Not the deli. I bought a turkey wrap and the wheat wrap was stale and hard. I usually get the cheese bread but did it different this time. Tried to return 2 items without a receipt and was told by the Customer Service person I needed to provide the date and time of purchase....here is what is on their website..."Harris Teeter accepts returns without a receipt, but a receipt can help. If a receipt isn't available, store employees can look up the purchase in the company database. If they can't find a record of the sale, the refund will be issued as a gift card at the current price of the item". This Harris Teter location is located in Harrisburg. It is a newer store and therefore is a little bit more modern than some of the others. It's also a bigger location than most other Harris Teeter's. You have your typical pizza area, deli/bakery, meats/seafood and other areas. However, you also have a very nice hot bar, where you can make your own plates of food with a variety of options. There's also a salad bar which is make-your-own as well. Every time that I've been in this location, I always have a great experience. The staff is always friendly with a smile and is there to help you whenever you're looking for a specific specific product. It is located directly off of Highway 49 in Harrisburg and it is within a semi-large shopping center. Therefore, there is plenty of parking to go around for the busy shopping center. read more

I really like this HT. It's clean and well organized. Stopped in a couple of times recently, to pick up drinks and then later to pick up sub trays. I went on the app fully expecting to price the trays and be prompted to input credit card information to place the order. Surprisingly, no CC was required. I was able to order my two trays a couple of days in advance for a Saturday morning pickup. When the time came on Saturday, I got a text message about 10 mins early to say that the order was ready. When I got there, they acknowledged me immediately and brought the trays right out. The cashier at the front was in training, but was very polite too. It's refreshing to get good service at establishments, I'd return again and again because whoever is leading the employees at this store is doing a good job. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service there! Always! I had to wait 4 minutes at the deli counter while employees (the deli manager) was busy chatting with his employees and on his cell phone. I returned just a few short days later for shrimp. I waited for a long time after I rang the bell, at least 7 minutes. I got to look around the corner to see if anyone is around. Just as I do this an employee comes through the door yelling at me not to come back behind the counter! Like I was going too anyway! I mean seriously! This is my email to harris teeter/kroger's complaint department. [Barring an absolute emergency, I will never shop at Caldwell Crossing Harris Teeter again, and to not want harris teeter to reach out about this complaint. This is not my first complaint, so I will recap some below. I was once a valuable "loyalty" customer. , you may have to go far back to see how much I used to spend, it has been decreasing with each additional harris teeter/kroger let down. Pharmacy: The set up is horrible with the extra barriers added due to covid, there is almost zero chance of having a welcoming PRIVATE experience. Just stand at that counter, during busy hours, and see what I mean. I was not greeted for about a full minute, and when I was, there was no eye contact (so I guess she was speaking to me). Finally, she asked my information (again with no eye contact). When I provided my child's info, I was told there is no prescription. I said "I was told yesterday by harris teeter, that it would be ready today". She asked me what I'm here to pick up (Again, stand at that counter and tell me how I can answer that question without announcing it to everyone standing around me.) This exact situation happened previously with a different employee. This is the second time I was asked at harris teeter pharmacy to announce what I was there to pick up. I should even not need to ask to have some cut, it's dinnertime, they are on sale, they should be ready (no supply chain excuses, there were plenty on the shelf, just not thick cut ready at the counter). Advertised items policy: I cannot understand how harris teeter can advertise a product in your sales circular, and then let managers indiscriminately decide to NOT CARRY A SALE ITEM, if it's not selling fast enough. Not a terrible policy, as long as the manager can do some kind of basic cost analysis. Is the product space for one unflavored Califa non dairy Creamer (which you advertise in your circular), worth more than I spend in your store? That one incident is what sent me to Publix, which carries and regularly has on sale the one product harris teeter refused to carry for a once good vic customer. I hope someone has enough pride in their job, to change the business culture at harris teeter/kroger. All I have left to do, is post my complaint on yelp, which will include what it was like when I worked for harris teeter, when I shopped at the REAL Harris Teeter. I did my job.] When I was hired at Harris Teeter, before I ever interacted with a customer, I was trained in a classroom, by a beautiful ready to retire man named Bill. Imagine that, live hands on training! After that, I had regular online training (at work). The pay was crappy, the hours sucked, and the work was hard. But I was never cut a break, part-time or full-time, young or old, male or female, most pulled their weight, and stuck to company policy which management pushed. IT'S CALLED A BUSINESS CULTURE (or corporate culture), it must be created and maintained by management. I really like this Harris Teeter. (There's a Starbucks in it. They make a delicious pumpkin cake!!). We stopped in one day for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I ate from their Asian bar and everything I had tasted fresh and delicious. There was a man, (I believe he was the one preparing the food), making sure everything was presentable, and the area neat and clean. There was hardly anyone in the little seating area, so we sat and ate and enjoyed our lunch. It was about 12:15 p.m. A decent place to grab a bite to eat, sit down and relax. read more

