it, leading to profuse bleeding that has continued for four days. Upon returning home, I removed the saturated gauze and discovered that air was escaping from the extraction site. It turns out that the bone loss created a communication with my sinus cavity--a condition that will now require surgical repair. I had asked Dr. Bejian to suture the site, but he declined. Both my primary care physician and the oral surgeon I have since seen were surprised that no sutures were placed. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the pain and swelling, stitches cannot be done at this time. Currently, the swelling on the left side of my face is so severe that my eye is swollen shut. I've been unable to sleep, missed an entire week of work, and remain in significant distress. I am exploring all available options but felt it necessary to share this experience to warn others: do not risk your health or your life--avoid this practice. I will never return.
