I've always been a fan of Harris Teeter in general but this location makes me rethink that. Half the time, they are out of what I'm looking for. The staff is rude. I don't want to say that for every employee because I have encountered some nice ones but the deli and floral department could use some more customer service minded individuals. I went in looking for a small arrangement for my daughter's teacher and the lady was very short and just said look in the case. Everything in the floral area was bare so I went to the case because I didn't have much time to go galavanting to other flower shops. It wasn't really what I was looking for but it got the job done. Then recently I went to order a sub and the lady was so rude. She just stared at me so I guess that was my cue to start my order. I wanted to make sure she was all set after wrapping stuff up from the previous customer. I let her know the type of sub I wanted and she just blankly looked at me without saying a word. I was like maybe she didn't hear me. I was a little confused. I said my order again and she just looked. I stood there for a moment because I was really confused. She said in a very rude tone, "well do you want bread with that?" I was like oh yes I'm sorry and told her the type of sub roll, not many options. I'm used to going through my sub order at most sandwich shops in an order and not rushing to tell them every single thing at one time. I don't like someone to feel rushed so I usually wait until they are ready for next step. When she went towards the extra toppings I immediately said the few items I wanted to add to it because she really didn't like that I delayed a tad to say my bread choice. Then she just said to me, "that's it?" She was even rude about how I wanted to build the sandwich. In addition to a couple meats, I got cheese and three other toppings. I'm sorry it sounds good to me and want to be able to bite the sandwich and not put a million things in it. They have always overfilled them when I got some in the past. I will avoid this location if I can. I will definitely go to a different sandwich shop where they are nicer. read more

shopping here reminds me of shopping in a Third World country. The shelves constantly look like we're about to be hit by a hurricane. The employees walk around like zombies, dead eyes guaranteed being paid the absolute minimum possible by law.. empty shelves missing items. Everything pushed all the way back as if not one manager has ever walked down an aisle and noticed the mess that we have to navigate just to get food for our families. It's no wonder Kroger is going out of business in droves. i'm so happy companies like Trader Joe's and fresh market are destroying these lackluster attempts to feed America. I wish everyone would just stop going there and not give them a penny. It is one of the more frustrating things and I expect more for a city like Mount Pleasant.. please just close your doors already. It's embarrassing. read more

Today, I found mango chunks at this store! I have never seen mango chunks sold at any other grocery store. I'm so excited to eat them as a snack while I work today. I also saw a cool cookie cake in there. Well I saw a few, but one in particular stuck out to me. It had a rainbow on it made of icing and it said on it - Taste the Rainbow !!!!! I love it. For those of you who don't live around here, Harris Teeter is a grocery store owned by the same people as Kroger. This is a busy Harris Teeter, with a tight parking lot. I use to regularly shop here years ago but will stop by when driving by on 526. The store was remodeled last year, and has an appealing look. But I find it's still rather tight in the produce, bakery & deli areas. I like HT for their assortment and variety, plus their prices are reasonable with weekly advertising on sale items. The produce is always fresh, and the deli/bakery has a good selection. Registers move fast enough, and they have a large self checkout area if you prefer to do your own. A long, long, time ago, Long Point Rd. wasn't much more than two lanes and a Waffle House, but many years later, it's home to Seacoast Church, Palmetto Islands County Park, and a newly-remodeled Harris Teeter. This is a typical Harris Teeter store, with thelocal products HT is known for. The store has a pizza counter, salad bar, deli/bakery, florist, and pharmacy as well as the usual groceries. It lacks a Starbucks, but there's one just across the parking lot if you need coffee while shopping. The grocery options are limited off this road, so you'll likely find yourself shopping here if you live or work in the area. The shopping center where it is located has everything else you might need (a liquor store, several restaurants, and a few specialty shops). With plenty of parking, you can easily park and buy groceries here then make your other purchases without having to move your car, which is always convenient. read more

The Harris Teeter at Belle Hall has the rudest employees I've encountered. Go to the meat department and get ignored then check out with a 150$ worth of groceries and get your raw chicken "thrown " in the same bag as the fresh grapes. Harris Teeter is an upscale supermarket chain with a better shopping experience than some of the other local chains. Brighter lights, nicer flooring, better shopping carts, nicer associates and I think better food too. I've shopped a couple "Teeters" and this is a nice one with all the bells and whistles, including a great deli section, bakery (free samples!), produce (more samples!) and a good beer and wine section (no samples). Prices tend to be a little higher than Bi-Lo and Wal-Mart but that's your tradeoff. It's bigger than it looks from the outside as they don't have a ton of windows facing the parking lot. read more

This is by far one of my favorite Harris Teeter stores to shop at. They always have some of the freshest produce, meats, and bakery items. The staff her is super friendly and willing to help; and if they don't have what you need you can always make a request for them to stock it and if it's in their power they will do so. The location is pretty awesome right off Long Point and 526, however the parking lot is a little sucky with the tight spaces. This location is certainly one of my go to grocery stores. read more

Harris Teeter in Belle Hall Shopping Center on Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant is a great place to shop for groceries. This is one of my favorite Harris Teeter location in the Charleston area as it always seems to be well run and managed. You can easily find exactly what you are looking for and everything is clean and well stocked. The selection here is great and while may not be able to find some items that you will be able to find in other locations they have all the major items that you need for a shopping trip. The deli section here is really good and stands out with their pizzas and different varieties of chicken. The staff here is really friendly and makes sure that you have all of the assistance that you need. read more