It's not often I get to patronize a brand new supermarket. Usually they have been in the neighborhood for some time. I was pleasantly surprised with how much nicer this HT is compared to the others further down University City Blvd and the surrounding area. Very modernized, the deli area is much larger than normal. I saw many items here than I've ever seen at other Teeter stores. There are two hot food buffets in addition to the fresh pizza area. Almost every checkout lane is staffed, but that may change over time. Hopefully everything else stays the same. read more

Originally I had given this HT 5 stars, but after 2 awful incidences they are going down to 1. 1. I (mom) had ordered a cake for my son's birthday. My husband had gone to pick up the cake (dad). He had no idea what I ordered but just picked it up for me. When he brought home the cake I had noticed they did not write Happy Birthday with my sons name on it. when I called they immediately started to blame me for not telling the lady what to write, or to write anything at all. I calmly explained that I did, and I distinctly remembered as she asked me how to spell his name. He offered a refund, but I was just irritated that I would be to blame and why didn't my husband say something. 2. Today I was standing in line with just a few items. A cashier came up to me and said she could help me on another aisle. I started to walk over when another customer who didn't realize I was coming walked ahead of me to have his cart rung up. I thought she would tell this customer that I was actually next since she asked me to come over. But NOPE! She started ringing him up, even looked me in the eye and ignored me. I even said "seriously?", she looked up at me and shrugged her shoulders and continued on with the other customer. Would have been pretty easy to explain to the other customer that I was actually next, especially cause I only had a few items. Guess that will be the last time I shop there! read more

Michael is the most disrespectful person I have ever met. Every time I come here he never greets me with a smile nor does even greet me. I was in the middle of having a friendly conversation with an employee and he asked me to leave the employee alone and leave his store. I come in here more than twice a week. Harris Teeter has wonderful customer service. All of the employees are very friendly and helpful. The store is clean and the service is quick. The only problem I have is that they allow their employees to smoke out front beside the shopping carts. They are literally sitting on the railing of the shopping carts in their uniforms smoking. When walking into the store, you have to walk right through the smoke and smell. Don't take the smoking section away, just move it to the side of the building so customers don't have to be around it when walking in or getting a cart. The only reason I have it two starts is because of this smoking section. read more

This is my favorite location of Harris Teeter in Charlotte. The store is newer so it is aesthetically pleasing. They even have a gas station where you can get 3 cents off a gallon when you use your VIC card. also, they have a vast selection of organic and fresh vegetables and fruits. There are always great deals when you use a VIC card and evic specials. This location also has an Asian bar that is fantastic although a little pricey at 7.99 a pound. The staff is always kind and courteous and yes there is a Starbucks on site. read more

I used to live in North Carolina and visit Harris Teeter on occasion. How did I not know that they carried dry ice?! Is this a thing? Is there much demand for it? OK. I needed dry ice to package up some cupcakes that I had just purchased. There was a small wait at customer service. They were trying to find something for a customer. The dry ice was very near by and the customer service employee was fairly good at estimating how much I needed. Knocked down one star due to the state of the bathroom. Needed some major attention.
