Because my mom lives nearby, I recommended this practice to her, so I was extremely disappointed to hear about her recent experience. From the moment she arrived, she was met with what she described as a very cold reception from the front desk. If you work in a healthcare setting, greeting patients with kindness and professionalism should be the bare minimum. Going to the dentist can already be an anxiety-inducing experience, and patients should feel welcomed and comfortable and not like they are an inconvenience. Unfortunately, her experience with Dr. Lin was no better. She felt that the bedside manner was lacking and that she was made uncomfortable during her visit. I understand that people come from different cultural backgrounds and may have different communication styles, but when you work in healthcare, you have a responsibility to make your patients feel respected, heard, and at ease. It took everything in me not to walk into the office after my mom told me about her experience. I recommended this practice based on my own positive experiences years ago, and I regret that my recommendation resulted in my mom having such a negative experience. Please do better. Patients have choices when it comes to their healthcare, and there are many other dental practices that understand the importance of treating patients with kindness, respect, and compassion. I wasted insurance money from other dentists because they couldn't fix my issue. After doing alot of research, I finally decided to call Allen Dental Braintree. Thanks to the front desk (Gina) who was very patient with me, explained and assured me that the dentists there can and will fix my issue. The dental hygienist Nicole also had a very friendly attitude and because of this, I felt less nervous. Other things I've noticed: I did feel my appt with the dentist was rushed. The place is roomy but there was some unpleasant smell in the waiting area. I got a sore throat a couple days later after the appt and I do think it was from this dentist office. I did not have any work done at this place so I cannot say about their work. But their referral specialist did fix my issue that had been bothering me for years. After one big strike out at another practice, I came here and Dr. Park and her team took excellent care of me! She is so kind and gentle. I had some fillings done, and she is really quick and has a fun banter with her assistant which helps me not think about getting my teeth drilled. I also recently had a cleaning with Hayley, and she was great too- super friendly! She was patient with me and it was a pretty painless and stress free cleaning. Dental cleanings generally speaking aren't the most pleasant of experiences, but with Nancy, there were no moments of wincing from the scraper digging too far into the gums. Dr. Grace has also been wonderful. Whereas before, my dentists would come by after a cleaning, have a look, and go on their merry way, Dr. Grace is different. Case in point - wisdom teeth. Other dentists would come by an ask "you have wisdom teeth, you want them out?'' "No?, Okay". Dr. Grace actually took the time to discuss pros and cons, show me with that little mirror (and a big one) the issue. He also pointed out that I seemingly had a tendency of unknowingly grinding and wearing down my teeth. No other dentist had pointed out the abnormally high amount of wear for someone my age.