This is a small version of the HT stores. They do not have all the bells and whistles of the larger locations. I have visited several times when in the area mostly for the $5 sushi Fridays. They for some reason have a better selection than the HT's near my house. Surprisingly the sushi is pretty good. I have talked with the young guys who make the sushi and they were sent to CA for training on how to make sushi. The training was done by a Japanese Sushi Chef. The sushi is fresh and made with quality ingredients. It is very good when taking in the Friday deal and can easily satisfy that sushi craving. I usually get 4 containers and take them home to share with my girls. Will be back soon to get some more sushi... read more

I posted 2 years ago and gave 4 stars but today I'm going up to 5.. its not necessarily about what they carry or don't, it's really about the management and staff. This team knows you by name, which is crazy, but so great. As consumers, we are all about, what they can do for us? but i think we should get to know the people who are part of our everyday life. I love everything about Harris Teeter. They have the best sales around town AND their staff always knows exactly where everything I need is located. Their bakery makes amazing bread and the butcher staff are great to recommend cuts of meat based on your likes and even offer tips on how to cook! Definitely get a VIC card, because HT emails out super savings once or twice a week that can save you $5 or more on some things (we always watch the TP sales)! I did have to dock a star since they don't usually have the freshest looking berries. Sometimes it's okay, but I have to sort through the strawberries to find nice, firm ones. What is going on here??? Since remodel, the quality of the produce has gone straight downhill! I understand, there's a pandemic going on & it interrupts supply lines but...... On Thursday, I purchased fresh asparagus and onions along with other necessaries. On Saturday, I go to prep the asparagus for dinner.... I like to follow the natural break lines by bending stalk till it snaps! One-half of them bent so both ends were touching w/o breaking!! Sunday night, the onion a root vegetable (long shelf life) started sprouting! OLD!! This is just 2 examples, there are many more! I have always come to this teeter since moving to Snee Farm 2 years ago. I may be on my way out. I have waited in line to check it for nearly 20 minutes. They know sundays are busy but refuse to add staff to bag for the checkers. They got rid of the creamer I use and the produce section always seems to be under stocked. Frequently items on sale are not on the shelves. While the prices are consistently better than Publix, the amount of time it takes to shop here and the fact that I usually have to come back later in the week to get an item that is out of stock makes it incredibly inconvenient. I might be shifting loyalties! read more

A very nice grocery store and probably the best grocery store in Charleston. The selection is great and the speciality departments are also great. The bakery section is quite large and the various baked goods all taste good. They also have a great beer selection for a grocery store. The customer service is good- the employees are always nice and helpful. The only thing is that the front-end is on the darker side for whatever reason. Could use some more lighting. read more

Sometimes you think to yourself, don't be an elitist, facilities can't be great every time or should they? Today, it took longer to buy a few quick items at the grocery, than to stand in line during lunch at a restaurant!?!? You ask for assistance at one place, the worker yells at someone else; you ask at another place, again yells for help to someone else; then mention to an employee and they shake your head and say "so wrong" then offer zero help; then finally you see a manager and complain only to be told you are in a hurry, we will rectify this next time! I absolutely LOVE Harris Teeter. That being said, this locations is HORRIBLE. I complained with corporate and even got a personal apology call from the manager. I decided to go back and give them another try. MAJOR MISTAKE. I had accrued enough sub points for a free sub, so on my work lunch break I thought I'd take advantage of the free sandwich. The lady behind the sub counter was the same one I complained about before, and she was rude yet again (I had been back a couple times since complaining and there hadn't been any real problems, just not the customer service I know Harris Teeter to provide). She thrust the sandwich towards me, no "have a nice day" or anything. Plus, she put the sandwich together haphazardly. I go to the check out line to get my free sub and deal with more rudeness. The points are for a free footlong, but I am a petite female, so I can only eat a 6 in. I explained this to the cashier and he looked at me like I was speaking Greek to him. He called over the customer service manager and she was RUDE. She started arguing with me!!!! All over a free 6 inch sandwich! She said, "It's for a free 12 in." I told her I couldn't eat the whole thing. She said, "Well you should take a 12 in. and save the other half for dinner or something. What a waste!" I replied, "I make dinner...I don't eat sandwiches!" What was my fiance supposed to eat if I ate a sandwich? She reluctantly rang the sub up as a footlong and gave me the 6 in. for free. I told her thank you, and she walked away without saying anything to me. I don't feel, as a customer, that I should be argued with by a manager! I worked for Harris Teeter as a cashier in high school, so I am aware of the customer service policies Harris Teeter has in place. This Harris Teeter location is TERRIBLE. Been shopping here since they opened. I have never found the store anything but clean. Always friendly customer service. This last week when Hurricane Matthew was coming our way they did everything possible to make sure everyone had what they needed and then they closed up shop so everyone would be safe. I appreciate that the all mighty dollar wasn't their concern, their employees and their families was. This is my main grocery and now I remember why. Happy employees make it great. read more

Very pleasant store to shop in. The selection and prices were both great, and the store looked very clean and modern. The check out cashiers were very polite and very nice to deal with. They signed me up for a VIC card, which was a very easy process. The only complaint was that the manager found it necessary to argue with the cashiers right in front of me, the customer. If you're a carnivore, as I am from time to time, the HT is the best store in the area. Their beef tastes the best and sells at the best prices. Their other meats are similar. Their shelf items are attractively priced during special promotions and their coupon policy of doubling up to 99 cents (and sometimes more) is unequalled in the area. The Publix provides some good competition and complements the HT shopping experience. Using both allows the shopper to select from the best items at the best prices. Their prices have recently started to rise after the Kroger acquisition but they're still competitive. Most of the staff are helpful and accomodating and their hours are super. They market beer from time to time very well although they ignore wine unless it's a closeout item. There's a good spirit within the store that makes things happen in a proactive fashion and that effort shows in customer satisfaction. read more
