Even with a Lifeproof case, the screen broke ... on the EDGE ...which quickly spread across the remainder of the screen. [sad trombone] Used the GET A QUOTE button on Yelp, and received a quote a few hours later. [CHEAPER THAN SAMSUNG, and I didn't have to FedEx it away for an unknown time period]. There was one guy on duty, and he had another screen repair in progress, so I dropped off my phone, and ran some errands. Returned two hours later to a phone with a brand-new Samsung OEM screen. When I paid $106 the first time he told me it came with a warranty for three months. He then today told me that it was almost 3 months, but when I pointed out to him on a calendar that it was barely 2 months, he told me it was from where and tear on the HDMI port. I think it was very mediocre work done the first time causing it to have another issue. He should have fixed it again for free or at least half price and didn't. My recommendation is to steer clear. I think he does Shawty work so that you have to come back to him because he claims he has a warranty buyer beware.

My first experience was so good with Shang that I knew he was my guy if I had another problem…read more Well I got my same phone wet, not submerged but condensation that got inside the lenses etc, and it would not turn on, it was dead. Most places including the Apple Store said it wasn't even worth attempting a fix. I didn't have it properly backed up and it was just awful as u can imagine. I asked Shang if I could fed ex it to him and just try, whatever he could do. I sent it from NYC to him and was trying to figure out what I would do if he couldn't fix it. Well, I am now using it to write this review! I got it back a month ago, quickly, and have NPs! It's all backed up too so I won't have that problem again. He said it might overheat and reboot or have some problems, but other than the battery itself being wonky, it works just fine! It'll carry me til the new model comes out, which is great. Time to upgrade anyway. Shang is VERY fair with his charges, and Fed ex'd it back to me super quick!!! I gave extra bc I felt he earned it and I'm grateful for the two jobs he has now done for me. I can't recommend Shang at this location enough!

As for my data problem, the gentleman provided instructions for how to move the data without losing it. After speaking to an Apple tech, who advised I get a new phone because my version 11 phone has only half the capacity of the newer phones out there because "the upgrades require more just to run the phone" and since I can't afford one at the moment, this is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill !
